Not a frequent diner at Rory's but have had enjoyable meals there the few times I've been. This morning however, they served our food to another table. My son noticed and said "Hey that guy over there ordered two meals and they're both the meals we ordered." The guy was on his phone and didn't even look down at the food. A few minutes later, the waitress stopped and noticed it wasn't what he ordered. She brought it back to the kitchen and then within one minute it came out again, this time to be served to us. Having worked in restaurants for many years, this was a major no-no before COVID. Now, it's an even more egregious offense I would think. They lied and said it was freshly remade for us, but it was not hot and the whip creme on the pancakes had completely melted. We were not offered a discount, and I paid and left a normal 20% tip. I understand mistakes happen, but the blatant lie and cover up of that mistake, plus the complete disregard for potential COVID-19 implications, will keep me from returning. read more

Love this place, the pancakes are like none other. Love sitting out on the patio on a nice day, great little "mom and pop" place. Only down side is that the restaurant is very small so if there isn't patio seating or if there is a crowd you may not be able to get a table. I also love their French dip sandwich and their Caesar salad! read more

In all honesty this place has such bad service, I sat at my table without a water refill for a good 20 minuets and I reminded the waitress that I didnt have water 3 times and nothing was done about it. When I ordered my burger I asked for it to be well done and I got it and it was all bloody and it was so gross. There pie also isnt good. read more

Expensive and small portions. Waitress forgot parts of our order however this establishment is nestled in downtown Parker and the inside is decorated with lots to see. You feel like you're sitting back in time, back in the 60s. It's pretty cool. read more

What's not to like about small, great ambiance, attentive service and excellent food. Rory's Diner has what it takes to be competitive. I started with a cinnamon roll--wow, fresh and tasty--and a cup of coffee (a very robust and hot). Next up a breakfast burrito which had all the fixings--eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheese and topped with more cheese, tomato, a little lettuce and then...and this is what made this a memorable breakfast burrito...a generous ladle of green chili that had good heat and great flavor! I'll be returning soon as I want to try the relleno breakfast menu item. Back to the ambiance. In the 60's I had '61 Vette and '66 Shelby GT 350--the decor at Rory's was a trip down memory lane. A very comfortable "Diner" with comfort foot! Job well done. read more

One of my favorite places! Great little 50's Diner in the heart of Parker. The owners are very accommodating and super friendly! I've tried about 7-8 things on their menu and I haven't been disappointed yet. Their breakfasts are good, and their cinnamon rolls wonderful! It's the one restaurant me and my family all agree on. You can bring your leashed, well behaved dog and sit on the patio which we love to do. There's people watching and great big beautiful trees, and squirrels running around. The food here was amazing! The Chile Rellano was very unique and delicious. The Vanilla Streusel Pancakes and the homemade whipped cream both have great vanilla flavor. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy is one of the best gravies in town. The Kids Breakfast Plate had an amazing sausage. All in all this is one of the best breakfast places in the area. read more

Three of us went to Rory's Diner for lunch on Saturday, and it was some of the worst food I've had in a long time. Our server only took our order 30 minutes after we arrived. And that was only done at our prompting of a passing Server. Someone finally emerged from the back to take our order, only to have her return to the back to retrieve her pencil to actually write the order down. Not a big deal, we all forget stuff, seemed a little strange though. She took the order and that was the last we saw of her...she was gone, never to be seen again. After 45 minutes our meals arrived. My friends order was the wrong dish altogether, so they had to send it back. When it did finally arrive, her lamb was raw. After we suggested to one of the servers that they may want to cook the lamb longer in future, she went on to educate us that lamb should always be cooked raw, and if we want it different in the future just to let them know to cook it a little longer. Awesome! Lamb is one of the few meats that should NEVER be served raw! My meal came with arugula, and arugula is a pretty strong herb, so you only need a little finely chopped pieces of arugula to capture the flavor. When my dish arrived it was literally covered in arugula to where you couldn't see the omelette underneath. After I removed the backyard of arugula off my plate, I discovered potatoes, which were cooked beyond the point of recognition. All that was left of them was the outer skin, shriveled, black, and hard...not edible in any way, form, or fashion. My omelette came with goat cheese, and as much as I love goat cheese, I've subsequently determined that it is not a good complement for eggs or a derivative thereof. By the way, if you expect refills on any drink including coffee, think again, it won't happen unless you specifically request it (from another roaming Server). My wife ordered a steak omelette, and the steak was as tough as an old shoe, and of course, her omelette came with the same torched potatoes as my dish. But the pièces de résistance was the framed wall hung picture that came crashing to the ground nearly hitting a patron of the restaurant. It sort of exemplified the attention to detail (or lack thereof) Rory's Diner displayed. To top it all off, we then had to track someone down to receive our credit card and bill. A wild trip indeed, ...and a trip I will not soon be taking again. read more

We tried Rory's for the first time tonight. It absolutely did not disappoint! Rory's has been nicely renovated from the previous restaurant that was there. The outdoor patio is very nice. The menu has a lot of variety. We got Chicken Fried Steak and the jalapeño gravy was "spot on"! Also tried Salmon Caesar salad! The salmon portion was very generous and grilled nicely. The kids opted for "breakfast for dinner". The service was good. Our servers were very friendly! We got a cinnamon roll to-go and are excited to try the pies next time! So nice to have a place like this in Parker. We love patronizing small, local businesses and will definitely be back. read more

I know today is Fathers Day and we expected a busy place. But what happened to us and MANY others was so ridiculous! We were one of countless that had to ask "what is going on???". We had to stop the manager and ask for drinks because our waitress brought 2 and forgot the others!! Not only did it take over an HOUR plus to get food from ordering, but when it finally came it was cold and inedible! Our waitress was nowhere around after we ordered. Our food was delivered (finally) minus one order! We had no silverware, no napkins and no condiments at our table (which we asked for twice prior to our food even coming to the table). A young man finally Brought half the silverware needed. I asked (again) for our one missing meal, napkins, syrup, & butter. Nothing. A third time. Nothing. Mind you our waitress was still not around! I finally had to get up my self and go get them! We finally got everything and none of us even wanted our food that had been served cold! 2 people sent there meals back as they were awful. (We we're not the only ones doing this today! We watched many tables do this. And the table next to us told us to run when we sat down. They got their food as they were getting up to leave. And we're STILL given a bill even though they ate nothing!). Anyway, sent 2 meals back. Halfway ate one and the one pancake for a child we ordered was sent to table as 2 large pancakes- about 1/8 of that was eaten. The new waitress came to our table and we had told her we weren't paying for the bad meals we were sending back. She said she would let the manager know and have them removed. Nope, got our ticket with $10 removed off it! The 2 meals returned totaled $20! And not even half of the other 2 were eaten because everything was so cold. We just paid and left. We were tired of the excuses and poor service. If they can't handle holiday crowds then they shouldn't open! We've been to much bigger place that run much smoother. An hour- hour 1/2 wait after ordering is absolutely ridiculous! And to get cold food after and still be charged! NOPE!!! Maybe we will try again on a day when there aren't more than 5 other tables taken. The other reviews seemed great and we were looking forward to eating here. If you want the experience of bugs in your food then this is the place for you...also after having made this discovery being yelled at by the manager on the phone really just tops it off...they were reluctant to comp our meals saying that's what happens when you eat greens... First time here. It's small but has a great atmosphere. Local beers on tap, awesome food. Had the corned beef hash & eggs, vanilla pancakes and coffee. All were delicious and a very welcomed alternative to the normal chain breakfast joints. Plates were $8-11 and much higher quality than IHOP, village inn... My son had called and made a reservation for Mother's Day. We showed up, stood in line and waited for them to open, and when we got to the front, they did not have our reservation listed. So we were turned away with "you're not on the list, sorry" and that's it. They couldn't even let us wait to be seated since they were booked for Mother's Day. I felt bad since my family had planned a nice surprise breakfast there for a special occasion and it fell through. We double checked my son's phone, and he definitely called them on Thursday and my husband had listened to him make the reservation, so somehow they just missed it. Too bad we didn't get to eat there. It looked like it would have been good. Mix-ups happen, we get it. The 1-star is for the poor customer service in how they handled the situation. read more

New owners have made this place better. It is cleaner and food is decent. Sometimes it takes a new fresh face and owners to fix the issues. We have eaten at Rory's a couple times and it has been pretty good. We had one issue with a meal we picked up and they fixed the issue right away. 1st time coming to this place. Had no problem finding parking which is always a plus for me. I ordered the breakfast burrito. It had great flavor but unfortunately too spicy for my poor taste buds. It was replaced by a truly delectable vanilla struessel pancake and the burrito was removed from my bill. The service was amazing. Our server was Beth she was very personable and fun. Real service real people. I would come back here over and over again. No frills here just good old fashioned diner. read more
