The owners are extremely nice. She was very communicative through Facebook messenger when trying to make a reservation. There was live music which was very nice for the ambiance and the sunset. The bartender was really friendly and knowledgeable. Complimentary jalapeño bread ball was a nice touch. The pozole presentation was really nice and tasted good. The drunken shrimp presentation had a nice touch with the rosemary lit on fire, but felt it was a little lacking in flavor. The steak arrachera was really good with great smoked flavor. I would recommend checking out this little hidden gem when in the area.
So this was my first time coming here. I was invited for a friend's birthday and he is a regular here. What a treat. It's on a nice quiet street with plenty of parking. If not, there's a lot around the corner too. You walk all the way up to the third floor we were lucky enough to get the best seat in the house that sits around 10 or 12 people, and it faces the Caribbean sunset, we arrived and we were greeted by the owner who said that she had decided to keep the band here just for our group to stay late. The music literally pulled us out of our conversations and God is dancing out loud and in our seats at multiple times. It was a lot of fun. You can tell this is a place where people come to celebrate because there were three birthdays all within an hour of our seating, including our, we ordered and got three delicious appetizers the tuna carpaccio, the tuna tartare, and the steak tartare. They were all fabulous and equally delicious party in your mouth separately. The extra appetizer dish with actually gifted by the owners to our guest of honor as the birthday boy. Which was absolutely outstanding. It was done with class. The octopus was grilled perfectly and the sauces they used in that multi dish appetizer was just outstanding We then had all of our dinners and I had the gourd of seafood soup. It was delicious & it was filled with shrimp, calamari, and octopus. It was so much I couldn't finish it. They then came out with this huge piece of chocolate cake and about nine spoons and we shared it saying happy birthday and embarrass the daylights out of our birthday boy king. Overall, we had a fabulous time and I wouldn't hesitate to celebrate another birthday here. The owner was literally involved all night. I believe her name is Wendy with every step and checked in on us multiple times. I really felt like I was eating at her house. Any restaurant that can accomplish that is a shining star amongst the island. Keep shining Rosa Sirena. We love you. You truly give Justice to your name on the island.
We were skeptical about trying this place. We drove by, saw the neighborhood, and debated whether to go or not, but we were hungry and decided to give it a try. We arrived around 9 pm and were lucky that there was one table available for four. We sat down, and the server recommended some drinks and food, so we went with his suggestions. The restaurant was decorated so beautifully, and the live music was perfect. We ended up having our best dining experience in Isla Mujeres. Everything was beyond perfect!
Went with a party of four on a Sunday night. There was ample seating and parking. They had live music and a great seating area. There were tables, benches and bar seating. This restaurant is located at the top of a building which provides wonderful rooftop seating. We were there at night so we didn't get to see the views but from what we could tell, they would be wonderful. We ordered the steak and lobster meal, the drunken shrimp, beef carpaccio, and steak empanadas. Every thing was flavored well and a great temperature. The servers were quick and friendly and the rest of the staff never kept us waiting. Tip: try the drunken shrimp and the filet mignon empanadas.
Ate there last night and it was one of the best meals I've had on the island. I've been coming here for 12 years, at least once a year. And never ventured to Rosa Sirena because we always stay on the north side of the island. We rented a golf cart one day to explore the southside and decided to give this place to try after seeing great things about it on Reddit. It was less about an 8 minute drive. Service was 10\10. Inri was our waiter and so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We even chatted with one of the owners Debbie for a while and she was so sweet. Local musicians were great and added another level to the vibe without being too loud. Hibiscus margarita was their special for the night and it was amazing. My friend and I split the shrimp risotto and the skirt steak which came with mashed potatoes and greens. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. We got their version of the Keylime pie to go, and I am not even embarrassed to admit that I ate at all in bed later that night. Rooftop vibe was very cool and although Reddit suggests reservations, two of us were able to get right in on a Wednesday night, no problem. It's definitely a hidden gem in an unsuspecting neighborhood. Will definitely be back!

Such a wonderful, comfortable place with oh so delicious food! The owner was so welcoming and all the staff were helpful with the menu and provided wonderful service. My husband had the Mole Verde which is the owner's Mom's recipe. He loved the dish and thought the flavors were fantastic. I had the catch of the day with the red chili, peanut sauce. It was not spicy but you could add in your own chili oil to kick it up a notch if you wanted. The fish was prepared perfectly and very tasty.
Absolute best filet mignon on the island, choice of 6oz or 10oz, I had the 10 and it was fabulous!! And the Mexican lime pie is the best I've ever had! Treat yourself to a gorgeous rooftop experience, excellent music, lovely staff and stellar food. Owners Willy and Deborah have created an exceptional dinner experience. 5 's.

Rosa Sirena's is THE dining establishment in Isla Mujeres. You can't find better food, service, and ambiance on the island! Definitely eat on the third floor rooftop palapa. You have to navigate a spiral staircase, but it is worth it! Make sure to call and make a reservation. You get a beautiful sunset and relaxing local music. The staff is fantastic- the owner, Deb, took amazing care of us, as did the manager and servers. We ate here twice on our 5-day vacation because we loved it so much. We recommend the catch of the day with the guajillo peanut sauce and the lobster bites. Do not skip dessert!

One of my favorite places to eat on the island. Rooftop bar makes sure you have a view and a breeze while you eat. Lobster bites are a must have.
Based on the reviews I really wanted it to be better. My husband and I were super disappointed. The drinks were meh, and so was the food. We had the beef carpaccio, lobster bites, and the pork belly mole. The flavor was pretty flat, especially for the prices. The carpaccio was sliced way too thick and needed something. The service is great, and we LOVE that they have live music, so that's why we gave them 3 stars!

Traveling to Isla Mujeres in early February 2026, we wanted to try Rosa Sirena's for dinner based on the many good reviews we had read. A reservation was easy to obtain via email and we were all set for a sunset, evening meal. We were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere pleasant with an acoustic duo playing mellow tunes in the background. Honestly, we were a little disappointed with the view that most reviews rave about. Our sever was knowledgeable and made several suggestions. We selected the Pepita Crusted Tuna for a starter, my companion had the fresh catch which was grouper, blackened with a side of the peanut sauce. I chose the Surf and Turf. For dessert, we shared the Key Lime Pie. Everything was beautifully presented, and quite artistic. The tuna appetizer was very good, but the main courses were frankly a disappointment. The creativity of the plate did not make up for the lackluster food. The steak was tough and poorly seasoned, the lobster was just passable but also chewy and not tender. The fish was not as well cooked as other restaurants downtown and again the seasoning was lackluster. The sides, lentils and mashed potatoes were just ok. The homemade Key Lime Pie was enjoyable but again seemed to lack a depth of flavor. If the food could match the service, presentation, and atmosphere then perhaps this could be one of Isla's better dining establishments, until then "the juice was not worth the squeeze." read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. What an experience. Our best meal in Isla BY FAR... and Ulysses made it 1,000 times better. Best server I've ever had in my entire life and I live in New Orleans, the restaurant capital of the world. What a nice guy. Also side note... the band was FUEGO!!! read more

Wonderful food, excellent service, live music, and beautiful rooftop views of town of Isla Mujeres. I had Lobster tail, Parmesan garlic risotto, and mixed vegetables- all cooked to perfection. My husband had shrimp fettuccine also delicious. We will be coming back next time we are in Isla for sure! It's worth the trip off Hildago. read more

One of the best places to eat in Isla Mujeres! The staff - highly trained in professionalism and service The food - incredible, one must try the lobster tail appetizer!!! Indescribably good! Atmosphere and Cocktails - all top notch! Met the owner sitting at the bar and she was an absolute joy to talk with. So was her husband who came around after to make sure everything was as expected and that we were pleased with our overall experience. Will definitely be going back next time we're in Isla and recommend this to anyone looking for a phenomenal dinner experience read more

Ever time I come to the island, this restaurant is a must. The staff is pleasant and the food is beyond excellent. I've never had one bad food or drink item here. The owners are such great happy people to meet and know. You can tell they take pride from when you walk In the door, until you leave. Live music is relaxing. Only one word to describe this place and that word is.....Phenomenal! IMO the best restaurant on the island. The service, ambience and the food is top notch. Lobster bites and the filet empanadas are to die for. The owner makes the deserts and the chocolate cheesecake is light and fluffy and out of this world. The rest of the deserts will wow you too. Even after eating elsewhere I find myself going to the the bar to grab desert. The music is soft and soothing which is an added bonus. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for these days. Make reservations as most of the island agrees it's the best. Enjoy. read more

I don't write reviews ever but had to for this place. My husband and I were there for six days and this was the best meal of the trip. Highly recommended for vegetarians that want the real stuff and not something Americanized. The cactus appetizer and the veggie platter were amazing, flavorful (the lentils ), and light but filling. The musician was a whole vibe and the atmosphere was small and beautiful. I recommend getting a reservation since it filled up after we got there and there's a pretty gnarly staircase to get to the top so be careful! read more

I follow the Islandaholics group on Facebook and asked for recommendations for my fiances bday. 4 of the 6 recommendations were to go here and we are so happy we did. Make reservations and if possible, sit on the rooftop. We didn't but got to check it out for dessert and it was really cool. We spoke with both owners several times and they were warm and welcoming and the cherry on top for a great experience. We loved the drunken shrimp as an app, the serrano chicken, shrimp fettuccine, and the skirt steak and shrimp. For dessert, the coconut cheesecake was amazing. I highly recommend it! read more

We tried this for the first time and completely enjoyed everything. Had there mixed seafood app that was perfect for four of us. Also had the catch which was grouper with blackened and their sauces that was delicious. Staff very accommodating and owner stops by to check on you. Highly recommend. read more

Ohhhhhh man this place is awesome! Everything you want in that tucked away Mexican Paradise of a restaurant! We ate here once, and were sold on it as a perfect place to celebrate a memorable party. A year later the owners threw me the 40th Birthday Party to put in the history books! Food... Incredible, Entertainment... Wonderful... And the cocktails are sensational! If you haven't tried this place, make a reservation. Oh and I highly recommend sitting rooftop. That cool isla breeze during a nice dinner is oh so perfect. The owners of this place have nailed every detail of what I love about Mexico and dining out. Thank you guys for making us feel like absolute VIP's read more

What a great spot! Deb and Willie are great hosts! Great roof top dining with a cooling treetop breeze! The food was great! Lots of flavors and Deb makes the desserts! We had the drunken shrimp appetizer and the shrimp pasta with basil creame sauce and the skirt steak and shrimp surf and turf! It was nice having steak after so much seafood! Garlic mash was great! We finished with triple chocolate cake! Also, for you bourbon lovers, this is one of the few places with something better than Jim Beam. They had Maker's Mark! And Willie play a mean acoustic guitar and sings traditional Mexican songs mixed with other styles! Go and have a blast! read more

This was kind of a missed opportunity. We decided to come here for drinks and dessert but when we got there we immediately regretted not having come for dinner. This will be on the top of our list next time we are on island. We order red sangria, a Manhattan and their Key Lime pie. Wow..... I'm going to be thinking about this pie for a while. Delicious. The drinks were very good. This is definitely a place we would recommend checking out. One thing to keep in mind, there is a spiral staircase that you have to go up to get to the dining area. Not handicapped accessible. read more
