I called West Oahu Roofing after the storm that hit Oahu on Thursday, January 30, 2025 because I discovered a small leak in my living room. Bernard, the owner & President came out Saturday following the storm and found the leak right away. Despite being a small job, he promptly submitted a proposal. After other companies came out, I hired West Oahu Roofing. Bernard also sent his carpenter to look at a corner of my home subject to rot due to rain/moisture. In a few days both my leak in the living room and exterior rot were fixed on the same day! I certainly recommend West Oahu Roofing, and will call them for future roofing issues.

It was approximately 10 years ago, I had a roof leak and was frantically looking for someone to repair it. After calling several companies who didn't return my calls, I got in contact with Charles (Chuck) Wooten. He dropped by early the following morning and within minutes, my roof was repaired. Expecting a costly bill, I was pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable charge. I called on Chuck and Bonnie repeatedly over the years to fix my leaks as they happened and each time they did a fantastic job. This past week, I heard a dripping noise coming from the attic. Yep, there was a leak. I immediately called Chuck and early the next morning, he and Bonnie took care of the problem. Chuck told me the root of my problem was the placement of my gutter downspout. Cecilio came over, checked my property and later gave an estimate for the job. I then hired this company to install gutters on my house. Later, I noticed an unusually high amount of leaking from my gutters. I also noticed a screw ripping out of my tile wall causing a hole. I then noticed that the down spout was installed backwards. One corner of the gutter is leaking so loud that my neighbor thought it was coming from his house. There are more issues.... I contacted the company and spoke to an employee Megan, who explained the job was conducted by an unauthorized family member. She sent someone over to take a look. The employee came and said they couldn't do anything about the faulty installation and gave the same excuse as Megan did about a family member doing the work. I contacted her again and informed her that I paid with a personal check written to "A to Z Roofing," not to the so called unauthorized family member. I also requested to speak with Cecilio (owner), since the company had already received and deposited my payment. Megan later emails me saying someone would come out on a Monday and asked, if this was ok? I emailed her back responding, yes, and asked, what time? There was no response back from Megan. Monday comes, and no one shows up or contacts me to inform me that they will not be coming to our agreed upon appointment. As a result, I called the company and left them a voice message. I called again, and once again, no one answered. Then, I had someone call soon after and Megan answered the phone. It appears that they have blocked my phone number or recognize my number and are avoiding my phone calls. Also, they do not accept calls from blocked numbers. Initially, I expressed to Megan that I was willing to work with the company to resolve the issues I had with the company's poor, sub-standard workmanship. The check was written out to "A to Z Roofing" and was deposited by "A to Z Roofing." Therefore, they are ultimately responsible for correcting the many installation errors that was installed by them. But instead, they are just taking my money and ignoring my calls and emails. Obviously, it is clear based on their avoidance behaviors, and the fact that they have made no effort to rectify this problem, that they are not intending to resolve this problem in a professional and ethical matter. If you are thinking of using this company for anything, THINK AGAIN!!

Koolau Roof Tech., business owner (Kirt), was very professional, and knowledgeable about roofing shingles, yet really humble and cordial. After inspecting the condition of the roof for the rejuvenation spray, Kirt also mentioned several items that should be addressed on my roof. He also addressed any concerns and asked whether I had any further questions. Kirt later provided a detailed comprehensive report, with images of the roof areas to be sprayed, the missing shingle caps, and the cracked vents. The report fully explained what would be done to bring the roof back into shape, and the cost. The morning of the roof spray was seamless. Kirt was very prompt and informed me of his arrival time. It took only several hours to complete the tasks, and Kirt and his assistant (Father) were once again very professional and cordial. Everything around the perimeter of the house were returned to the original location, and they really prepped the areas on the ground to minimize the overspray. Upon completion of the job, I could immediately tell the difference in the roof shingles. What really impressed me was the detailed post roof spray report. Images were provided of the roof spray before, during and after, and all the completed roof caps and cracked vents. For anyone who is contemplating on using a rejuvenating roof spray to extend the life of their shingle roof, I would highly recommend calling/emailing Kirt at Koolau Roof Tech.
