Iris was incredible. My first visit with her was two months ago. I was going to an Aveda salon in Minnesota and when I sat down in her chair, she knew exactly what my prior stylist used for my hair color and matched the color and my hair style exactly the way my stylist did in Minnesota. Iris has always been professional and wonderful to spend time chatting with. I'm not sure if the person who was posting such a bad review was having a bad day or what. I question why anyone would bring hair color from another salon to use. If Iris did make a change, I would only assume it was to make it look better. I've been having my hair done at this salon for a few years. The salon is nicely decorated, clean and offers many products and services. I was sad when Nicole left as she was fabulous! The past two visits I've been hit with a negative experience. Few months ago- I went for a couple low lights and majority highlights. My hair ended up darker than when I came in! I've always received blonde highlights. It was doable. I did leave a review of that fact and I did call the salon to share that I felt I was being scalped. The employee was so rough. Yesterday, the same employee was extremely gentle! However, my color wasn't what I've had for the years. But it's doable. The cost has always been $80 Plus tip. But when I got up to the desk I was told the cost was $106. And of course I asked why. Their explanation? Well we added an extra bowl of color for toner just to blend everything. I have a pixie haircut. Number one they should have told me that they were going to add on the extra cost of $26! You don't go in there expecting $80 like you've been paying for years and instead of them trying to explain it to you they print out the services that I've had in the past and apparently the last time I was in there I was charged the $26 I probably didn't realize it because my scalp was on fire. And apparently Nicole had also charged me the $26. I obviously paid it, I just think it's a good idea to let the client know that it's not going to be $80 it's going to be an extra $26 on that or just say hey our price is increased now it's $96. That way you don't have debit card shock when you're up to pay. I'm not sure I'll be going back. read more

I've been trying to get back to my natural salt and pepper gray but I was sick of spending hours at the salon without really getting the results I wanted. I decided to try Imagine Salon with a haircut first. Iris did a great cut and also suggested a way to grow out to the gray that would be less obvious. I have been a patron to this salon for many years. After Wendy left, the new owners and management have moved in and taken this place downhill fast. They raised the prices and changed the set up in a way that makes little sense. They have gotten rid of stylists who are AMAZING and the attitude of the management is extemely poor. The little things that Wendy did that made this salon a place of "service excellence " are all gone. I am truly disappointed. read more

I chose Imagine Salon due to its Aveda brand/concept, I requested an appointment on line. A quick response found its way to my inbox! The salon respondent was prompt and accommodated my service and time needs. The salon itself was hard to find. My map directed me in a round about route. I arrived late with an apology. I honor their time. I was greeted by Karissa who did a nice consultation and she was ready to create. The atmosphere is quite relaxing and chic. WARNING: After being a client for many years I do not appreciate how I was mistreated last time I was in the salon. I feel this could have been handled in a professional manner and knew me voicing my concern about my hair was going to cause issues. I did ask for this to be confidential And made this request to the receptionist when I called and that didn't happen. Instead the stylist that initially did my hair was brought into the conversation along with the owner. When I went into the salon for the correction she was very agressive in some of the things she said to me and very unprofessional. I paid a lot of money to have my hair done so i would think they would want me happy to keep my continued business. I felt I had a good relationship with this stylist but the last couple times her work wasn't what I requested. Uneven haircut, color was brassy and not even close to the color I showed her. I was disrespected and argued with and then ignored for wanting my hair fixed and it put me in a very very uncomfortable situation. Who wants to do business with someone that would treat you this way. After this experience and the unprofessionalism and awful feeling it made me have when it was already not a good situation I would not recommend this salon. The manager did try to step in and attempt to make it right but the color was still uneven and my haircut one side was longer than the other it could not be fixed completely. And still was not the color I requested. I would research greatly on your stylist if u choose to come to this salon it seems like they do not undergo continuous training for trending styles or color techniques to be able to provide what is wanted. If u want a all over color they would have no problem doing this but u may get a uneven haircut or an attitude if u don't like it. read more

Reviews were overall pretty good and I decided to book an appointment. I was booked with Nicole for a highlight and she was very friendly, had really excellent product knowledge and held a good conversation. The salon was very clean and the decor was beautiful. Trinity was great! She gave me a cut that was exactly what I was looking for. I love that this salon is smaller than most - it gives off a more welcoming feel. I actually like that it's a little darker inside of the salon, too. I dropped it down one star because the regular price for a cut/style is $40. Prices are comparable to or better than other salons in the area. Highly Recommend this sweet salon. After years of bad hair journeys I have finally found my forever place. Iris is my stylist and she is wonderful to work with. She listens to me, answers my questions and explains processes . She has expert skills, is straight forward, knowledgeable, patient and kind. I feel like I finally have a personal stylist and she always allows ample time for my hair care. The salon is clean and inviting and has a calming vibe. Staff are helpful and courteous. As a reference, my hair is shoulder length, thick with natural curl/wave, typically dry. I've viewed other recent reviews and would like to say that with any place of business both parties should discuss the cost of services and agree upon them - prior to your session and always, always be patient and kind toward the front desk staff. I came in hoping to get a better haircut for a layered bob. I have thick hair and it needed to have some weight taken out. I showed her numerous pictures and explained how I just scrunch my hair with product and don't want to have to use styling tools. Karissa proceeded to round out my hair like a helmet and then thinned it out so badly she put a shelf layer on one side with a chunk of hair gone above my ear. I came in with hair that had too much weight to now being stuck with way too thin, bad layers AND she wrecked the color with thinning shears. The first time I tried this place, my hair cut and color were done very nicely. I also had a pedicure that was well done. However the pedicure chair is extremely uncomfortable on the lower back. Also, the tub for soaking feet is merely a tub ( not a whirlpool style). The second time I had my hair color and cut done by the same stylist that did the first. I have my hair dyed medium blonde and like a little red toner added during the rinse. This time she put red toner directly on top of my dry hair while waiting for the dye to set in. My hair turned a bright obnoxious red color. For a couple of hours she tried to fix it. The best she could do was a bright strawberry blond. I'm a professional and had to go out of town for meetings that week and was utterly embarrassed by the looks I received. The color continues to be a problem as my hair will not take a darker color and fades back within days. I won't be going back. read more

Came to town for my brother's wedding and desperately needed a place for hair and makeup since im a bridesmaid. Saw the reviews and decided to try it out....So happy I did! This place was so charming and clean when you walked in and everyone was so kind and welcoming. Nicole did my hair and it turned out just like I wanted. She did an amazing job on my sister's hair also. Dominique did our make up and I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she made it look so much better. I fell in love with it and the make up was nice and light didn't feel cakey, the lipgloss was so nice and non sticky I couldn't leave with out getting it. Great time, Great experience. My daughters and I just recently moved to Arizona so, were not very familiary with the local Salon's... My oldest had her hair done at another Salong and they completely TRASHED her hair. It looked like someone took scissots and just chopped three straight lines across the back of her hair. She is blonde and has very fine hair so the cuts were even more obvious. I found Imagine Salon and Day Spa - called and explained the situation and they took her in immediately. Not only was the salon lovely with great aromatherapy, but Heather was able to salvage the majority of my daughter's hair and thinks she will have it completely back to normal after the next cut or two. To top everything off, they were so apologetic for the other salon's poor cut, they gave us a 15% discount - I tried not to take it, but they insisted so, instead, we made up the difference and then some in Heather's tip! I have been going to this salon for about a year and Chantel at first did a great job but then I'm not quite sure what happened! I went there a few weeks ago and explained what I wanted. During the cut I hears an oops and did not think much at the time except maybe she nearly cut herself but then when she was done, I found it odd that she did not show me the back of my hair and I didn't think to ask. Even the style after she dried my hair was off. Normally I can leave there and go shopping and run errands but this trip I wouldn't dare go anywhere but home. Well, the next day when I when to style it, my husband actually pointed it out and that there was square chunk taken from the back of my head. No matter what I did I couldn't hide it. That was Sunday, they were closed on Monday so I called in the morning on Tuesday to complain and that I wanted it fixed. It took several hours for them to call me back and the Manager Wendy finally called and had the nerve to ask that I wait another day like it was an inconvenience for her. I said no, either you fix my hair today or I want a refund. She took me in after I got of work and attempted to fix it and had to take it shorter which did not make me happy because I was trying to grow it. She even noticed the notch cut out of my hair. How could Chantel even let me leave like that. If she was at least honest and told me right then that she slipped and made a mistake and tried to fix it right then, I wouldn't have been so mad but to know that she made the mistake and let me leave??? Unacceptable. After Wendy the Manager was done, It looked somewhat okay but after that the area was still noticeable so I cancelled my next appointment that I had set up for the following month and decided to dispute the charge. They refused to refund my card. What type of customer service is this? I will definitely not be going back and will file a complaint direct with Aveda. read more

Even took the time to blow out me LONG hair! The salon is small but set up very nicely. $40 for a haircut is a bit more than what I am used too, but the experience and close location was worth it. I got introduce to this salon through a deal that I had purchase from livingsocial. The salon is tucked away in the corner behind a pizzeria so it's pretty hard to find if you've never been there. The good thing is they have a monument sign from the street, otherwise I would have missed it completely. When I walked in the salon smelled like really pretty aromatherapy oils. The decor is very nice and clean. The staffs are wonderful and pleasant. my massage therapist was Tracy and she was very nice with a good touch. I was suppose to get a swedish massage but since I'm pregnant she laid me on my side and did light massages instead. I did notice in their website that prenatal massage are more expensive but the salon didn't charge me extra which I appreciate. Its best to get massages on a weekday because the massage room is cover by a fabric instead going all the way up the wall so I can be pretty noisy if they are busy. My haircut with Claudia was pretty good. I asked her to only cut off an inch and that's exactly how much she cut off. I hate when stylist cut off way more than asked, so I like her a lot! She used Aveda products on me and it smelled great as well as leaving my really damaged hair baby soft. read more

I went to Imagine Salon and Day Spa out of desperation. I was getting married and had wanted to get highlights in my hair I went to a different salon and they turned my my highlights orange. As I know the lady personally I didn't want to go back to her ( I felt uncomfortable going back to her. I know that is dumb). So anyways I was leaving the next day for my wedding so I needed to get in ASAP and this salon was the only one I was able to get into in the time I needed. And it was a blessing my stylist name was Chantel and she was great she explained everything that she was going to do to fix my hair. The salon it self was very nice, calming and clean and the front desk lady was nice. And I got my brows waxed. In all I spent $198 for the color correction, waxing, tip and a hair conditioner. Instead of going to my normal Aveda salon in Glendale I decided to try this salon because it is much closer. I was the stylists last appointment of the day. She was less than friendly. When I made my appointment I asked for someone who could do long, curly hair. The stylist didn't ask me what type of hair I had (I had it straightened), she didn't ask how I normally style it, etc. I told her what I wanted (trim with a few layers and side bangs). She washed it and cut it. Then blow dried it. I paid $70 for a cut and style. I left with a frizzy puff that was definitely not styled. Instead of layers I got TWO layers. Half of my hair is about six inches shorter than the rest. And I had no side bangs at all. It's been about two months and I'm still trying to grow out what my usual stylist had to chop off to fix this mess. The stylist at Imagine never even asked if I liked it. She finished, took the cape off and walked me to the front. I guess she just wanted to go home. Super disappointed. read more
