Awesome scene and rooftop bar. The atmosphere is fun but you do pay for the experience. Bartender was very nice.

It's worth every penny for the ambience. Rooftop bar with a greenhouse feel and beautiful decor. Service was extremely Friendly but we did wait a bit for our orders. Cocktails are crazy expensive ($50 for 2 mixed drinks and 1 soda), but you're paying for the view. We came on a Saturday around 3:00, wasn't very busy but the DJ was good.

At first our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be bothered but as the day continued to go along she became nicer, accommodating and the food was very good and hot as ordered. I had a really great time! Huge thank you to Joanna because she really did a great job job in taking care of my reservation for my birthday. I highly recommend for nice views, good music and excellent vibes. "Copy review

I went at night real late for a drink and ended up wanting to sit down and eat. This spot does tables for $75 a person, unfortunately they were all reserved. Just a heads up that the drinks are more tax than the food. It's swanky and the crowd is great in there. The music is also great and the vibes were immaculate. I would say sitting upstairs aay from the bar area, was a bit secluded in which I felt our waiter forgot about us. The sushi and bao buns were great, but I wouldn't recommend the buffalo brussels.

Another favorite rooftop! I really do love how this rooftop have so many different type of rooms/sections with different aesthetics. The drinks are good and the food is delicious but of course with this location, it's a little pricey. I do think you get what you pay for but there are rooftops that may be a tad bit cheaper. There's a lot of parties and events that are hosted at this location so it's very popular in general. But come on any night of the week and you will still have a great time and enjoy great customer service. Every time I've been there there can be a little bit of wait, depending on how busy it is but still great service. I'll be back again lol

Stayed at the hotel for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised by the rooftop bar. With immensely tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, the golden hour vibe here is insane. The neon lights and vibes at night, create a whole different energy, taking the place from cocktail hour to party. They have a good number of tables and seating, with space for large parties at their booths. I thought the drinks were amazing, two nights in a row I had a Mezcal sour, which is my first time ever seeing that on a bar menu, and such a great combination. Their food was also really good, the truffle fries were delicious, and I ordered a musubi, which came out, and I thought it was a standard sushi roll, it looked so different from your traditional musubi, and tasted different too. But I loved their take on it and would totally recommend trying it out. The sliders were also really good, everything was a pretty good vibe and the service were very nice and attentive. The prices are not cheap, but you are paying for the ambience. Totally will come back.

Came here to enjoy an after work happy hour and loved it! We were a pretty big group but we were able to be seated fairly easily which was much appreciated. The drinks were really great! Had a wide variety and you'll instantly earn cool points for having a Penicillin on the menu. Service was good too and this spot is absolutely beautiful - I walked in and was so amazed. I can't speak to the food as we only tried the pizza which was good. Overall I'd definitely come back for drinks if I lived in the area.

There is something special about dining on a rooftop. Open, airy and spacious. The day was perfect; sunshine all around adding to the already scenic views. Kendall, our server had the perfect personality for hosting. She made sure we always had everything we needed. She was able to give detailed answers about the menu and suggest great drinks. The brunch menu is quite extensive, so many great options, including vegan and vegetarian. They have thought of everything. Bottle service is available if you are interested in elevating your dining experience. We each ordered different items and agreed that everything was delicious. The star of the show however was the chicken, cheese and herb empanadas. We had to order another round of those. Which came out with our second drink. Timing could not have been more perfect. The live DJ was nice; not too loud. We were still able to converse without yelling. Our work schedules don't allow us to get together that often. When we do, it's like it was just yesterday that we saw each other. Always nice to catch up. Good food and drinks make it worth it.

What went wrong: 1. Ordered Korean BBQ wings and got wings with Asian seasoning (notice how my pic does not match the ones posted by others) 2. Asked for ranch. Was given "ranch". The nastiest ranch ever. I asked the ppl who bring out the food to confirm if what I had was ranch. The man confirmed. I told the waitress the "ranch" was nasty. She asked me to describe it. I told it her it could not be ranch. I never had ranch like that before. She went to the back and then came back to table to tell me what was given was indeed NOT ranch. It was an aioli and apologized. 3. No one else followed the dress code. The party across from me also had balloons. 4. My reservation was at 2:30pm. I was told at arrival that the kitchen closed at 3pm. The brunch menu on Saturday was very limited as well. What went well: 1. Nice views 2. Liked the music 3. The waitress removed the wings from my bill. 4. Was convenient since I am staying at theWit

Came here for a dinner with friends and was highly disappointed. It was my first time there and I want to add that it is very overrated and overhyped on social media. Don't get me wrong - BEAUTIFUL place! I didn't get to experience the open rooftop but I do plan to come back for a party or something instead. I will not order food here again though. SUPER expensive my goodness and NOT worth it at all. The sushi was not that good, pretty basic if you ask me. The pizza was decent but small. The drinks were not hitting at all which is insane for.. again... the price.

We decided to choose this amazing rooftop for our anniversary date and we did great choice. Starting from the cocktails, the food and the service everything was amazing . This place it's such a nice cozy spot with a romantic view and outstanding service. We enjoyed very much . Truly recommend if you want to have a nice romantic date or just hang out with friends. Our server did awesome job surprising us with the chocolate cake in the end .

Pretty good and service was great.

The vibe was amazing during the day with a DJ and a nice Happy Hour. It was a definite after work unwind spot. It was a super warm day allowing for sunshine and a nice breeze from the retractable window. The evening was definitely more of a club chill vibe . Of course another great DJ, food and space for dancing. 2 bars and plenty of lounge area. Some nights are managed by a promoter but not during my stay. Saturday is clearly made for brunch as I took advantage of people watching in the lobby before heading out to explore. Make sure you check out the walk out deck..amazing photo spot. Next time I would love to brunch.

FRAUDULENT CHARGES ADDED AFTER DINNER We visited for a birthday dinner on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The meal itself was fine, and our original bill was $245.00, which already included the gratuity. I also left an additional cash tip. The major problem happened the next day. On Friday, November 21, 2025, an unauthorized $50.00 charge was posted to my credit card as a "cash tip" that I absolutely did not approve or leave. This is outright theft and credit card fraud. I immediately disputed this fraudulent $50 charge with my bank. It is completely unacceptable for a business to modify customer charges after they have left. I strongly urge anyone dining here to check their credit card statements carefully for unauthorized additions. What should have been a lovely evening was ruined by having to deal with the stress and inconvenience of financial dishonesty. I will never return.

Do DJ's still play same beat EDM music on weekends?

How do I get a table by the window? All I see is reservations for lounge or no lounge. Which one has better views of the city?

We believe the Lounge has better views of the city. But it is not outside, which some people prefer!

What is the age limit for the events?

We allow accompanied minors prior to 7:30pm daily when open to the public. There is not a specified age restriction on private events.

What kind of music does the dj play late at night?

Erica, ROOF DJ's play a mix of pop and electronic music on Friday and Saturday nights after 9pm. On Thursdays, the Champagne All Stars play classics with a twist. Check out our website https://roofonthewit.com.

What is the age range of the people who go late at night?

It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. My favourite touch was the coasters, I ended up keeping all of them so that I can reuse them at my galentines event next year. The 'bisous' with the kiss on the other side is a perfect touch! Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!

Collectively, we ordered more than half the beverages on the menu. I won't go into tons of detail on them, since some drinks are seasonal, but I will say that it was a blast experiencing craft cocktails and mocktails at their finest. I love the menu concept of the birds that fly farther along the page to indicate how alcohol-forward the drink is. That's a really fun idea! Lots of people (Sat night starting @ 10p), seats a little hard to come by. Drinks were very good, strong but not nuts. Prices were average for Chicago. Bartenders were very cool. The main guy stayed in the center of the bar all night and he had a great attitude; smiled all the time and was cool all night! Would go back any night and recommend to all looking for a fantastic bar.

You only get two per order, but they're so good you won't mind ordering another round. They do have other flavors, but at this point, the buffalo ones are a must every time. The drinks are also really good and a little different from most places. They put thought into their cocktails, sometimes using things like pure cane sugar and unique combinations that still taste great. Definitely recommend Brandon as a bartender...he did his thing. The vibe is dark and moody, which I love, and they even ring a little bell at the bar. Right next door is Sunnygun, their brighter, brunch style spot, which makes for a cool night to day contrast, even though I haven't tried it yet. I've always sat at the bar, and service has been great. MoneyGun has become one of our go to bars, and we'll definitely be back.

I get why it is always booked. If I was to come back, I would do it all again except ...maybe instead of the burger... try something else hmm

The Fam and I are always looking for new places to indulge one of our favorite food groups, which…read moreis brunch with bottomless mimosas. After doing a search on Yelp, I decided we should check out HIDE+SEEK. Ding ding ding! We have a winner folks. We decided to go with the Brunch Party. First let me start off saying that Brunch Party is one plate, one side, and endless mimosas. The entire table participation is required and there is a strict 1.5 hour time limit. That said, Angelique (was our server) was on point during that time period. Our glasses never got pass the half-way mark and a good time was had by all! HIDE+SEEK has a pretty chilled vibe and the décor was cool, a very nice bar area, booths on the east side of the restaurant and tables in the front. I think there was a back area, but can't for sure as I didn't explore as we were seated immediately in our booth. Angelique was very cool. She welcomed us and asked if it was our first time there (it was) and began to explain the menu, focusing on Brunch Party and that everyone at the table had to participate, which we did. For my entrée I got the Short Rib Hash (Sunny side up egg, piquillo pepper, red wine jus, rosemary mornay) and my side was Eggs Your Way (over easy). I got an order of the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (honey-whipped ricotta, blueberry compote, maple syrup) for the table. Both dishes were very nice. I am a sucker for anything with short rib meat in it and this hit well with me. The pancakes were good, nice and fluffy, and the compote was very good. They weren't as lemony as I have had at other restaurants. The flavor was there, but in a subtle way, almost like an afterthought, but still nice. The pancakes themselves were nice and fluffy, just they way I like them. The Doctor got the cheeseburger and fries, which looked nice. He cleaned his plate so I have to assume it was good. The Queen got the Steak and Eggs. I had a bite of the steak and it was tender and had a nice flavor to it. Overall we had a great time and while it was only an hour and a half, it seemed longer. I will totally come back here again for brunch, but want to check out their happy hour and dinner as well. The menus looks interesting.

Even so, it wasn't enough to necessitate the price tag, which all of my friends and I were surprised by when we paid at the end. The cocktails were outstanding - we all enjoyed our choices. For some of us, they were enjoyable enough where we got the same one more than once 0:) Our server was not very friendly - she does not need to act like our BFF or anything like that, but she was cold and seemed annoyed by our questions and such. She also had no idea about the wine, so my friend just rolled the dice on what she wanted without knowing much about it. She wound up liking it - but more clarity would've been helpful (or even seeking out someone else working there for more info!). Minor environment note: The largest artwork there is a triptych of photographs - three famous women: Princess Diana, Sharon Tate (I think?), and Marilyn Monroe. There is a horizontal band going across where their eyes all line up, and the band replaces their eyes with cartoon eyes, likely of Disney princesses. It is supposed to be quirky but I found it creepy, especially since it featured three famous women who met untimely ends.

We decided to dine at the bar so we could take advantage of the everyday happy hour and use our InKind app. The espresso martini was a HIT. Our favorites were the chips and dips, cheeseburger, chicken taco pita, truffle fries, and oysters. The wings were just okay and I did not love the herb aioli. Our bartender server, I believe her name was Delia, sorry if I spelled it wrong, was super nice. She got slammed but still gave great service the whole time. The ambience is gorgeous and the music really set the vibe. Would definitely come back!

Even the area they kept water for easy access was well thought out. I started with a dozen oysters and ended with the wagyu smash burger, as it was a must order. The wagyu smash burger was pretty good and filling. I'm not the biggest fan of burgers but this one is definitely worth trying! My waiter was attentive and chill. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and can't wait to come back!
