I had a keratin treatment and glaze at Rooted Salon & Apothecary tonight and I am stunned at how amazing my experience was! I feel like a completely new person. I have already gotten compliments on how smooth and shiny my hair looks. Not only am I thrilled with the result, but the experience in the salon itself was so positive and such a delight. Brigette, the owner and head stylist at Rooted, is knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She and I talked at length about color options for my hair and she was so understanding while also offering really good advice/photo options that would work with my hair. That made it easier to visualize and she made me feel confident that the end result would be exactly what I wanted. When I was done and about to leave the salon, a walk-in came by with questions about product. Even though the salon was closing, Brigette spent at least twenty minutes speaking with the woman, offering advice and recommendations, and never pressuring her to book. She truly loves her craft and it shows. I have to mention the interior at Rooted. It is like a dream salon. There are multiple hand made wood furniture pieces, such as the work station counter top and shelving to hold products, that contrast beautifully with the greenery and vintage-esque furniture. I love the vibrant wall art near the shampoo station. They also have a lot of nice snacks available for clients, such as pretzels, bars and even a basket of apples. Thank you, Rooted! Coming to Rooted feels like you have escaped to a 5 star resort on a faraway island. The salon is so welcoming with warm décor that screams relaxation. I'm always welcomed with a smile and offered many types of snacks and beverages to start my visit off right. I trust all the stylists there to recommend the best color and cut to match my style. I needed a new salon that was close to my work so I could make evening appointments and I found Rooted because they are close to my office but also because they are fellow Merrimac Valley Chamber members. The salon is beautiful- small but upscale and trendy - a boutique experience. That being said Brigette was so professional and down to earth - no pretensions (no judging about my at home coloring). She took time to really talk to me to find out what I was looking for and offered me a lot of solutions including suggestions on how to style at home. Amazing massage wash! Absolutely love this salon! Bridget, the owner, is so sweet, friendly, and creative. The salon is such a cozy, cute, and pretty environment and I love all of the products that they use. I have been getting my hair cut by Dorothea for the past year and she does such a great job. She always listens to what I'm thinking and then giver her own professional thoughts and suggestions to help me out. I have been loving my haircut every time I walk out. Dorothea and Keira also recently did the hair for my wedding and everyone's hair was amazing! All of the girls looked so beautiful with all different styles. Dorothea and Keira worked so quickly and professionally and were done way ahead of schedule, which helped me to stay stress free and I was just able to enjoy the day relaxing and getting ready. Tasha works with the salon to do makeup and she did everyone's makeup for the wedding. Everyone looked like a natural, enhanced version of themselves.
