I went in asking for a low fade and a trim on top. The fade was not well blended and the top was barely trimmed. As soon as I got in my car I realized that a section of hair in the back had not been trimmed. I went back and asked for it to be fixed, but the barber was not able to blend it correctly. Not even worth a star. I used to love this place, they had talent like no other but now all the workers don't even care about the customers. I waited TWO HOURS just to walk out without getting a haircut. They keep assuring me that I would be next after a few minutes but they were more interested in firing in their friends. I stepped out to get something to drink because I was there for two hours and I was thirsty and when I came back they said I lost my place. Dudes can cut hair, for sure, but very unprofessional. The barber would stop cutting my hair, then talk to his coworkers for about 2-3 minutes. Or he'd focus more on whatever was on tv, then come back to my haircut within 1-2 minutes. That happened 3 times throughout my haircut. These guys are the real deal. This is the way that I've always pictured a barber shop to be--classy dudes doing great cuts. While in town on vacation, I found these guys nearby and booked a hot shave for my boyfriend. When we arrived (a little late) they took him right back and got him started. They offered my BF a cold drink, which was nice after walking from our hotel. And then they offered me one too! Beer on tap? Awesome. They chatted with my boyfriend and also with me out in the waiting area while I sipped on a cold Blue Moon. My BF walked out of their shop feeling like a hundred bucks. He kept feeling his face all day and said his skin felt so good. He said he'd never had that kinda of experience and really wished we lived nearby so he could make that a regular thing for himself. The dudes working there were really nice, worked quick, my hair came out looking awesome and they offered me a drink within only minutes of my arrival. Positive: AWESOME barbers. They take their time and listen to what you want. Very laid back and old school atmosphere. Great music and sports on all the TVs. Negative: TIME CONSUMING & UNPROFESSIONAL. I have been in about 5 times as a walk-in. The wait time is ridiculous. Many of the barbers' friends come in and will get a cut before unknown walk-ins. The barbers talk to each other a great deal while cutting which only prolongs the experience. There is no system to keep track of who comes in first unless you call ahead to schedule an appointment. The times I have gone it has taken nearly an hour and a half to get me out of the door and on my way. Overall: An excellent shop to go if you have two hours to spare for a simple cut. read more

Saw this place while driving down Roosevelt in downtown Phoenix and thought I'd drop in to check it out. I was not expecting anything close to the quality of cut/shave and atmosphere that I experienced. This place is perfect. A small 3 station shop, with skilled guys churning out killer cuts. It's a minimalist setup and clean all around. They've got drinks to make the wait more pleasant, TVs in the lobby and at the stations, and a playlist that, at least on the day I went in, beats the hell out of any barbershop I've been in. The guys know their stuff. I went in for a pretty serious trim and beard/stache clean up and it was fairly quick and I'm not so sure I've ever looked better. The conversation is great, the barbers are charismatic and friendly. I'm quite happy these dudes have joined my neighborhood. I can honestly say this is my new "go to" shop! read more

It's hard to find someone that can take all your requests and in the first cut make them all happen. We usually go to the baby haircut places where they sit in a little car, etc. The ladies are always very sweet, but can't quite do the old school men's haircuts like a real barbershop can. JR. Every man needs a barbershop where they feel like it's an extension of their home. As soon as I entered the shop, the barber came up to me and my wife and greeted us. He literally walked over to us and shook our hands. The owner then offered me a bottle water and soda. Immediately I felt welcomed. I asked for a taperfade with a hard combover. He wasn't shy like most these rookie barbers. He made small talk and we were able to shoot the breeze on the NBA Finals. My haircut was superb. Seriously one of the best cuts I've had. Following, I decided to get a facial. The owner gave me a wet towel massage that cleared out my pours and made me feel relaxed. On vacation and wanted a nice clean cut. I walked into the barber shop and was immediately greeted. They asked me multiple times if I was thirsty and wanted something to drink. I opted for the blue moon they serve on tap but they also have water and soda if that's what you like. I got my haircut from Junior and he was great. I told him what I was looking for and he blew my expectations out of the water. His knowledge and skill is beyond a cut and run type of barber. Best barber shop in the Valley. If you take the time (30sec) to make an appointment online and show up about 5-10min early you'll be seated quickly. Good barbers are busy barbers so if you're walking in you might have a small wait to get in depending on the day. I always get cut by Fernando who always takes a lot of time and provides a good attention to detail. I'm never disappointed with the end result. I have nothing bad against the store at all, I havent had an issues up until today. I came in and waited for about 40 mins nobody asked me anything or noticed me. After waiting I got spoken to by a cool dude that sits in the main waiting room and he apologized about the wait and everything. Then I sat in the chair, told the dude that was all the way at the end of the room down the hall exactly what I wanted. As he was cutting my hair he started to cut the back of my hair, which I expressed I did not want. As I got out of the chair, I realized I got a crooked bowl cut. My sides were shaved far up to the top of my head, which I also didn't ask for. Overall, this was probably the worst haircut i've gotten and this cut was important for a trip im taking, but now im too embarrassed to show my haircut. Im sorry if this came off harsh but i'm really embarrassed about this cut and it really sucks. I came in for a clean up on my mullet, it was just over grown and I needed a clean up but instead I paid 40$ and waited 40 mins for a haircut I did not like at all. I just don't think I personally will be going back or not going back to that specific barber. read more
