The salads are very good but this place lacks customer service. I have had issues with their customer service in the past but wanted to give them another chance. First couple of times had no problems but this time.....here they go again. Emailed my lunch order for delivery . After a couple of hours when my order was still not delivered I called and was told my order is on the way. 40 minutes later I receive a call from them that my order is ready for PICKUP . Pick up???? Good food - SERVICE and STAFF are the most rude and unprofessional. We placed an order for 15 people via fax. Fax confirmation that ALL 15 were received. They simply DID NOT FILL 5 of the orders. Our NEW CEO was here as well as 2 others from corporate. What an embarassment!!!! Worse - when we called at 1 to tell them of the missing orders - they were CLOSED!!!! No apology, nothing! So, I guess I'm going to break the ground on this new Room Service review (check out Room Service - MOVED for older reviews). This is the same place, just moved a little closer to I55. This is a delivery/pickup lunch place that has been around for 15-20 years at least. The owner is often compared to Seinfield's soup nazi, but no worries, they take orders by fax so we just do that, lol. The salads are huge - the take out box is packed to the brim. I'm an average eater and I can rarely eat half. We've learned to toss the salad, remove half to eat later, then add dressing. Two meals for $10, not bad. All the ingredients are super fresh. The meats are well prepared and nothing out of a package. They do in-house dressings and specialty mayos that you can choose from, plus have salad add-ons if you want more toppings. Note: the sides include a cup of home made soup - opt for that over the chips for sure. The side salads are good, too. Everything is $10.50 with tax, pickup or delivery. For the portion size, I think it's a good deal as I always get 2 meals out of each. I was fortunate enough to have lunch delivered from here several times recently. Here's a few of my favorites: Pam's Salad: grilled chicken, apples, walnuts, cranberries, blue cheese, bacon, egg, red pepper, spring mix and added avocado. I chose balsamic vinaigrette from their large menu of fresh dressings. It was a creamy style and very good. This was a great combo - not sure it needed eggs/bacon but it was delicious. Bombay sandwich: chicken tandoori, avocado, green onion, spinach, swiss, bacon, sprouts, mango chutney. This has a thick slice of seasoned chicken plus the toppings. The chutney makes this one sing. Colorado Salad:chicken, pears, bacon, blue cheese, crispy noodles, egg, tomato, red onion, spinach, lettuce. I added avocado - another winner. I got pecan vinaigrette with this, also great. Uptown Sandwich: grilled chicken, cranberries, blue cheese, pecans, red onion, tomato, lettuce - if you like these ingredients you'll love this sandwich. Other favorites include: Washington, Destin, Waldorf, Cuban, Deltan, well tbh I've not had a bad meal here. So... if you're in NE Jackson, it's a great option. We use them to cater work lunches and everyone is pleased. Not sure if I'd venture in to pick them up based on the comments about the owner, and I sure wouldn't modify the salads/sammies like I do via fax so keep that in mind! read more

I walked in and the employees were NOT wearing masks. I was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes when I placed it on the phone. After THIRTY minutes passed, I kindly asked if I could go ahead and pay, since I was in a hurry. The lady rudely stated " you can pay when you get it" without explanation. When over 5 more minutes passed and other people getting a salad who ordered AFTER me (I'm a vegan so my salad was simple as they come) got theirs before mine, I kindly asked the other employee why I couldn't go ahead and pay since I was in a hurry. The other employee then responded before the other girl even had a chance to say why "I told you we can't do that. It's the rules." I *wish* so badly I had said, "Well do you realize it's a health hazard that you keep people in here waiting longer than the time you give them on the phone *during COVID-19* and don't even have the sense to wear a mask at all times when in public?" At one point when more people started coming in, one of the employees put on her mask, only to take it off as soon as she went into the kitchen to check on food. Like I really want you breathing all over my food with NO mask. I would've told them to just cancel my order but I had already wasted my whole break, and had no time to go anywhere else. If there was a rating below 1 star, I would post it! I have given this business 3 chances to renew my faith in their ordering, pick-up and delivery service and each time it has been processed wrong. TERRIBLE customer service and absolutely no remorse when the order is processed wrong. Today I emailed an order at 11:18 am then followed up with at approximately 11:25 to ensure the order was received and pay over the phone. It is now 1:05pm and we still have not received the delivery after 2 follow-up calls. The first call we were told the food was out for delivery and it has been busy this was 12:25pm. I called again at 12:55pm and after a 5 minute conversation, we found out the food was still there and given the option to get a refund or come pick it up...BUT don't expect it to be delivered until between 1:30-2:00pm. The last two times we ordered, we did not get the correct food!!. This place is sad and has terrible customer service and management. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

Obviously bad reviews are a joke to them because they post them on the wall in their place of business. I guess this idiot is not aware of the new Waitr app!! You now have competition, and bad karma ALWAYS comes back to you. So, I called and placed an order in the morning for myself and coworkers. I called back when the food was late and was told it was on the way. After waiting an hour I called back and was told that they could not tell me when it would arrive. I then spoke to the manager, Angela and asked what they would do since they couldn't give me a time frame. She said, "next time come and get it yourself" I was in shock and asked if that was how they talk to their customers. She said you have a choice, you can either come get it or we can cancel your order. Then she HUNG UP ON ME!!! I was in total shock, so I called back and she answered. I asked if she was the one I just talked to and she said "probably" in a very sarcastic way. She said I don't have enough time to argue with you, to which I responded, "you're the only one that is arguing here". She then said, I have cancelled your order already. REALLY?!! After almost two hours the driver shows up with the food anyway, and I took it from him and told him I would not give it back until they proved that my card was refunded back. He was actually extremely nice, but they even gave HIM the run around when he called. Never again will they get my business or anyone that works here. I visited the Room Service location on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland. The food was delicious! Yesterday I chose the Lawyer's Club with potato salad. Today, I returned and ordered the turkey bacon with pasta salad. Both meals were only $10 each including a drink. Great, high quality food at a reasonable price. I agree that Room Service has fresh salads and the quiche from Room Service North is wonderful; however, our lunches were not only wrong on several occasions, but more than an hour late with no attempt by RM to advise. On one occasion I ordered for out-of-town guests attending a business meeting and the lunch was delivered 45 minutes late and after my guests had to leave for the airport. I tried several more times, hoping they would deliver when they promised they would deliver, but Room Service continues to disappoint. read more

Though I do not usually order salads, I absolutely love Room Service salads. They are large, and you can eat two meals from one order. Very fresh ingredients and a lot of options to choose from. My favorite salad is the Washington. I can even eat this without any salad dressing. The price is very fair for the amount of food, and the wait time is usually minimal. I would have given them 4 stars, but the staff is always rude. I've been to the old location and both of the new ones multiple times and they have yet to be kind. Disappointing for the hospitality state. I wouldn't suggest going if you have had a bad day. You more than likely won't get a smile from the servers. Be sure to hang up your phone and put it away or they won't acknowledge you (even if you aren't actively using it). If you don't mind being served by the "soup nazi", I recommend trying out either location. read more

Room Service was one of my favorite salad spots, that was until an encounter I experienced on yesterday. I called and placed my order as usual and 20 minutes later went in to pick it up. Paid and was on my way out of the door, that was until my friend reminded me to check my order. If you leave with the incorrect order, then you are just stuck with it. So, I checked the order, and thank goodness I did, because it was completely wrong and I was missing my side (even though the box had include side written on the top). I proceeded to take my order back and explained that there were things on my salad that I had instructed to take off and items were missing that I paid additional fees for. The guy at the front counter was rude, sarcastically joking, and flat out ugly. He mocked my order and made a big scene for no apparent reason at all. It was sickening because he didn't say an apology for getting my food order wrong or leaving off part of my order. Instead, he insisted on making comments like this e.g."Could you give us a less complicated order to make" "They could have tried to make this order 10 or 12 times and still gotten it wrong" and many other unnecessary comments out loud in front of all of the customers. I am writing this review because I WAS a faithful customer to this business who ordered the same salad each time and it was disturbing to be treated this way because of their mistakes. It also made me think that the guy thought his employees were not capable of reading the ticket that instructed them on how to make my salad order. If customized orders are not allowed, then this should be noted on the menu, and instead of taking my "complicated order" and charging me for it, they could have said they were not capable of handling an order that is customized. I will never do business here anymore, and I suggest that others beware because if your order is incorrect, you may receive the same treatment. However, I do appreciate the one employee saying that she was genuinely sorry this happened and issued me a refund. If I could give 0 stars to Room Service, I would because of the lack of customer service. An excellent suggestion: for the manager to stay in the background and allow his workers to do their jobs.
