Just a personal preference (and I understand why) but both employees wore rubber gloves as they did all the treatments for the scalp/hair and the shoulder/arm massage (they did put on new gloves as they switched services). The feeling was still nice but almost an icky rubber feeling as the massage went on and the gloves got warm/gained friction. When the massage was on my scalp, again, it felt good, but the rubber on my hair felt as if it would've tangled it more and not as enjoyable if it were normal hands. Paid $215 for my sister, which included (K18 Molecular Repair Treatment, Moisturizing Hand Treatment, Blow Dry -Long hair (40 min))with Serenity Byrne. (My sister declined her extra add-ons since she had a severe sunburn on her face) Arrived at our appointment and sat outside on the chairs in front of the studio for our start time. I did not realize they would put us in the same room, but thankfully, it ended up not being an issue. Small studio room with 2 tables in a cramped space. We were instructed to undress waist up and use the towels provided. We were to brush our hair and use this small amount of sugar scrub for our hands. As much as this was enjoyable, because who doesn't like their hair brushed and washed, but this would be a one-time thing. The add-ons were nice, but they should definitely be included in the service and not be an extra add-on. The hand treatment was a latex glove with lotion inside it. The gold eye mask was the one you do at home, same with the lip mask. The cold stone face massage actually felt really good, but whatever tool she used continued to be dropped into the wash basin under my head, and created loud bangs and noises. My sister loved it, however, and felt it was a great experience and thinks she would go back, but as someone who already gets facials and massages, I could not justify adding this to my healthcare routine. The ladies who worked on us were amazing, and we can not take anything from them. Alexia was very sweet and had a great personality. You could tell Serenity was newer, but my sister said she did an amazing job. I was not too pleased that their tablet was not working, and they had to send me the bill on my phone. "It's going to ask you a question, and needless to say, my fault, but of course, a 20% tip was over $90, and I really wish I had looked further, but it is what it is now. The same day I booked, I received a call asking to move the appointment later in the day. I declined because we already had dinner reservations. That should have been the end of it. Fast forward to April 9th (the day before the appointment), I received a missed call and voicemail asking to change the time to 3:15 PM. I didn't respond, yet minutes later I received an email saying my appointment had been changed anyway and now reassigned to a completely different therapist (Killian). No confirmation from me, no approval. Just changed. We still showed up, trying to make the best of it. I surprised my wife right before walking in, telling her I had planned this special 90-minute massage for her birthday. Inside, we were greeted and asked to wait until 3:15. Then things got worse. Another customer walked in claiming a 3:15 appointment over the phone shortly ago , and the staff accommodated him with our original therapist (Rosario) who came upstairs and took that client instead. A few minutes later, a male therapist came out to get my wife completely ignoring the fact that we specifically booked a female therapist. At that point, the surprise and the experience was completely ruined. When we brought this up to the front desk, the only "solutions" offered were: Come back later that same day no cost (which we couldn't due to prior birthday plans), or Come back the next day for half off (again, unrealistic since we had already planned our time) Neither option addressed the core issue: they changed our appointment without consent, gave our reserved time to someone else, and ignored our request for a female therapist. It honestly felt like they were more focused on filling slots and maximizing revenue than honoring appointments or taking care of their clients. I planned this experience months in advance to make my wife's birthday special, and instead it turned into a frustrating and embarrassing situation. I will never return, and I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable or professional experience.
