David went above and beyond with showcasing their products really well and answering all of our questions. He sent us home with fabric swatches and set up a direct link for us to purchase. The reason for leaving the review was for the attentiveness from David. He sent out an email to check in if we had other questions (and we did!) and if we had any last minute changes with the configuration. We appreciated the fast response to our back and forth emails! They look saggy, the sections don't align the way I would expect a normal sofa to align, and the overall appearance and feel do not match what was advertised. For what I paid close to $7,000 I expected a premium, comfortable, well-designed sofa. Instead, I feel that the product is overpriced and heavily over-advertised compared with what you actually receive. The biggest disappointment is that I ultimately ended up putting the sofa in my garage because I don't want to use it. Spending nearly $7K on a sofa only to have it sitting in the garage is incredibly frustrating. I regret spending this much money on 7th Avenue and would not make the same purchase again. This feels like terrible marketing and customer service to not make it right or attempt to. Do not buy this product if you want a smooth recline and are looking for the leg and head recline to be independent of one another. It's not comfortable. The only thing it's got going for it is it's beautiful. I wish I would have never bought this because now my only option is returning with a 50% restocking fee. We were initially eyeing sofas from Restoration Hardware, but they were very expensive, and we saw that other folks complained about poor quality, delivery times, and customer support. We came in to Sofa U Love after seeing one couch on Craigslist that looked roughly similar to what we were after. We were helped out by Benny from our initial walk-in. While we had looked at other "custom" sofa places, you were mostly looking at set models with some options around fabric. Sofa U Love was able to make a mock of the RH couch we were eyeing, then let us customize everything down to the arm width, to the stitching on the cushions. Benny and the team were super communicative as it was built out, and I appreciated their design insight. Our couch came in substantially less expensive than the couch we had been eyeing, built with solid wood (vs MDF), with faster delivery time, and made in California! It's rare you don't have to make tradeoffs!
