We bought the Belia 6-Pc Dual Power Reclining Sectional from Rooms To Go in January/February 2025, and honestly, it's been falling apart since day one. For something that cost $3,500, I expected it to last more than a year -- or at least not start breaking down within months. By July, the zipper on one of the cushions broke and the fluff started coming out. I called Rooms To Go and they did send a tech quickly, which I appreciated -- but since then, everything has gone downhill. The springs in another section are giving out, the charging port stopped working, and the recliner doesn't move smoothly anymore. It's now November, and I still don't have the parts they promised. Every time I follow up, I'm told "the orders were combined" or that someone needs to be emailed. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with a broken couch that was supposed to be high quality. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with a big purchase. I really wanted to love this sectional, but between the poor craftsmanship and the slow, unorganized service, I can't recommend Rooms To Go or the Belia set to anyone. read more

- I ordered 2 Triple Power Reclining Sofas on 04/10/25 in San Antonio, TX. I also purchased 2 extended warranties that we were, very specifically told by the salesman, Michael Perez, would cover ANYTHING that could happen to these sofas for 3 yrs. This gave us the satisfaction and confidence to pay thousands for these "SHAQ" sofas. At the completion of the transaction, we were given a folded brochure that he said contained the phone numbers to call if we had any issues. He went so far as to say he would personally take care of any issue. Since we live in Rockport, Texas, both sofas were delivered on 04/22/25 out of the Corpus Christi, Texas, location. - On 04/04/26, I was looking for something that had fallen between the seat cushions and placed a small flashlight, bulb down on the arm for maybe 5 seconds not realizing that I had left it on. When I picked it up, it had burnt a 1/4" hole in the armrest. - I immediately retrieved the brochure & submitted an online claim at the website shown in the brochure. On Monday, 04/06/26, I received an email from Fortegra, the warranty company, stating that since the damage was not caused by a cigarette, cigar or pipe, the claim was being denied. The hole looks just like a cigarette burn. Would they rather I lie about the cause? Unlike Fortegra, I have a moral conscience to do what is right. I was told that since the couch was still under the 1 yr store warranty, I should call the store. - At the store, I spoke with Valentine. He told me that Michael was out until 04/08/26 but that he would advance my claim and get back with me the next day. Today, 04/07/26, I received a call from Jasmin at the Customer Care Corporate Management Team telling me that Rooms-To-Go warranty does not cover burns and that there is no way they will override the warranty company's decision. When I asked for the next level person, she said there isn't a higher level and that anyone I call will tell me the same thing. - This is about morality not $. From ROOM-TO-GO: 04/08/26 We are in receipt of this claim. Rooms To Go offers a 1-year warranty against manufacturers' defects as stated in the terms of sale located on the purchase receipt. An extended service plan powered by Fortegra was also purchased for the items on their order. Please note the guidelines of what is/is not covered is clearly outlined on the paperwork provided at the point of sale and on the website referenced on the purchase invoice. Consumers sign at point of sale they have read and agreed to all terms pertaining to their purchase. Unfortunately, the damage being reported is considered consequential and not accidental, which is why Fortegra denied their claim. Fortegra will only review applicable damages as listed on the terms of their contract reported within 30 days of occurrence. Since the caused damage falls outside the scope of either warranty/ extended service contract, we would be unable to offer any options. Ok- in the whole excitement of looking for a new couch, the sales guys can really take advantage of the unknowing buyer. He seemed nice, and thoughtful, and was very accommodating. After choosing the sectional couch, the extra charges on warranty come in. Us having kiddos, and wanting to protect our new investment, we were interested. Sales guy says tubing, fabric wear and construction are covered with the extra warranty. Even stains. Now, as in any family, we don't live a perfectly accident free life, especially with kids, two boys, but we try. Even putting down rules about eating and drinking on the couch, which I can admit, they were pretty good about. So we noticed the tubing coming apart in one of the back cushions, and one part of the sectional springs sunk in a lot more than the other side. Also, a fray in the middle of one of the cushions. Also, a horrible creak on one of the sides. Mind you, no stains. So we make the call, about a year later. Service guy comes in and starts his inspection. His face expressions already telling us like we are S O L. Basically everything that was wrong with the couch unfortunately isn't covered, he said. He even said the couches they get weren't really of a great quality. Even the old "they don't make them like they used to" line. This guy was about 25 years old. We say, sales guy said fabric, tubing and structure, was covered. Yeah they are not. We couldn't find the paper work, so Rooms to Go got lucky, and probably rely on customers like us. Inspection guy says the only thing that is covered is that if the couch basically falls apart if you sit in it. Crazy. Anyway, we will never buy from them again and I am writing this to warn others about what we went through. Good luck and beware. Buyer beware - I recently purchased a sofa sectional and planned on doing so in cash. I had priced the couch, looked at other options, and landed on RTG. Upon checking out, there were nearly $500 worth of surcharges for unnecessary (for me) add ons. I was not given the option for the warranty - it was tacked on. I was not given the option to opt in or out of their home delivery, set up, and trash disposal - it was tacked on. There was another ridiculous charge that I cannot remember that was also tacked on. I was met with machismo attitude and comments from our sales man when I politely requested to opt out of all the add ons. I bought a chair from Rooms to go in April. it costs about $600. it was to be delivered by UPS. I tracked my delivery. It showed up as delivered. I never received my chair. I opened a claim right away over a month ago and I still have not heard back. When I try to call to follow up, I'm told there is no one to talk to and that I have to wait to hear back from them. I bought a sofa and love seat, with power for both the legs and back. While we were waiting on the delivery we went back and bought a power recliner. This amounted to $5000 total. Delivery was on time and the two "gents" made fast work of setting up. It was little too fast. I sat in the love seat and all worked well. As I was testing the sofa the delivery man took a picture and was leaving. I asked him if I needed to sign anything. He said that the picture was enough and was gone. So I sat down in the sofa and worked the controls. The back support did not work on the sofa, left side looking at it. Since I paid big bucks for the warranty I called and talked to customer support and they scheduled me for two weeks later, originally said three weeks and when I bitched gave me a better date. That is an old customer support trick. But still brand new and you have to wait two weeks to get it fixed. 3 stars due to factory defect. UPDATE: I had a second delivery of a recliner. The guys (different guys) set up the chair and I made them work the controls. Worked perfect. Told them about the sofa problem. They asked to see the sofa. The one man opened the back of the sofa and found that a wire wasn't connected. Connected it, called someone at RTG and reported the situation. Good karma to the Smith father and son team. My wife and I went in knowing exactly what we wanted. Peggy helped us out our order together and even found a way to put half the order through financing and the other half through layaway (since we knew the couches were on backorder and not due in for 60 days). We left the store feeling very excited for our new furniture. Peggy was great. Our first piece was to be delivered 30 days after we ordered it. I took the day off from work the delivery day (lost $$$). The day came and went and I (nor my loud barking dog) never heard the door bell 10 minutes into my delivery window (8a-12). I was later told he knocked and waited in his truck for 10 minutes before leaving. Apparently doesn't know what a door bell is. No big deal or so I thought. Trying to reschedule delivery, I was told the couch would now not be available until March, 5 months from now! We thought surely we would cancel and try another furniture store. Not so fast! Since it has been more than 48 hours since we "purchased" out of stock furniture, we would only get 80% of our money back. This is extortion. We will never go back to Room To Go. Buyer beware. Delivery dates continue to be pushed back since we first inquired about the set. If your item is not in stock, you are better off going somewhere else or choosing something that is in stock so you can get a full refund within 48 hours. The salesperson at the store was great and everyone inside was super friendly but the company as a whole is terrible and I would NOT recommend ordering from them. Delivery takes weeks and if things go wrong they'll spin you around for months. On our first delivery window, they just skipped us entirely and said we weren't home even though we were. On the second attempt, the dresser we ordered was visibly broken and defective. I don't even know how they let it get on the truck. Moreover, the builders stripped the bolts on the bed during assembly and were unable to finish the build. They basically had to cut it apart and destroy it in order to get it out of the room. Then they offered to replace it in about 2-3 weeks. I canceled the entire order and when I went to get my money back, they said they would have to send me a check in, you guessed it, two to three weeks. Never again. read more

Good luck w delivery! If your furniture is damaged, good luck getting a replacement in a decent time frame. I received my furniture and it arrived damaged. I set up a new delivery date and they brought the wrong replacement piece after they were 2 hours late for delivery. When calling customer service, they said there was nothing they could do other than set up another 4 hour window for delivery. This will be their 3rd attempt at getting me my furniture. I asked for a discount since this will be the 3rd time I have to take off from work for delivery and they offered nothing. After continuous arguing w them, they finally agreed to waive the delivery fee. It's been at least 2 weeks, and I still have not received the credit or the furniture. Well I purchased an entire all leather sectional and tables for my mother last year. One of the rails under one recliner was bent so They brought a new recliner. We both had a lot going on during this time as I was getting ready for spine surgery then my mom was hospitalized. So when I got mom back home about 2 wks later...after they delivered it I noticed that the chair arm is leaning a little outward, not standing up correctly. I had spine surgery Then End Of October 2022 and was unable to call them..when I finally did they said it is not covered because I had 30 days to contact them Once I Noticed It. Life happens and mom being hospitalized and me having spine surgery, needing months to recover and to learn to walk again. None of that was taken into consideration...extended Warranty said that It would not be covered and will stay as it is. I paid way too much money for them to bring another chair in with another issue and it not to be covered because Life changing experiences occurred that prevented me from being able to call them. Jr wanted a new bedroom so off to the store we go. She'd seen something on line she'd liked at this place so we stopped in. We were greeted at the door by a friendly sales lady. She hands us a sales paper, asks if there's anything she can help us with, and explains she'll check on us. There doesn't appear to be a floor model of Jr's choice, but she has her heart set. As we look around, I also see a kitchen table I might be interested in, floor model on sale. I mosey up to the sales lady and explain I'm ready to buy. She's eager to assist. One bedroom set and your kitchen table here--no problem. Here's your additional delivery fee and by the way, we can't deliver the floor model. Well damn, I'm not thrilled about the delivery fee already. But what do you mean you can't deliver the floor model? Oh, and I can only pick up furniture Mon & Tue. What if those days aren't convenient for me? Whatever, I acquiesce. But I'm not pleased about it. I come with a uhaul and a man friend to fetch the kitchen table, mission accomplished. The table is quite fetching and perfect in the space. A few days later while I'm out, Jr receives delivery of the bedroom furniture. She's so excited, she doesn't pay attention to the details. Ten minutes after their departure I arrive...to find wrapping material in the street and in my yard. I'm heated. Once inside, I discover they've left debris in the house as well. They've also installed the headboard upside down, and the sticker on the mirror has left a sticky residue which is akin to cement. I call customer service, the in-store person is understanding and helpful; she'll send the crew right back. The 1-800 chick who calls right after, not so much. Rather than receive my feedback, she's hellbent on relaying the company's policies. It was like having a convo with a politician who couldn't get off the talking points. The fellas do show and right the ship, but dang it! Not the way I intended to spend my Friday afternoon. Well, I paid cash for some furniture and they were supposed to give me half off the lamps. I noticed the bill when they emailed me a copy charged me full price for the lamps. I specifically asked the sales lady if the discount was applied and she said yes. Not true. I went back the next day to get the $147.00 they owed me. They did not apologize but only said it would take 28 days to receive my money because they didn't carry cash. I told her there is no way they do not have cash and she admitted that it was just their policy not to give back in cash even though I paid cash. Wow! Also, they would not take back a table that did not work out in my dining room. I called and asked if it could be returned. I called the store the same day it was delivered. They said they would charge a 20% restocking fee , which I agreed to, and a truck pick up fee. I would have been given back a few hundred dollars. I have been shopping there since they opened the place and have bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture. Corporate said they could possibly return my money but it was up to the store level. The manager in charge, Felipe Rodriguez, refused to return the 80% in cash to me. In the end it would mean that I would probably get only 60% of what I paid with the restocking fee and the pick up fee. Not a big deal to me. Apparently, a few hundred dollars is worth more to them than the amount of years and money I have spent there and would have spent there in the future. Not smart business practices. The sofa I wanted had a 3 month wait. My other 2 choices were up to a five month wait. Everything was blamed on COVID. I told the sales associate that I called the corporate office, but after a 20 minute wait, gave up. You guessed it..COVID! In view of the COVID situation, I suggested that they change the name or sell what is in the store and when that is depleted, refill and sell that.
