My experience with Daniel Meredith Plumbing was frustrating from start to finish. What started as a…read moresimple toilet repair turned into a nightmare of delays, excuses, and high costs. They were hired to replace just two basic parts in my toilet tank (a flapper and another component). This straightforward job stretched from December 3rd to December 17th - over two weeks! There were constant setbacks: one day their truck was in for service, another day a family emergency, and on one visit they showed up with the wrong flapper and had to run to Home Depot. When they finally completed it, they arrived without their serviced truck. They charged $300 for this minor repair, which seemed excessively high given the errors and time wasted. They also quoted $2,650 to replace a kitchen drain pipe - an outrageously inflated price in my opinion. To top it off, they were scheduled for additional work last Friday but no-called, no-showed with no communication whatsoever. The real kicker: They advertise as "fully licensed," but their California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license #1054546 expired on May 31, 2025. As of now (late 2025), it appears inactive/expired, meaning they shouldn't legally be performing contracted plumbing work over $500.Overall, the unreliability, poor communication, sky-high pricing, and questionable licensing status make this company one to avoid. I regret hiring them and won't be returning. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. I went with Zeb's plumbing(Licensed) instead and they repaired my electric tankless water heater just by cleaning it and installed a king water softener system for me! Had a handyman convert the drain pipe to run outside like the dishwasher for 600$

I spoke with Edwardo and tried my best to explain the issues, and he was very patient and agreed to send his tech, Elias, to inspect the system and address the issues we are having. Elias was terrific and understood what we needed but unfortunately, there would be no quick fixes for the issues we are experiencing. Edwardo called shortly after and explained what they could do, and the cost for each, so until I can get an OK from the main office to any of the possible resolutions, my review will be, "thank you Edwardo and Elias for the prompt and thorough inspection, I look forward to your estimates and any possible resolutions."

I was unaware that the original owners had sold the company. Our home was red-tagged due to the improper installation of a newly installed HVAC system. Our carbon monoxide detectors activated multiple times, and initially we replaced them, believing they were simply due for replacement. It was later discovered that the system had been vented directly into our attic without the required three-inch vent pipe, allowing carbon monoxide to enter the home and making me physically ill. We have written statements and photographic evidence documenting these issues. Despite this, the company has refused to honor our warranty. They have declared the warranty void and made nine separate service visits without correcting the underlying problem. We offered the company a fair and reasonable opportunity to resolve this matter, but they instead chose to pursue legal action. I strongly encourage others to do their due diligence. I am aware of multiple customers who have experienced similar issues, including aggressive upselling and the installation of used or improper equipment. I do not take writing negative reviews lightly; however, due to the seriousness of these events, this matter will be reported to San Bernardino County Building and Safety and Code Enforcement, and we will be pursuing all available legal remedies
