Straight to the point, the best wings I've ever had in my life. As a native Daytonian, I grew up on Roosters. Now living out of state for more than 10 years, I have yet to ever find a place that has wings better than here. Going on vacations, and getting wings, no one is even close. I mean, look at the size of these things?!?! For years they have definitely given great bang for your buck when buying wings. Most places have the more smaller wings and charge the same if not more. My number one of all time flavor is the barbecue. Has such a great mix of sweet and tangy flavor to it that I have to get it every time I come back home. My next two choices as far as favorite sauces would be garlic and then medium. I always have to have a side of curly fries as well. If you like blue cheese, make sure you get a side of theirs. Let me start off by saying I usually love Roosters. Went in on Tuesday of this week and it was gross. Ordered loaded nachos but got nachos with cheese only. Then received cold tater tots, a watery clump of tomatoes and wilted lettuce for a salad. Chocked as much as I could down without a stop by to see if I needed a refill. Mind you, it was fairly slow. Simply put, our favorite wings in Huber! Always on point and always walk away satisfied. Wings served plain & well done with the sauce on the side is the way to go. Spicy garlic is my go to sauce, but sure there are others just as good that easily soak into the wings. Too many potato sides to mention, but the skins are always delicious! 6-9p parking can be hectic on a busy night, so grab one while you can. Drinks are reasonably priced and have TVs galore. After reading the reviews we decided to stop by and check it out. Especially after seeing people seated out in the outdoor eating section, and seeing that the patio was dog friendly. We were greeted by a rude worker at the register that the out door dining area was closed. Even though clearly there were several parties out there and not a private event either. We were also told that they don't allow dogs out in that area anyway. I have a service dog. They workers including the manager was snide and rude. We are now heading to hopefully a more friendly one down the road. read more

First time at a Roosters. Sat outside to avoid a 30 minute wait. Ordered Buffalo chicken pizza. It was delicious. I asked for ranch dressing when waitress came to check on us. At least 15 minutes later, I had finished eating as she came out with ranch dressing. I said, "I'm done now, but thanks." She said, " Sorry, I had a thousand things to do." Then she picked up our hotel key to show to manager to give us a 10% discount. She dropped off the key and the ticket. We were charged .79 cents for the ranch. Excellent fried tenders in gold rush. Pretty good fried tenders in garlic. My husband liked his fried tenders in Nashville hot. Excellent cheesy bacon tots. They did bring us chili tots first and we sent them back because we ordered cheesy bacon. Minus a star for serving food with no silverware, plates, or napkins. Me and my friend visited Roosters last weekend. The food was good, but the waitress was horrible. I'm almost sure the only reason she continuously ignored our table was because we only ordered a couple appetizers and no alcohol so she probably assumed her tip wouldn't be great. She continued visiting all the tables around us multiple times before stopping at our table once we were done eating. While the service was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was clean and well kept, the food was just not good. It appears that their breaded chicken sandwich as well as the boneless wings are both very dry. I also got the garbage tots and most of them were well done and hard to eat. I was on the hunt for wings in Dayton, Ohio, which seems to have more bars than restaurants. However, I found a fun, casual joint known as Roosters that is safe for all ages. My family went on a Thursday night and this place was so busy. About every table was full. There are TV's everywhere too. We ordered the appetizer known as Feathers. They are basically fried onion petals. They were tasty but nothing too exciting. But the wings though were humongous! Did they find these wings from ostriches? I ordered Carolina Gold which is a mustard BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce had the perfect zing to it to complement the wing. However, they did charge me for making my wings extra wet but they came through so it was all good! The menu also said that Roosters doesn't allow 2 flavors chosen unless 20 wings are ordered. However the waitress seemed to not follow that rule. Surprisingly, they served fresh brewed sweet tea and it was really good! Oof, went here on a work group trip and this place is really not for me. While I am vegan, the menu has pretty much no options that I would be interested in even if I ate meat. The wings and other food my coworkers orders looked pretty bad and my salad and tater tots were less than average. The vibe inside was college bar, even thought this is not on a campus. Tony and I love Roosters. This was another chain that we fell in love with when we are in the Louisville KY area. But the Roosters out of state that we have found are not up to the same par of cst service, quality of staff and product and great fun atmosphere like in Louisville area. I hate that I am not giving my normal 4 or 5 stars for this Rooster location but I weighted this out carefully. I gave them 1 one star for my waitress who was extremely overwhelmed this satureday service, I gave them 1 star because the food though not the best that I have had with my normal Roosters expectations it was still good, just not great!! I have to admit the third star is just because we love ROOSTERs but just not this location and sadly we will not return. The wait was ridiculous!! It seems like they were letting their regular or friends go ahead of us. People would come in behind us and they would get seated before us. There is no reservations at Roosters!! They were not sitting inside or outside waiting ahead of us, we actually had to wait over 35 minutes. If my hubby wasn't dying for some Rooster Wings we would have went to the BWW located just 50 yrds away across the intersection. I ordered the 10 Traditional wings with Teriyaki sauce, celery w/ranch and a small Miller lite. Had to request a remake on the wings because they were undercooked. Management did apply a 25% comp to the meal for the inconvenience. She brought the fresh order of wings to the table and checked back a few minutes later asking if the reorder was to okay. I wanted to like Roosters, but I just couldn't. We stopped in for lunch while we were in town for a baseball tournament. Right off the bat, I noticed it didn't seem very clean. Employees were cleaning table tops with windex and a dirty-looking cloth. The back area of the restaurant had the tables blocked off and there was what looked like a makeshift cooling or drying unit set up. There were three of us. One ordered boneless wings, one bone-in wings, and one the "dumpster fries." The honey barbecue sauce on the boneless wings was decent. The medium sauce on the bone-in wings wasn't very good. The bone-in wings were huge! You could probably make a meal of four or five of them. The "dumpster fries" were pretty much cold. Our server wasn't particularly attentive and we had to flag her down to order and then to get our check. All in all, a disappointing visit and lackluster meal. read more

Roosters is a great pub. Can't call it a great sports pub because all the TVs are placed in odd locations where you are cramping your neck trying to see the game. I usually come to eat n go elsewhere to watch sports. Gotta take a star for that. 30 TVs and I can't get a good view of any Itty bitty bar to be a sports bar. I have yet to get 2 seats at the bar. Folks love this place for the wings. I'm not a big fan of the wings but I do like their chicken dishes. Their cajun chicken sandwich and the buffalo chicken pizza are the bomb. For real. There's not a lot of healthy options here so wouldn't recommend if you are dieting. Theres always some type of drink or food special happening. Nothing on the menu is over $10. Tator tots and wedges are delicious. Get the added cheese on them. Service can be slow but this spot is always busy. The table wait is never over 15 minutes. I would have liked to have given this location 5 star; however, after speaking with management regarding our experience last night, 3 stars is sufficient for the location, waitress and food. We spent money on two meals and three alcoholic beverages. The waitress never mentioned there were specials going on to where we could have participated in the Monday night special and or had a cost savings for eating there on a Monday night. The waitress was great and very apologetic. She felt we already knew (even though we never ate there on a Monday). When I spoke with the manager she said "they dont require their girls to give the specials because you can use the the QR code on the tables and access them that way".
