Came here last night for the jazzy music tribute to Prince by Marqueal Jordan and his band. We had a dinner reservation at 7:15 and the show started at 8 in the Drawing Room. While the band was warming up, the 1960 black-and-white romantic comedy/drama The Apartment was playing on a big screen over the stage. I loved that, but I did wish that closed captions had been on. We had the burrata (awesome) and split the smash burger and a side of fries. Both were good, and there was a great sauce/aioli served with the fries. The show was awesome, this band really cooks. We each had a couple of cocktails and they were also good, and balanced, so not too sweet or sour. My husband felt that his drinks were a little too sweet. The vibe is retro, sexy, upscale and with fun touches like the showgirl wallpaper designed by Melissa Scott in the entrance area. The whole space is beautiful and would be great for a date, girls' night, guys' night or any special occasion. One really nice thing was that during the band's intermission there was a fabulous performance by the burlesque dancer Lily Rascal. What a fun way to keep the party going. 7/3 for the Prince tribute - Great plan - poor execution!!! Hidden Entertainment fee and Merchant fee????!!! What???? This is my 4th visit and they still can't get it right! Drinks were good and music was great but service slow as they are way understaffed! Food over priced and not that great....our calamari was gross and pasta cold and too rich. I wish I could say this place is great, but it's not and unless there's a band playing I would love to see I won't be back..... i So over priced and overrated ... those hidden fees are BS!!!! read more

On Tuesdays, they offer a $49 tasting menu. The portions were large enough I couldn't finish everything despite being voracious. While there was a spread, the meal was above average overall. The breakdown: 1st course - Parkerhouse Rolls: I have to give them points for showmanship. The beef tallow candle is a bona-fide candle! While there is an element of gimmickiness, it creates a fresh-tasting warm dip. The rolls themselves, while not the best bread I've ever had, were fresh, of perfect density, and wonderfully herbaceous. I give these a 8/10. 2nd course - Kale Caesar Salad: This is one where I tried a couple of forkfuls, and then said I didn't want anymore. I can award some consolation points for a healthy amount of parmesan, and accoutrements of garlic breadcrumbs, almonds, and egg yolk. Outside of these, however, the star of the show was a basic caesar dressing with kale that didn't taste much like anything. I give this a 2/10 3rd course - Grilled Oysters: This was hands down my favorite dish of the evening. I thought I wasn't a fan of cooked oysters, until I had these. The smell was as smoky as a campfire, the oysters cooked perfectly with a herbaceous and slightly acidic sauce and no fishiness! It reminded me of stupendously executed escargot. This dish deserves an 11/10. 4th course - Crispy Shrimp: The shrimp themselves were cooked well, and had an almost too-light breading. What helped elevate this dish was everything else. herbs, spices, sauce, olives, tomatoes, and greens all worked together well. It added savory, fresh, and acidic notes to the dish. An 8/10 from me. 5th course - Duck Confit Cigars: I appreciate what they were going for here, but the dish felt a little uninspired. They seemed more like a simple appetizer of duck rolled inside phyllo/wonton dough and fried. I can't complain about the marmalade, and it did help a little by adding sweetness and a little citrusy bitterness. These were pretty good, but if having a cigar, would rather have a Cuban - 7/10. 6th course - Marinated Cucumbers: Unlike the Caesar Salad, this vegetable course was superb. The flavor of the marinade was light and not at all overpowering. The cilantro added some herbiness, while the date puree added savory sweetness, and the garlic-chili crunch a little bite. No notes, a 10/10. 7th course - Skirt Steak & Crispy Smashed Potatoes: When the plate arrived in front of me, it made me wish for Smell-o-Vision, or, whatever the equivalent is here. Smell-o-Yelpision? The potatoes were divine, with the chicken cracklings helping add crunch, savor, and a heavenly smell. While I don't know if I can call them "smashed," they were still spud perfection. Spudfection? The steak was good, but not amazing. It was generally cooked well, though I can't say it was medium-rare throughout. While it was a fine cut and well seasoned, it was a hair shy of fork tender and melt in your mouth. The Aji Verde, while intended for the potatoes, went well with both. A dish that makes me wish I wasn't already full, and would devour everything in a heartbeat - 8/10. Dessert course - Apple Pie Cheesecake: Alas, by the time we got to the end, I was already stuffed. However, through and through the dessert screamed homemade by a pastry chef who knows what they're doing. Apple-y cake, lightly crisp crust, homemade whip, caramelized apple pieces, and gelato! Time to save room for dessert on a return visit! For being the apple of my sweet-tooth's eye; a 10/10. Drinks: I know that I had a Savoy Strut and a Blind Tiger. I'm sorry to say my mind did not retain specifics, but can tell you the cocktails added great creativity. Both were well-balanced in terms of sweetness, booziness, and savoriness, though not mind-blowing. A beer-goggle-less review of 9/10. Vibe: The atmosphere is a blend of moody, modern, and upscale. It has tasteful splashes of color, music playing at just the right volume, and tables not spaced too closely together. The bar seating reminded me of the uber-comfy bus driver seats that do a little ploosh when you sit. (10/10) Service: Credit to the bar-server for being friendly and welcoming, as well as making sure I was happy and asking for feedback on what about the salad I didn't like. However, I'd like to note as it was his first Tuesday shift, he didn't know about the Tuesday Tasting Menu, and some things arrived out of sequence. To be clear, this is not a failing of the server, but management for not offering proper, timely training, and having him work alone. Bonus to the staff for quickly 86'ing someone who was WAY too happy in public. Service gets a 7/10 Final verdict: I crunched some numbers. If "7" is average, Untitled Supper Club averages 8.2 on an equally-weighted basis. The tasting menu gave me a good picture of their offerings - enough to say what appetizers to get when coming with friends so I don't stuff myself with too much bread prematurely, unable to enjoy a dessert. read more

The food was magnificent and the service ( bartenders, appetizer passers, servers and those tidying up) were professional, personable and ever so efficient! Came here with friends for the Unbridled Burlesque show. The show was great! The dancers were amazing and I really enjoyed the show! I love the ambiance of the place, feels very high end and intimate. Perfect place for a date night or girls night. Major complaint is that the waitstaff cleared my drink and our apps before I was done drinking and eating -_- . This happened as soon as we asked our waiter for the check. Thought that was pretty bad service, as we were still snacking on the apps, and I still had probably a quarter of my drink left. Guess they were ready to get us out of there as quick as possible. Other than that, the food that we shared and the drinks were pretty good. On the pricey end but I guess it makes sense given how nice the place is and the location. I'd definitely recommend for the show but would advise to hold off asking for the check until your REALLY finished. read more

Best time to go is on Thursday for the burlesque show! The steak is amazing! I definitely recommend the seafood tower! The service was amazing! Drinks were delicious but not too strong. Food 20/10! Such a beautiful space! We enjoyed dinner in their room called The Whiskey Library, and I was instantly captivated by the sexy Art Deco décor and inviting atmosphere. It truly won my heart. We opted for the tasting menu this evening an incredible way to sample nearly everything they offer. It features seven full courses, and trust me, you will leave very satisfied. The service was wonderful as well. Our hostess, Evy, was fantastic and made the experience even more enjoyable. There's so much happening throughout the different rooms - live music and even burlesque shows. The whole place gives off an elegant speakeasy vibe. I love this spot for the shows, music, drinks and dancing. However I would skip dining. They tack on an entertainment fee and have extremely slow service with no apologies. Our skirt steak came out cold, and the staff kept trying to take our food while we were clearly still eating. We shared fries and Brussels to start which were both tasty. I wish I could give a 5 to Fernando and a 2 to the other bartender. Overall this place has a great vibe and I was happy I found it. The bouncer out front was nice and when I asked 'is this a speakeasy or a strip club?' He asked 'what do you want it to be?' This cracked me up so I went in. No cover charge on a Saturday night. There was a burlesque show going on and live music later in the evening. I ordered the 'Hootch Harlot Manhattan'. Then the woman next to me offered to buy my drink due to a funny interaction at the bar. The one bartender couldn't figure out how to do this so I said to make me another Manhattan instead of not charging me for the first one. Well that one tasted terrible compared to Fernando's. We stopped in randomly looking for drinks and nice music but at the time, a burlesque type of show was on. We're burlesque fans and have been to shows in several places. The performers at Unbridled were enthusiastic, some talented, some not so much. The MC was fun and we enjoyed the show. They could do better with the programming so it builds. It was kind of haphazard. Our waitress, Crystal, was great. The main detractor is the Loud music!!! The music between sets is just way too load. Can't hold a conversation or hear yourself think. Bring earplugs and take them out for the show part. Yep, I'm old, but I still have my hearing in my 60s. read more

Come for the vibes, not necessarily the menu. While drinks were classics with fun twists and speakeasy style names, the menu is over priced and limited. The ambience is stunning and worth stopping in for a post dinner drink or a fun girls night. Servers were kind but bar service was busy so book a table for more expedient service. If you're a whiskey/bourbon fan, they have an EXTENSIVE collection (and even a members club where you can store your own really adding to the speakeasy charm) and host a yearly ticketed tasting that looks incredible. read more

The food, however, wasn't very memorable or enjoyable. When we went, there was flooding in our area which caused some commotion, but the burlesque performers still made an appearance mid show. I love this venue. I have been two times. Once for a drag brunch and another time for DJ event. The event space is massive with several different rooms. Each room is distinctive with its own style. We enjoyed the bar room as it had sexy couches and furniture. This place is a gem and I wanna come back to try their happy hour. Additionally they food. For the brunch the food was delicious. At the bar we enjoyed some truffle fries but the menu looked decent. This venue is centrally located with plenty of meter parking. Additionally, there is a huge parking garage nearby. read more

We had a unique, fun experience at Untitled Supper Club this past weekend. After dinner at another restaurant, we visited for drinks and to listen to music. Turns out entertainment was a swing band - prob not what my 20-something daughter and her boyfriend would typically choose - but we ended up having a great time! How different! This was a fun experience for our whole group. The service was adequate, not really a place to know your server because of the loud music and entertainment. The food was tasteful, I tried the calamari, Brussels sprouts, and crispy smashed potato which I enjoyed. The interior has fun wallpaper, intricate lighting, and comfy chairs. I was flying solo and the bar seats were taken, but there was a really sweet hostess that gave me a booth to sit with a really great view. There was a 2 drink minimum which was easy to accomplish! This was a pretty cute bar we went to after dinner for a work trip. Hard to find which adds to the speakeasy feel. Also the decorations were really nice ans also gave it that prohibition feel which I really liked. The drinks seemed good but I opted for a wine to control tbe alcohol intake (since witj coworkers). Their wine menu wasn't great but usually you order cocktails at these bars so I understand. The place wasn't really vibing. Barely any music. But we did come on a Tuesday haha. This place looks unsuspecting from the outside, but is one of the coolest spots I've been to in the city. The food itself is enough reason to come here. But add an unbelievable vibe and beautiful atmosphere, and jazz and a burlesque show? Feels too good to be true. We went during restaurant week and got our res for 8 about a week in advance. Started with a pornstar martini. I don't even like martinis and this was amazing. Next up: wagyu tartare. Unbelievable. The waffle potato chip pairing? Questionable. I feel the flavor could have come to life more with something like bread. Everyone at the table finished this course. Next: pear chicory salad. Somehow made a salad be the best thing you've ever tasted. Riddle me that. Up next!! Steak frites. This was my favorite thing on the menu. Which is saying a lot because the other two were so good too. Words can't begin to describe this. At this point I ordered an Odd Bird. You cannot go wrong with tequila. Or cinnamon. Tasted better than the pornstar martini but keep in mind tequila beats vodka imo Last up was the apple pie cheesecake and oh my god. No words. I'd recommend this place for a plethora of occasions. Went here for the first time for a Lectures on Tap event and had such a cool experience. The space itself has that speakeasy vibe -- dark, moody, and really atmospheric. Our server mentioned they have the largest whiskey collection in the Midwest, which is seriously impressive. We kept it simple with some fries (crispy and delicious) and a whiskey flight of oak-barreled whiskies. Loved every sip -- smooth, rich, and definitely worth exploring if you're into whiskey. Overall, a fun spot that's great for events, drinks, or just soaking up the unique vibe. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu (and maybe a few more whiskeys). read more

Their drink menu consists of well-balanced, perfectly strong cocktails with unique garnishes at very reasonable prices. You can take the party to the main room, but the dining tables require reservations or require that you order food on a show night and while I have yet to try their dishes, they're highly spoken of. read more

We had a business meal with 9 people and simply put, our waiter did not pay attention to us. Drinks took forever, we waited over an hour to get rolls and appetizers, and several of our orders were forgotten about or never came. They also forgot two people's meals. It was just bad. Was treated to a dinner here for a birthday trip. Was very impressed with the entire dinner. We were greeted promptly and walked to our table right in front of the stage which I was very appreciative of. I'm a big burlesque fan and was so excited. The server was very attentive and let us know their favorite dishes and drinks. We enjoyed the food, but we enjoyed the shows even more. All the dancers were tasteful and very interactive with the crowd. The ambience is top notch. It felt like a true speakeasy with dim lights, red tint, everywhere, and bottles and bottles of drinks. Would definitely recommend for any tours or Chicagoian alike to experience this at least once. read more

We went out with some friends for my first visit to Untitled for a Blues Show and Dinner. I really liked the experience coming downstairs to the main bar and check in areas. Kind of feels like you're being transported into a new domain. It's a nice balance of contrast from dark vibes to swank decor. The staff was extremely nice checking us in. I really liked the front desk and the beautiful design throughout. You're coming to see a show and had nice seats right behind the main stage with great views of the rear bar in performers. We started with cocktails and i really loved The Godfather... it's like an old fashioned in a way with a twist. The amaretto was surprisingly a nice touch and really enjoyed that cocktail. We were pleased with our server as he was on top of every detail. We tried a few dishes to start as appetizers and especially enjoyed the grilled bread and Burrata. For my main dish I had an excellent salmon dish with Grilled Broccolini, Cippolini Onion, Raisin Pine Nut Relish. I really liked how it was prepared and the presentation and tastes excellent. We got garlic mashed potatoes, rosemary fries and crispy Brussel sprouts for some sides. Our entire table really enjoyed their meals. To top it off the bathroom are pretty epic which sounds odd, but I am a bathroom junkie undesigned and it really is nice in there . Even though the band was playing, and we were right next to it, it was a little too loud, but it wasn't too bad and after all, we were there for the music it it was a little bit hard to talk sometimes. We had a large party reservation for this restaurant, but we wanted to come early to grab a cocktail and chat before. The inside of this place was unreal. It's underground so it's a bit dark, but the decor and lighting was matched perfectly. Because we had such a large party, we had a prix fix menu. It consisted of a Caesar salad, steak or fish with potatoes and vegetables and a nice dessert. The food was good, but not piping hot unfortunately. During dinner a band started to setup to play some amazing music and we were in awe of the entertaining in the stage. He had an amazing voice and got the whole crowd energized. Andrew what an amazing waiter because he was so confident in the country. He was also very friendly. The food portions were gigantic, but it was a little bit oily and salty. The flavors were very good and they were well presented. The french fries were crispy. The drinks were good. They always have live events here. Today 3/4/25 they had a live Marco Gras band and they were great! Passionate and fun and great music. They also had a burlesque dancer. Added fun to the place.
