I've noticed that when I go to get my hair done…read moreit's very common that they will start late, help other people, or will be running their own daily errands or taking care of their children while doing my hair. Very often, they stop to help people who come into the store. This has extended my stay at the salon on multiple occasions. Yet last week I went in on a day that they couldn't book me, just to get some braiding hair. Thinking the shop is going to be open, the door was locked at 11 o'clock in the morning. They ignored me as I knocked, and when I called said they were not gonna unlock the door because they were too busy doing people's hair. Just a few weeks before, I was there and my braider had her son the entire time she was braiding my hair and he's a toddler. She also helped folks in the store and even stepped out to go get her son from daycare, while braiding me hair.

I was looking for a hairstylist that could help and a friend told me that Danielle from Luxurious Hair is a Top Artist/stylist for Nioxin that does great work and to check out her website. So I checked her website out (Website looks good -check) I called her (picked up and super sweet and responsive on phone-check, ) and made an appointment for my mom. When we got to her private salon, we were immediately offered water and snacks (love those chocolate chip cookies, two kinds of chocolate in them?!- check) then Danielle immediately educated my mother on her hair, on the right products to use along with new styling tips so she can do it at home herself (caring, took her time, we were not rushed-double check and she was cute so ok another check). My moms hair looks awesome (too bad she's my mom) and is now going back for a one on one blow dry lesson (I thought women were born knowing how to blow dry?) and again next month for an updo (just learned that word) for my cousins wedding. Danielle has great customer service and she was cute so yeah a check.. Afterwards she now wants to do extensions after seeing Danielle's portfolio of clients and how natural it looks (I saw before and afters, pretty cool- I didn't even know women wear extensions....check for extensions and women who get away with it.. ) Danielle even told my mom that she can talk to some of her clients for their honest feedback. I would highly recommend her. She is experienced, honest, very affordable for the type of work she does (triple checkers) and cares about her work and clients. Cool experience and Mom is so happy and loves her hair so that's more checks than I can give...

I had a 10:45 appointment and was started right away. The assistant who started my hair was very friendly, quick and did her job prepping my hair extremely well. I was comfortable and enjoyed the music they played. Petra, the stylist, went above and beyond with my hair. Not only did she hold conversation with me during the process but even remembered my name. That personal touch definitely added to the experience. I say all that to say, I am very pleased and overjoyed with my new look. The salon, New BBS, almost demolished my hair and even, finding out today, left me with a bald spot. But Petra saw no difficulty in taming the beast and executing such an amazing, grown and sexy style for me. 10/10!
