They protected the landscape around the house and cleared the area before starting work. They arrived when they said they would (actually early) and finished the job (tear out shingles, new boards as needed, added insulation to the attic, rerouted vents, new roof) in one day (about 11 hours). The crew cleaned up the area and made sure no debris (nails, scraps, etc) were left. I've moved to another house in 2014 and wanted to replace the roof. I called Imperial for a quote to do the job. Neighborhood keep us abreast of the weather/schedule and came and did the job as soon as the weather allowed. They kept both the integrity of the roof and the need to meet a time deadline in mind and really helped us out. We are homeowners not roofing professionals, it was nice to know that they've been in Ann Arbor for so long, to know that they are well thought of in the community. We were able to trust them in their pricier advice. And for the scope of the work I feel the price was fair. A roof costs money, doing a roof the right way costs money but at least I know we paid a fair price for a job well done. What surprised me most was the obviously rotten wood that was never replaced, despite it being impossible to miss. There were also numerous smaller issues, such as the use of finishing nails on siding boards, which is completely inappropriate for that type of work. In the end, I had to hire another company to redo the job correctly. Communication was just as disappointing as the workmanship, as the owner rarely responded to my messages. In my opinion, it's best to look elsewhere.
