She used to work nearby, so she's been here before while this is my first time. Because I had my pup with us, we took turns going into the farm and the store to look around. Harley Farms have working Anatolian shepherds guarding their goats, so it's against their rules to bring your dog into the farm/store as they are seen as predators. They can stay outside while leashed which is what we did with my pup. While there, we were able to pet some baby goats, took photos of the goats, the little horse, birds and the farm. We both brought like $100+ worth of goat cheese, pepperoni, nuts, etc. There's an area where you can sample wine but we didn't partake. A bit expensive and touristy, but we still enjoyed. Located on North St, around the bend from Pescardero Creek Rd.

I submit that he did not? Pro tip: Do not have them around if you feel an oncoming snack attack. You'll possibly consume the entire cup o' vegan legumes which brings me to an interesting factoid: did you know that a peanut is neither a pea nor a nut? It is indeed a legume. The peanut is more like one of those hideous lentils then delicious pea or a delicious nut. Why!? This seems so unnecessary. I wouldn't be surprised to find That President Jimmy Carter President Obama somehow Secretly teamed up to rename and re-categorize what is clearly a nut into a legume. This is much the way the President Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of Mara Lago or whatever it was. A little personal story about R&R: it was the case that when I moved away from the central coast I found myself trying to replicate these tastey legumes By cooking peanuts in the oven at my new home which is 6300 feet above sea level. Many calculations must be made to adjust For cooking at that altitude versus at sea I think I have come close To replicating them but still no dice. I cannot get quite the coverage of salty goodness to adhere to the Redskins the way they have. This is my main struggle in life right now I have been trying to replicate this spicy peanut extravaganza and not really getting very close. Still worth it to just buy it here.

I wanted to stop off at the popular Pie Ranch before heading more south. We arrived at the pie farm stand on a Sunday afternoon recently. Pie Ranch is located in a nice road side area along the coast on Hwy 1 close to Davenport. Parking is limited in the small dirt parking lot out front. The pie farm stand looks like a rustic wooden barn from the outside and a state park visitor center in the inside. There was an outdoor small library for kids by the entrance which I thought was a nice touch. It's a free take one leave one book stand. There was a farmer's market vibe inside with local vegetables, fruit, baked goods, and locally produced pantry items for sale. Pie Ranch branded gifts and merchandise were on display as well. We ordered 2 strawberry streusel cutie pies, 1 lemon buttermilk blueberry cutie pie, 1 chocolate chip cookie, 1 frozen strawberry streusel whole pie, and 1 lemon better milk blueberry whole pie. All of the cutie pies were delicious. The cutie pie size was about right since we were sharing everything. The chocolate chip cookie was moist and gooey with loads of chocolate. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Pie Ranch. The staff were nice and helpful. There was a back patio with a few picnic tables that looked inviting. We enjoyed our food out there. The environment was family friendly. The price point was more in the high end but I understand due to location and everything was fresh, locally produced. I was happy to finally visit but I'm not sure when I will be back again.

Aside from the tour of the property they also had u-pick apples, a pumpkin patch, a small farm stand set up, and the option to buy lunch. We opted in for the lunch because everything (aside from chicken) was made with ingredients from the farm! It was cool to see exactly where all of the produce that we got to enjoy came from. It was all so fresh and flavorful. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for them at local farmers markets!

I absolutely loved the slow drive in. I was greeted by a super friendly golden retriever when I stepped out of my car. And otherwise didn't come into contact with anyone else which makes sense since it's on an honor system. I was looking for wreaths that I saw on their Instagram and found beautiful succulent filled pumpkins and other treats instead. I am looking forward to adding this stop to my Pescadero day trip itinerary which includes Fish tacos at the gas station, artichoke bread from the deli, and Harley Farms goat cheese.

No wonder there is always a long line of people trying to get their bouquets there and by the end of the farmers' market time (around 8 pm) you don't find anything left.
