The salon is bright and cute and well stocked with Living Proof (my fav!) products as well as Kevin Murphy that I love being able to conveniently pick up for my husband while I'm there. Speaking of convenience, it's so helpful to be able to pay and tip via Venmo. Jay is an absolute master who can really do it all. Her coloring skills are second to none - she has made me a perfectly toned (SO HARD to find someone who can tone perfectly!!!) bleach blonde as well as brunette. When I asked her to get me back to my natural color she got it perfectly blended in one seemingly effortless shot. Amazing cuts too. I'm able to give her barely any instruction and she knows just what to do with my face shape and hair texture. Also able to give me manageable bangs as well as able to help me grow them out when the time came. And to top it all off I always leave the salon with a blowout that makes me feel like a celeb ready to take on the world. Kathryn is so talented at her craft, and I've never trusted a stylist more. I let her do what she feels will look best on me and she's never let me down. However, I have now had to file a 93A claim, as the owner is in the business of fraud. I booked a partial foil and the cost of the process is $110.00 on the salon's website. Even a full foil is quoted as $145.00. I left the salon being told I was charged $140.00, and tipped appropriately, only to come home and view a $283.00 charge to my card. I immediately phoned the owner, Hayley, who told me that she had put in a volume and tint process, plus dried the hair, all a la carte, and the charge was $283.00. I had never requested any extra tints or a full foil, let alone a volumizer, as my hair is crazy thick. I was informed by Hayley that SHE decides what products to put in a client's hair and does not need to discuss with them?? I gave her a chance to refund for the undisclosed products and she refused - Nice customer retention strategy. Avoid this scammer. The charge is now disputed with my bank, and a consumer complaint filed with the AGs office.
