Terrible experience, this was my girlfriends first visit to an Indian clothing store which she was looking forward to. She is not Indian and wanted an outfit. Overall, I felt disappointed. They need to understand not all of us will have just an idea what we are looking for just by stepping into the store . She does not how Indian dresses are suppose to be like and they were very rude about it. They also spoke in their language amongst themselves and judging by their body language they were speaking ill of her. She was very upset about the whole thing. Absolutely horrible service. We went in looking for a nikkah outfit for my sister. Staff was extremely rude and condescending. They were very pushy towards an outfit and kept saying that they close at 8. It was still only 7:15 at this time. We finally decided to just get the outfit they showed us but wanted to look at some jewelry to go with it. A bunch of the workers were standing around the jewelry counter and didnt really give us our space. The lady who was helping us seemed annoyed at having to pull anything when we didnt like her choice. At the end, the attitude was just not worth it. As customers, we shouldn't have to feel as if we are being a nuisance to the sales people. It was just a bad and uncomfortable experience. Unbelievably, after finally deciding to not go forward and purchase the outfit, we were told that we need to get out they need to close. I have never ever experienced such rudeness from any retailer. I would absolutely never reccomend them to anyone. read more

DO NOT GO THERE! The people who work there have the worst attitudes! I traveled down there to look for outfits and jewelry for my wedding. They are not interested in showing you anything unless you buy it. If you happen to actually try something on and you don't buy it, get ready for the cold shoulder. At that point no one there will help you with anything. I don't know why they have such attitude problems. I had a lady straight up tell another lady worker that she would tell her about me (I guess it's bc she was pissed I didn't buy the outfit?) later. Came here to do my wedding shopping all the way from Dallas today and am very very disappointed. I requested to look at a bridal outfit and the owner said I could not look at it because on the mannequin. Next I chose 3 different sarees and requested the owner to hold one for me as I wanted to look around and come back to it. Every saree I tried the owner would immediately say "pack the saree pack the saree" if I dint like it. He was just extremely pushy and the worst customer service ever. I have been a customer since 20yrs ago when they were a tiny little store .and not every one is gonna like everyone.diff personality s different characters. So we have to just be polite and do business then leave. Yes some things may be out dated .but adlease indian stores are available to us cause after all usa is not a India (nation.back in 1993 this indian store were really out of date .compare to india. Yes of course if you cheaper better quality great customer service. With millions of selection. Roop Sari Palace ranks as one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I called to set up an appointment to check out wedding outfits and was immediately asked by the staff member on the phone if I was going to purchase something. I kindly told her that I would LIKE to buy an outfit (or outfits) but first I needed to view their selection and determine if it suits my liking. She then told me that they were busy and I should not waste their time if I wasn't intending on guaranteeing them a purchase. Basically this was insulting as it was unwelcoming. Somehow I'm inclined to believe that it was the owner's wife or some other higher ranking staff member with whom I was speaking. I have never felt so insulted by a staff member and they have definitely lost my business and the potential business of ALL my friends and family. I will be spreading the word further since any sensible company knows and understands the value of good customer service. Roop Sari Palace....FAIL!!! read more
