Best barbershop in Phoenix. Dudes are cool and super friendly. Very convenient specially if you have an appointment. Miguel cuts my hair and always knows what I want as soon I sit down. I've watched all the other barbers cut hair and they all are great. I would let any of them cut my hair if Miguel is not available but Miguel is my favorite barber. They even hook your eyebrows up if you need them trimmed. Highly recommend this place. DONT BELIEVE BAD REVIEWS! And I have no personal interest with this barber shop. Was looking for a good barber shop to go to and found this one on yelp. They had a lot of great reviews and now they have another. Chris did a really great job with cutting my hair the way I wanted. The only bad thing about it was he is a patriots fan (just kidding), Chris has a positive attitude so it was easy to make conversation which can be hard to do at some barbershop. If your not Latino don't come this place , Iv been coming to this establishment for 8 months and none of these guys can remember my name but I remember all of there names including the owner frank. They are ok with customer service but once again I noticed race factor (you get special treatment of you are of Latin back ground) , so my final visit I sat there for an hour and this guy who was late for his so called appointment went in front of me without even giving me an reason for why I was bumped , I myself am a buisness owner and have referred my family and friends to go there but after today's visit I'm just giving up on the place , I hope the owner frank gets to read this beacuse if I was treated this way I wonder how many other customers he will lose ,,, good luck to you guys but I no longer will be referring anybody to your babershop read more

Worse service ever, if you are not their friend you won't get service until they feel and are ready. Management suck, there's no sense of ownership with the barbers. They say they will take care of you but if their friends walk in, they will take care of their friends first. I made an appointment online and some how they didn't get it. Maybe cuz the barber a made the appointment was a no show or called out. They don't have a plan b set up for barbers not calling in or not showing up. read more

I definitely recommend an appointment even if you arrive at the shop opening. I don't mind waiting but these cats didn't even acknowledge me and there was only one other patron in the waiting area. It stinks because I was looking forward to supporting a locally owned small business as well as what the cut would look like. I've searched high and low for a shop that caters to me. I research barbers prices and reviews to find something i like after searching and trying different shops since being in Phoenix for three years this one is the best. I love being able to schedule an appointment with my barber and letting him know what I need if it's a cut, beard trim, or just a clean up I've had consistent complements after leaving this place.... While I was recovering from a recent hack job from another downtown hair establishment, I happened to go check out the newly opened Roosevelt Barbershop. I must admit that I was a bit hesitant since my last haircut left me traumatized and also due to the fact that I haven't let an actual "barber" touch my hair since my last flatop circa 1996, but I had heard very good things about Junior's barber skills. I was very impressed with the haircut that I received and complimentary beer wasn't too bad either! If you're downtown and in need of a cut, check them out. It also doesn't hurt that the shop is in walking distance from the Roosevelt/Central light rail stop. Junior knows his stuff! read more

Unlike other reviews, did not have a great experience at this barber shop. Walked in to get a high fade, short trim ontop, and to get edged up. The fade turned out way to high and very uneven. The edge up was disappointing as well. I would not recommend this barber shop to anyone. read more

Just moved to town last week. If you travel like me, you know the trials and disappointments you go through looking for a good Barber. Stopped at this app on the north side of Downtown today, and I've already found my new Barber. Junior is the man. Started at a 3 on the bottom and faded up to the top, trimmed the top a bit to match. Razor shave on the neck, sharp lines all around. Shop has a classy, urban feel in a great location on the corner of 7th and Roosevelt. These guys are gentlemen and nice to talk to as well. Highly recommend. They will grow fast along with downtown and the arts district. read more

I've been looking for a barbershop to call home for two years now. I've had great luck at a few. Carlyn's in Tempe has been my go to for most of that time. If you've been there, you know how amazing she is BUT she doesn't use a blade to clean up at the end. Still five stars all the way. A co-worker referred me to Roosevelt and I'm glad he did. Finally have the perfect cut!! I'll be back. One tip, make an appointment. I got there at 3:00 today (Saturday) and was told it would be about 35 minutes. I waited over an hour but it was worth it. Now I know to expect a wait unless I make that appointment (which you can do online). read more

Walked in for a quick Hot Towel Shave and wasn't disappointed! Not much of a wait, but all Barbers had their chairs full. Watched ESPN while I waited on a flat screen. Was called back for my shave and got great results! ESPN on a flat screen in the back too! The shave was great, not rushed and relaxing! Have you ever been robbed at your local barber shop? Someone stole my sunglasses from my mail bag which was unzipped. The crazy part was that there was no customers that could've done it since my bag was in the corner between the chair I was sitting on and another barber. I even questioned myself and went to look inside my car twice though I was sure that I had placed my sunglasses inside my bag when I got inside the shop. Looking back, I realize that it happened while I was getting a shave with my eyes closed. In the end when I spoke to the guy that was the supposed owner he said that maybe it fell somewhere between the shop and my car (my car was parked right outside the shop) and that it was offensive of me to ask. Ruined my day and nothing I could do about it but at least other potential customers deserve to know. read more

Horrible first experience. Won't be going back. Called Friday and made an appointment for Saturday at 9 A.M. Checked in at 8:50 was told my barber was finishing up and to have a seat. As I waited for what ended up being 30min. I watched people pull up and walk back countless times. After awhile the same guy who checked me in AGAIN asked if I had an appointment and looked confused as to why I was still sitting waiting. I asked him if the barber I had an appointment with just took ANOTHER person before me? And I was told yes. I was told it would be another 10-15 min MAYBE. At that point I got up and just left. The handling of the entire situation was completely unprofessional. Not once did anyone apologize for the wait or showed empathy. Sure this shop has stellar reviews, which made us choose them. But they will not remain where they are if they continue treating new customers in such a way. read more
