Wow! We went to Untitled to celebrate our anniversary--what a great night. The decor was amazing, the entertainment was fabulous--Motown style band and a burlesque dancer, and the service was very attentive. A great whiskey selection and delicious cocktails. We ate in the main room while watching the band, then headed to the whiskey room. Each area of the large restaurant is beautifully decorated with elaborate light fixtures, beautiful furniture, and fun wall decor. The smash burger, fries and cookie dessert were really good, while the pasta was ok. We can't wait to go back!

On Tuesdays, they offer a $49 tasting menu. The portions were large enough I couldn't finish everything despite being voracious. While there was a spread, the meal was above average overall. The breakdown: 1st course - Parkerhouse Rolls: I have to give them points for showmanship. The beef tallow candle is a bona-fide candle! While there is an element of gimmickiness, it creates a fresh-tasting warm dip. The rolls themselves, while not the best bread I've ever had, were fresh, of perfect density, and wonderfully herbaceous. I give these a 8/10. 2nd course - Kale Caesar Salad: This is one where I tried a couple of forkfuls, and then said I didn't want anymore. I can award some consolation points for a healthy amount of parmesan, and accoutrements of garlic breadcrumbs, almonds, and egg yolk. Outside of these, however, the star of the show was a basic caesar dressing with kale that didn't taste much like anything. I give this a 2/10 3rd course - Grilled Oysters: This was hands down my favorite dish of the evening. I thought I wasn't a fan of cooked oysters, until I had these. The smell was as smoky as a campfire, the oysters cooked perfectly with a herbaceous and slightly acidic sauce and no fishiness! It reminded me of stupendously executed escargot. This dish deserves an 11/10. 4th course - Crispy Shrimp: The shrimp themselves were cooked well, and had an almost too-light breading. What helped elevate this dish was everything else. herbs, spices, sauce, olives, tomatoes, and greens all worked together well. It added savory, fresh, and acidic notes to the dish. An 8/10 from me. 5th course - Duck Confit Cigars: I appreciate what they were going for here, but the dish felt a little uninspired. They seemed more like a simple appetizer of duck rolled inside phyllo/wonton dough and fried. I can't complain about the marmalade, and it did help a little by adding sweetness and a little citrusy bitterness. These were pretty good, but if having a cigar, would rather have a Cuban - 7/10. 6th course - Marinated Cucumbers: Unlike the Caesar Salad, this vegetable course was superb. The flavor of the marinade was light and not at all overpowering. The cilantro added some herbiness, while the date puree added savory sweetness, and the garlic-chili crunch a little bite. No notes, a 10/10. 7th course - Skirt Steak & Crispy Smashed Potatoes: When the plate arrived in front of me, it made me wish for Smell-o-Vision, or, whatever the equivalent is here. Smell-o-Yelpision? The potatoes were divine, with the chicken cracklings helping add crunch, savor, and a heavenly smell. While I don't know if I can call them "smashed," they were still spud perfection. Spudfection? The steak was good, but not amazing. It was generally cooked well, though I can't say it was medium-rare throughout. While it was a fine cut and well seasoned, it was a hair shy of fork tender and melt in your mouth. The Aji Verde, while intended for the potatoes, went well with both. A dish that makes me wish I wasn't already full, and would devour everything in a heartbeat - 8/10. Dessert course - Apple Pie Cheesecake: Alas, by the time we got to the end, I was already stuffed. However, through and through the dessert screamed homemade by a pastry chef who knows what they're doing. Apple-y cake, lightly crisp crust, homemade whip, caramelized apple pieces, and gelato! Time to save room for dessert on a return visit! For being the apple of my sweet-tooth's eye; a 10/10. Drinks: I know that I had a Savoy Strut and a Blind Tiger. I'm sorry to say my mind did not retain specifics, but can tell you the cocktails added great creativity. Both were well-balanced in terms of sweetness, booziness, and savoriness, though not mind-blowing. A beer-goggle-less review of 9/10. Vibe: The atmosphere is a blend of moody, modern, and upscale. It has tasteful splashes of color, music playing at just the right volume, and tables not spaced too closely together. The bar seating reminded me of the uber-comfy bus driver seats that do a little ploosh when you sit. (10/10) Service: Credit to the bar-server for being friendly and welcoming, as well as making sure I was happy and asking for feedback on what about the salad I didn't like. However, I'd like to note as it was his first Tuesday shift, he didn't know about the Tuesday Tasting Menu, and some things arrived out of sequence. To be clear, this is not a failing of the server, but management for not offering proper, timely training, and having him work alone. Bonus to the staff for quickly 86'ing someone who was WAY too happy in public. Service gets a 7/10 Final verdict: I crunched some numbers. If "7" is average, Untitled Supper Club averages 8.2 on an equally-weighted basis. The tasting menu gave me a good picture of their offerings - enough to say what appetizers to get when coming with friends so I don't stuff myself with too much bread prematurely, unable to enjoy a dessert.

Came here with friends for the Unbridled Burlesque show. The show was great! The dancers were amazing and I really enjoyed the show! I love the ambiance of the place, feels very high end and intimate. Perfect place for a date night or girls night. Major complaint is that the waitstaff cleared my drink and our apps before I was done drinking and eating -_- . This happened as soon as we asked our waiter for the check. Thought that was pretty bad service, as we were still snacking on the apps, and I still had probably a quarter of my drink left. Guess they were ready to get us out of there as quick as possible. Other than that, the food that we shared and the drinks were pretty good. On the pricey end but I guess it makes sense given how nice the place is and the location. I'd definitely recommend for the show but would advise to hold off asking for the check until your REALLY finished.

Best time to go is on Thursday for the burlesque show! The steak is amazing! I definitely recommend the seafood tower! The service was amazing! Drinks were delicious but not too strong. Food 20/10! No pictures bc this place you have to be there to see it! Be on time and they also have a private area. I've been here on dates with my husband. Other nights, outside of Thursday, it's live music which is fun too. For colors red, bold purples, and jeweled tones are highly recommended .

Such a beautiful space! We enjoyed dinner in their room called The Whiskey Library, and I was instantly captivated by the sexy Art Deco décor and inviting atmosphere. It truly won my heart. We opted for the tasting menu this evening an incredible way to sample nearly everything they offer. It features seven full courses, and trust me, you will leave very satisfied. The service was wonderful as well. Our hostess, Evy, was fantastic and made the experience even more enjoyable. There's so much happening throughout the different rooms - live music and even burlesque shows. The whole place gives off an elegant speakeasy vibe. A beautiful venue with outstanding food, exceptional service, and a uniquely immersive atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I wish I could give a 5 to Fernando and a 2 to the other bartender. Overall this place has a great vibe and I was happy I found it. The bouncer out front was nice and when I asked 'is this a speakeasy or a strip club?' He asked 'what do you want it to be?' This cracked me up so I went in. No cover charge on a Saturday night. There was a burlesque show going on and live music later in the evening. I ordered the 'Hootch Harlot Manhattan'. Then the woman next to me offered to buy my drink due to a funny interaction at the bar. The one bartender couldn't figure out how to do this so I said to make me another Manhattan instead of not charging me for the first one. Well that one tasted terrible compared to Fernando's. So Fernando made me a correct one. Thanks, Fernando!

This is the one time where my review may not mean much, I'll have to update it whenever I come back here. We stopped in randomly looking for drinks and nice music but at the time, a burlesque type of show was on. This seems to be a place that would be good to plan before just stopping in unless you just want a nice place to drink. I'll definitely be planning a time to come back

I love this spot for the shows, music, drinks and dancing. However I would skip dining. They tack on an entertainment fee and have extremely slow service with no apologies. Our skirt steak came out cold, and the staff kept trying to take our food while we were clearly still eating. We shared fries and Brussels to start which were both tasty. The kale ceasar was good and a nice big portion. Skirt steak was nothing special and cold.

We're burlesque fans and have been to shows in several places. The performers at Unbridled were enthusiastic, some talented, some not so much. The MC was fun and we enjoyed the show. They could do better with the programming so it builds. It was kind of haphazard. Our waitress, Crystal, was great. The main detractor is the Loud music!!! The music between sets is just way too load. Can't hold a conversation or hear yourself think. Bring earplugs and take them out for the show part. Yep, I'm old, but I still have my hearing in my 60s.

This place is big so I'm not sure it qualifies as a true speakeasy but it is so very cute. We heard a great singer, Mon'Aerie, and it was great. The music was loud but the vibe was great. We didn't eat.

I love this venue. I have been two times. Once for a drag brunch and another time for DJ event. The event space is massive with several different rooms. Each room is distinctive with its own style. We enjoyed the bar room as it had sexy couches and furniture. This place is a gem and I wanna come back to try their happy hour. Additionally they food. For the brunch the food was delicious. At the bar we enjoyed some truffle fries but the menu looked decent. This venue is centrally located with plenty of meter parking. Additionally, there is a huge parking garage nearby.

Come for the vibes, not necessarily the menu. While drinks were classics with fun twists and speakeasy style names, the menu is over priced and limited. The ambience is stunning and worth stopping in for a post dinner drink or a fun girls night. Servers were kind but bar service was busy so book a table for more expedient service. If you're a whiskey/bourbon fan, they have an EXTENSIVE collection (and even a members club where you can store your own really adding to the speakeasy charm) and host a yearly ticketed tasting that looks incredible.

I've visited this place several times and never disappointed with service. The performances are fantastic. The atmosphere is very amazing, intimate and inviting. There's a long set of stairs leading down to lower level oasis. Once you come down stairs.. wow, mysterious vibe Now I know it's called untitled supper club. There's no name is hood enough to capture essence. The drinks and food taste great. Unfortunately; they have limited options for one who appetizers. I'm not a fan of oysters. The drink menu are endless. I love coming here especially on Thursday and Friday nights

Untitled Supper Club Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Untitled Supper Club

On Open Table there are multiple seating options for reservations. What seating option should I pick in order to see the live entertainment?

I recommend sitting in the main dining area located around the stage.

If I make a Drawing Room or Live Show dinner reservation for Thursday 8pm, do I need to make another reservation for 10pm if we want to stay for the Nightlife Experience to go dancing?

Jamed, You are welcome to stick around for late night. A formal reservation would not be needed unless you wanted to keep a table.

For burlesque entertainment, should I sit at a standard or high top table?

    Hi top!

Do you need reservations if you're only coming for drinks on a Friday night?

Generally yes, but we tried without one and were able to get a seat at the bar. I'd say if you're in the area, give it a shot!

Do you have live music everyday? Do you offer anything for birthday

There is usually live music Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (and a burlesque/variety show on Thursdays)

Is there shows after 9? We'd like to come just for drinks

The shows vary in start times but generally extend past 9pm

How old do you have to be to enter?

    21.

    Do you have whiskey flights?

    Yes

How far in advance would you recommend making a reservation for a Saturday evening?

Hi Brian, we recommend making a reservation as soon as you know when you'd like to come in! It's hard to predict exactly how quickly nights fill up, the but sooner the better!

Which days there's burlesque show? Is it every Thursday?

    Yes, every Thursday, 9pm!

Are there any vegetarian options ? How big are the shared entrees?

Hi David! Yes there are definitely vegetarian options on the menu. You can view the full menu on our Yelp Profile page or at https://www.untitledsupperclub.com/menu. Our whole menu is designed to be shared and the sizes of dishes vary, even entrees.…

    What's required dress attire?

Suggested attire is business casual, though if you're going later at night more club wear is okay. I've gotten in wearing jeans and a nicer top. They state no t-shirts, shorts, sandals, or sneakers/gym shoes on their website.

I'm looking for a great spot to celebrate a birthday; what is a good night Friday , Saturday or Sunday.? Do you have live music on Fridays? Should we come here for drinks only or both drinks and drinks?

We are open Monday through Saturday, and have live music Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights and Unbridled, our Burlesque and Variety show on Thursday nights. We always recommend having “both drinks and drinks,” but we also have great chefs and a…

Are there valet parking? Are we able to utilize the valet parking service at mercadito? How much is their valet parking?

Hi David, because of our location we are not permitted to have valet out front, but you are more than welcome to utilize the valet parking directly across the street (north side of Kinzie) at Mercadito (108 W Kinzie St).

Let me just say this first... the ambiance is SO chic! I loved all the pictures and the vinyls throughout the restaurant. I came a little after brunch, so they had a live DJ spinning some really good, easy music. It was definitely a vibe. I had the pleasure of being served by Paulina, and she was great! Very attentive and, what I appreciated most, she was actually honest about what she liked and what she didn't. I love when a server will give you their REAL opinion instead of telling you everything on the menu is good. I decided to try the Elote Deviled Eggs because I wanted something different. And different they were! If you're a deviled egg lover, just know this isn't your typical deviled egg. They're served on top of a slice of corn on the cob, which I thought was pretty unique. Now let's talk about these chicken wings... I was VERY disappointed. To me, they tasted like frozen wings that were thrown in the oven for a few minutes... or maybe it was the sauce? Either way, I would not recommend the wings. That was definitely a miss for me. BUTTTT the crispy zucchini fries with the aioli??? Yeahhhh, those were GOOD! 8/10 for me. I could definitely order those again. I also had the Pillow Talk drink and it was delicious! Definitely enjoyed that. My friend ordered the crab cake and let me tell you... REAL crab! None of that fake stuff lol. That was really good too. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the music, the service and definitely some of the food. There were a couple misses for me, but I'd come back and try some other things on the menu. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy, and intimate, which made it perfect for continuing my birthday celebration. Our bartender was incredibly attentive, kind, and welcoming, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. We made a reservation and paid a deposit in advance, which was applied toward our final bill. I really appreciated how seamless everything was. They even surprised me with a little birthday treat and a candle, which was such a thoughtful touch and made me feel celebrated. We had a wonderful time from beginning to end. Great drinks, great service, and an amazing vibe. I would absolutely recommend The Office for an after-dinner experience, a pre-dinner cocktail, date night, or a special celebration. I will definitely be back!

I sat at the bar downstairs and can confirm the place has a classic speakeasy feel -- the the basement of a place behind a locked door, very dark inside with mood lighting/glass cases and leather chairs/couches around small low tables. It's definitely a great date spot! I took off a star because it's pricey -- I got the "milk punch" on their classic cocktail menu which was $25 and is pretty small, but it's a nice drink and tasted very much like a milk punch drink I got at a speakeasy back home (in Austin, TX). The bartenders were super nice and provided excellent service, no complaints there! The bathrooms were also immaculate. Overall, this is a very nice speakeasy! I've been to many in my day and the ambiance is definitely on par with the best, but I gotta say some other unique ingredients (ideally more floral options!) would really take their menu up a notch! Nevertheless, I would def rec a visit to those visiting Chicago, and would go again even just for vibes :)

However, come here only for the vibes and your IG pics because that's all there is to this place. The ambiance is very moody and sexy which I love however, I felt like I was sitting in seating meant for toddlers! It seemed like all the seats were super low to the ground and i'm pretty short so not sure how the taller folks feel. It felt super awkward to sit in the space. Our drinks tasted like pure perfume so it was disappointing considering they were almost $20. I'll be skipping out on the lounge and will only enjoy the restaurant spaces in the future. Prime Bar's bar on the first floor is 100x better if you're looking for a good drink and aren't too invested in vibes.

I'll start out by saying that the time in the Aviary was the best cocktail experience we have ever had. Not saying the best cocktails (even though they were very good), but the best experience as far as interesting presentations and overall service combined with good cocktails that when you were drinking them did not feel gimmicky at all, but that everything had a purpose. My wife did the 3 drink progression and ordered The Partridge, The 3 Martini Lunch, and the non-alcoholic version of the Kyoto Plum. I got three cocktails, but because I opted for one on their barrel aged part of the menu, my progression was basically a la carte, not the 3 drink $75 price. We also opted for one small bite of food - The Truffle explosion. My drinks were the Cereal Killer, the In The Rocks, and the Blood and Sand. As far as favorites went Joy's Partridge was basically a Mint Julep with some warming spices, but the presentation was great. Almost every table got that drink so it must be well received. My favorite was the Blood and Sand that was just a really well balanced cocktail. I think that part of the menu does not get the elaborate presentations. We both also enjoyed sharing the 3 martini lunch which was a small version of a Vesper, a Gibson, and a dirty Martini. Two things about this drink, we like our martinis with gin rather than vodka (obviously a Vesper has both), but their rules are that there are no changes to their menus, so both the gibson and the dirty martini were vodka based. The Gibson and the Vesper were our favorites of the three as the dirty martini was too dirty. There was even more olive brine if we wanted it dirtier. Bottom line, top notch experience, great friendly service, and the atmosphere was awesome watching the room being served some of the drinks we had, and ones that we did not order. The Truffle Explosion was also a very good bite, basically a truffle/parmesan infused soup dumpling that exploded in your mouth and helped out with a little food in our belly while having all that alcohol at the same time. The only disappointing cocktail was the Kyoto Plum mocktail, interesting presentation, but tasted just like grape juice - no real character. A hostess from Next came and got us and took us to our table in Next for the 1987 Manhattan meal. Thanks for a great experience Aviary!!

We made a reservation for their three course cocktail experience for four of us which required a deposit of $75 per person. Only one of us ended up doing the experience (the rest of us were too full and already tipsy from dinner) but it was nonetheless, a very cool experience. Service was top notch. My partner has admired this place for a long time, as a bartender himself, and he has even learned a thing or two from their Bible-like cookbooks. So when the maitre d offered to allow him to step into the kitchen and help finish one of their cocktails, he was absolutely giddy. This was such a memorable and special touch for us during our visit to Chicago. I loved seeing how the kitchen worked together in a traditional kitchen line but only focusing on cocktails. It was an impressive thing to see. Many of the cocktails are presented in an incredibly theatrical way featuring interesting glassware, dry ice, and even a plastic bag filled with flavored air. I actually wasn't a big fan of the cocktail I ordered (it leaned too heavy into the BBQ flavor for my taste) but I enjoyed trying everyone else's cocktails at the table. I would definitely recommend checking out The Aviary if you are a cocktail enthusiast hoping to try something you can't get anywhere else. It truly is a fine dining experience with mixology at the forefront.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere is fun, and the cocktails are solid. I had the espresso martini and the 100 Year Old Cigar. Both were good, although I think Gilt Bar's sister restaurants have the stronger cocktail game. My Tinder matches: Onion Rings: Immediate super-like. Gorgeous, exciting, and I'd absolutely swipe right again. French Fries: Matched, chatted for a bit, then realized there was no chemistry. Unmatched. Truffle Mafaldine: Very attractive, great personality, and definitely getting my number. Strong long-term potential. Cookie: Cute. We went on a casual date, I had a couple bites, and I'm open to seeing where things go. But honestly, our waitress was the real reason this went so well. She was personable, attentive, and somehow managed to make the whole experience feel effortless. When one of us mentioned not eating dairy, she even brought us a free gelato. Overall: Would swipe right. Would exchange numbers. Would see again. Definitely recommend.
