I had already purchased some of the bamboo plants I needed for a privacy hedge but realized I may need some design help with my plans. So, I originally consulted Megan, owner at Root Wise, with a request to help me make my small backyard and pool area feel private, beautiful and peaceful. She "got me" right away and quickly developed some plans, and choices being conscious of my budget. I have never hired a landscape architect before so wasn't sure what to expect. She has been a pleasure to deal with, right from our first meeting. Originally I only planned on a consult and design, to help solidify my plan, but when my installer cancelled, I hired Megan to install my plants along with the plants in her design plan, which she purchased, delivered and installed with her team. She uses a real time landscaping pro computer program (like Joanna Gaines from fixer upper) so we could see exactly what everything was going to look like as we decided on plants and landscaping.
