My husband and I love this place. We have been coming here since it opened. The food is good and the service has really improved. I especially enjoy their Bison egg rolls and their Open Faced Turkey Sandwich. Delish! Went back tonight, we got there kind of late considering that they close at 9PM. You really can't beat outdoor seating on a beautiful June evening in Parker. Service was awesome and I really enjoyed the ambiance on the patio. I ordered the prime rib special, son got a burger and the boss ordered the meat loaf. Everything was good but I've never seen prime come under gravy before, that was a bit weird, no au jus or horseradish, I ate it and it was good but just not what I was expecting. I've had prime rib here before, and it was awesome, and thought I knew what I was getting - the gravy was a not so welcome surprise. read more

Rory's diner from my experience has been awesome. The employees up front are very positive and make sure you have what you need. Their food is really good, I have had Monte Cristo's, Fish and Chips, pancakes, waffles and some of their soups. Just an update to my previous review. With the new addition to a larger space and almost 2 years being open. The food quality is still great. My company has started using this place for catering our company meetings and we had a great catered Christmas party. Breakfast here is on point. It's not often I find a place that knows how to properly cook "over-hard" eggs but this place has got it down! So delicious! We've been here twice. Had the french dip, strawberry chicken salad, and club sandwich. Also tried hot open faced turkey sandwich and fish n chips (various people in the family, not just myself). Very tasty, friendly wait staff, reasonably priced, good quaint location, and great music; we appreciate that - good stuff at a nice low volume! One recommendation - when you do your addition, please leave the televisions in one place and don't add any more for families who prefer conversation over loud and/or distracting music/tvs, thank you. It's OK if you're in a pinch and happen to be downtown. They would not let us bring in our own coffee and theirs tasted like burnt plastic. The potatoes seemed to be from a bag out of the freezer. Prices are good, but service and quality are just OK. read more

I really wanted to love this cute , local place in Parker just off Mainstreet. We went with a group of people for brunch on a weekday. We couldn't get a table until everyone had arrived. Once seated the tables they put together were too small for all of us despite plenty of open tables. Service was friendly and decent but on the slow side. Brunch was good with lots of delicious choices. The breakfast relleno was good. At the end when we all got our separate checks, the waitress then informed us she needed to add gratuity to our bills. She hand wrote the gratuity amount on all of our receipts for us. We were kind of shocked at that. Overall, decent but leaves a little to be desired too. read more

I am so happy to have a great diner on this side of town! Delicious food.... I got the savory cakes and hubby got the huevos rancheros. Both had their green chili and had an amazing flavor. What a great local spot for breakfast! Currently, this restaurant seats only about 10 tables, but they are expanding into a larger space next door. They are nestled in a cute neighborhood near Main street. My best friend and I went there the day after Thanksgiving. We were welcomed warmly....seated in about 15 min. We shared the chili cheese fries (yum) and wanted pie for dessert. Sadly, the pies were all gone due to the holiday so we ordered waffles, which filled the sweet spot. We also had champagne, coffee and juice. I just love the comforting feeling here. Even though they have limited tables, we sat, chatted, ate and never felt rushed. We have tried to patron locally owned establishments as much as possible. After a nice walk around the Art In The Park, we were all hungry. I remembered Rory's being mentioned on a local Facebook site and convinced everyone to give it a try. Very happy we did. With 4 of us we had Lemon Blueberry French toast, corned beef hash, breakfast burrito with chorizo and chicken fried steak. We all enjoyed our meal and the pie!!!! Mint chocolate (she wanted to buy a whole one but there was only one piece left :). Strawberry mango. The fun one of the bunch had apple. I had the egg sandwich ($5) and added bacon for $1.49. The sourdough bread was toasted perfect. Hard fried egg, cheese and mayo. It came with a small piece of lettuce and a small tomato slice as a garnish. The sandwich was good. My friend had the breakfast quesadilla. She said it was good. Ordered an orange juice but the waitress forgot to bring it. She remembered it too late. They listed pies on the board as whole or by the slice. We wanted a whole pie but they didn't have a whole pie for any of our top three choices. Maybe they can cross off the whole pie price if they don't have that pie. Menu listed homemade muffins but they didn't have any muffins. All the tables were full. The waitress worked hard to manage all the tables. The place is small inside. Ordered 30 bucks worth of food that wouldn't pass 7/11 standards. Home Fries that looked like someone scraped burnt potatoes from the skillet into a styrofoam container instead of the trash. And a smothered burrito that was smothered in brown lettuce core pieces with nothing but bland tasting ground beef inside. I don't know what other folks get that earn this place a higher rating but I'm definitely not giving this place a second chance. I guess because folks aren't able to sit in and eat their orders, the place can just serve whatever half ass slop they throw together and let the customers deal with it when they get home. read more

My family and I came here for breakfast on Sunday July 29th. I am a small business owner, so I prefer to patronize other small business as well. Plus, we live in Parker so was looking for a nice breakfast place close to home, and their patio was a big plus. Love sitting outside. We were so disappointed in our entire experience. Here are the events of the day: 1. Arrived with 4 of the 5 people and were told that they do not sit incomplete parties, even though the place was basically empty. Explained that 5th person is habitually late and we were going to order without her. Refused to seat us at a table for 5 unless 5 people were there. Annoying but if this were the only issue, I would have overlooked it. 2. Waited 35 minutes for my habitually late sister (obviously not the restaurants fault) and then went inside to let the host know that we had all finally arrived and would like to sit on the patio. Was informed that wasn't possible with a party of 5. When I pointed out that the patio was empty except for one other party, he said that they refuse to move tables to accommodate larger parties. OOOOK, so we had to sit inside 3. Looking on the menu, they nickel and dime you to death. $1.00 to exchange an English muffin for toast. $1.00 to exchange a pancake for toast. An extra $2 charge if you want to split something. So we order. 4. Person 1 ordered a patty melt on sourdough bread, and a beer. Food arrives, its on RYE bread (which she hates) and she asked them to please fix. She comes back out with the same burger now on toasted sourdough. The purpose of the patty melt is to grill everything together, but still edible. However, had to ask twice for the beer, and I ended up walking over to the bar and ordering it for her myself. 5. Person 2 ordered over medium eggs, they arrived over easy, and very runny. She was starving so started eating them anyway. We told waitress that the eggs were undercooked but since she started eating them, didn't offer to remake. 6. Person 3 ordered a plate with no bacon or potatoes, but was charged an extra $1 to exchange her toast. You would think that the cost of the pancake would have been off set by the bacon and potato savings, but ok, its their rule. Cheap, but ok 7. I ordered a breakfast burrito with no Chorizo because I am a vegetarian. I had two bites of my burrito and what do I bite into? CHORIZO! So I call the waitress over and tell her my food is wrong. She rolls her eyes and walks away. Couldn't believe it! So I asked to speak to the manager, who is also the owner. I explained that I too own a small business, and I completely understand that good help is hard to find. I totally understand when things go wrong, but we were having a ton of issues that morning. I explained each issue, she commented that her brother was the cook so it couldn't have been him, so it must have been the waitress. We had a nice conversation, and she had my food remade. 8. Obviously we never saw the waitress again, so I had to get up and ask the bartender for more coffee and creamer. When we received the bill, it was $77.97. for 5 people. I was actually surprised how expensive it was, but then realized that the manager/owner did nothing for us for all the issues. No small discount, no coupon to return and try again, nothing. 9. Even though this was one of the worst dining experiences ever, I understand that a terrible waitress could have been to blame. But was just so surprised that they didn't offer even a small discount, and the manager never came back to check on us, it was like it was no big deal. Very, very disappointing experience. Oh, and on a side note, waitress tried charging me $2 for a split plate charge because we ordered a Belgian waffle to share, on top of everyone's meal. Unbelivable read more

Not impressed, actually annoyed. Besides our table there were only two other tables seated, so not busy. Ordered a mimosa and never got it, even after asking for it when our food came out. I met friends for breakfast at 9am on a Saturday. I was expecting a long wait, but we were seated right away. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The food is all made from scratch, including their pies (took a slice home for my husband who devoured it in minutes). I had the breakfast quesadilla, with was very flavorful and filling. Price: For the food, prices are pretty good ($8 for breakfast burrito). My only complaint is charging $1 for an extra side of ranch dressing, seems a bit much. Decor: Clean 50's style decor and look. A few political signs on the wall would be a turn off to some. Overall: If you are looking for a cheap bite of sandwiches, burgers, or breakfast, this place works out just fine. We were worried that we were going to have a poor visit today. We only waited a second or two to be seated on a Sunday morning. Our orderes were taken promptly and the food came out to order and in a normal amount of time. The breakfast burrito was great. Green chili nice and spicy but not too hot. As for the lettuce complaints..... Mexican food always come with lettuce....mostly shredded iceberg so it was nice to get some greens that had some healthy value. I kept eating off of my husbands breakfast quesadilla it was so good. The potties with the skins just gave it that extra yummy flavor. Coffee was a little strong for me like a Starbucks but I swapped it out for the best Mimosa I have ever had! Great music and I think the "politically incorrect" sign is great. Don't get mad, just leave! We will be back and looking forward to the soda shoppe in the summer! read more

What a total disappointment. This place is cute, clean, nice staff, a super meaningful (and poignant) story about the beginnings of the diners, but... Terrible food! Every part of both of our breakfasts was terrible. Food was cold. Food didn't taste good, even tried switching the weird tasting bacon for sausage.. It tasted bad too, served about 4 squares of potatoes for the home fries.. And the eggs had an odd taste too, my husband said they had a bleach like taste like maybe what the dishrag might be dipped in. And they were prepared poorly, that fried way where there is a fried crust all over the eggs. It's unfortunate I really wanted to like this place they were really nice... And for that reason only.. 2 stars instead of 1. read more
