I was able to call up and arrange a haircut within 30 minutes, really unprecedented. I wasn't sure what I'd receive under such short notice. The owner accommodated me into her schedule and may I say, she did a wonderful job! easily one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. And for only $30!? I'm shocked. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Most times the barber just see hair and they go willy nilly -- not her, she cut just the right amount. I'm very happy with the results!

Instead, he combs along and against the grain to gauge the natural fall, cuts using a freehand sculpting technique, and thoroughly cross-checks. The Result: This method optimizes the cut for your specific head shape rather than just following a cookie-cutter pattern. It creates natural texture within the cut itself, saving time on point-cutting or texturizing later. Shana seems very well experienced, but when I told her how I would like my hair done she seemed frustrated (it was her first time working on my hair, I was not trying to offend her in any way, I just know my hair and how it works). I told her that my hair gets very frizzy and curls form after a day if I only blow dry, so I usually have to put a flat iron to my hair in order for it to stay put. Most of my appointment was quiet, she barely talked to me and she seemed very annoyed. When I told her about how my hair curls and gets frizzy, she snapped at me and said "i know how to do hair, i've been doing it for X amount of years". I stayed silent for the rest of my visit, paid, and left. The next day my curls returned (as I expected) and I felt like I paid that money for nothing. I would of loved the experience if she had listened to me, I was not trying to tell her how to do her job, but I knew it was her first time working on my hair and thought she would appreciate me letting her know how my hair works. The salon is beautiful and offers many services, but the attitudes there need to be a little better. Kai did a full Balayage + full color correction and 4.5 hours later, my hair had a total make over! I couldn't believe it! Kai definitely under promised and over delivered on his abilities. He told me his honest feedback on what he can do and can't do. He was very realistic on what to expect because I had originally dyed my own hair with box color from CVS (don't ever do that BTW) Because he was honest, I already went into the appointment having a good idea on how long it would take and what color to expect.
