But the best one happens to be here on Greenpoint Ave, known as E-Z. Men's brows are only $5 here, which for those unfamiliar with the pricing, is a steal. Most threading salons will charge men for a few dollars more, I assume because it's likely we'll have more hair than our estrogen laden counterparts (not always true either). This does not happen at E-Z and the speaking of prices, they're probably the most inexpensive in the entire neighborhood. But do they do a good job? I can't emphasize how amazing they are. The owner is patient, kind woman who makes very good recommendations for all when it comes to grooming. She does an amazing job with ease and sports a healthy number of dedicated clientele, both male and female, especially on the weekends. It may seem seedy from the outside, but the facilities seem to be very adequate. There are willing and able technicians often doing their thing and the place is spacious on a whole. With a clean interior, extremely reasonable prices, and excellent execution, coming here is certainly an "E-Z" choice.

If you're looking for a threading/waxing spot, Dawa is pretty good!

In cosmetology, a single-process service means one all-over color, but the staff explained it was only a root touch-up. The wash and overall service also felt rushed and incomplete. If the salon cannot provide the full service at the Groupon price, it would be better to adjust or remove the offer so customers know exactly what to expect. While the staff were polite, the experience felt more focused on the coupon limitations than on delivering the promised service. I do want to thank the gentleman who kindly gave my sister a hair mask--it was probably the only part that felt truly worth the money. I normally do not leave negative reviews, but I believe it's important to share an honest account so others can make an informed decision.

One thing about her is that she won't have you leaving with less than what you want. She recommended that I use castor oil to grow my eyebrows, and she has even managed to shape them beautifully, making them appear thicker than they are. After the threading, I opt for the henna dye, a safer alternative to dyes. I've been complimented plenty since I started getting my eyebrows done at ST. Some say it looks like lamination, and I'm like, yeah, no, it's just threading and henna! They also do facials. I did one once, and it was great. My skin felt supple and fresh afterward. Don't even get me started on the prices. Super affordable! There's no reason to be out here looking crazy.

Highlights and Brazilian Blowout…read more Overpriced and damaged my hair. I paid $150 for highlights and $90 for single process to my base. I came back the next day and I paid $150 for keratin. The owner put a glaze in my hair, which made my hair very dark. When I mentioned my hair was too dark he said it looked beautiful when in fact, it was horrible. In addition, the processes caused extreme damage to my hair. The owner was very rude about the whole situation and told me there's nothing more he can do to fix my hair. And then he didn't respond for more than a week. My nephew's wedding was the following week and I was pressed to find someone to fix my hair. I used a salon in Long Island, where they condition my hair and fixed the color. I use the salon regularly as they do an excellent job and the prices are very reasonable. They do more with less rather than doing extra processes at extra cost. The salon charges $70 for single process, $60 for 1/2 head highlights and $70 for brazilian blowout (lower price, because of extremely fine hair).
