The server was great she also took our order. The mild salsa needed a little bit more flavor. The medium green salsa and the hot were great though. Lomo saltado perfectly seasoned and cooked well. Which I was not expecting .. and they used fajita meat for it instead of beef chunks. Then we ordered asada tacos and we got fajita meat tacos. I had dined here regularly before they sold the place and they had a GREAT SALSA BAR. Now... the salsa bar is GONE. No pickled carrots & jalapeños to liven-up your meal. Without it...BLAND. They only give watery salsa that has no flavor to it. Not even a lime to add a pungent kick at all. Like dining out of the regular white food truck at work. No different. The only saving grace is that they still sell INCA KOLA. THE SALSA BAR IS TERRIBLY MISSED and doesn't make going here really worth it anymore. Its just BLAND FOOD NOW. I've been coming here for about 20 years, they just recently got new owners, and it's not the same, I've tried 3 times, they're out of a lot of things or just don't want to make them. There is also an unpleasant awkwardness when the employees actually yell at each other with you standing right there. It makes me really miss the old couple that owned it all of those years. We were looking for a quick bite to eat and saw this place. I was delightfully surprised at how delicious the fried fish taco was. Fish tacos are my favorite and most places don't make them that great. This was delicious also the Al pastor taco and asada tacos were delicious! Plus the aji salsa so spicy and so good! Went to this place after seeing new management and peruvian food on sign outside. My wife tried to order soup dont have none! Then she try's to order two peruvian dishes they don't have it ! I ordered beef enchilada and get cheese enchilada! They take forever and customer service! The owner needs to change things or you'll be out of business! We won't be back! read more

This little mom & pop Mexican-Peruvian gem is friendly and wholesome. Don't go expecting fancy décor though because you won't find it. But what you will find is good food at very affordable prices. They passed our chips and salsa test with flying colors; freshly made chips that are still warm when brought to your table and salsa from the small salsa bar that's very satisfying. Jackie thought her combo order of beef taco, chili relleno and cheese enchilada with brown rice and vegetarian refried beans was decent. But she thought the beef taco was the real standout, while the rest was just passable. I was totally satisfied with my taco salad with beef that was grilled to perfection and very tender. And the vegetables were fresh and crisp. We'd gladly return for a sampling of other menu items. read more

Just stopped by. My first time here. It took me a very long time to decide but one of the guys behind the counter helped me decide on one of their Peruvian dishes. They served salsa and chips at the table which was nice. Salsa was very good. They have a very large selection of meals to choose from. The dish I had was good. I would have given them maybe 5 stars if the fry's that came with it were not so bland. Otherwise the spices added to the dish with the tomatoes won it over...Nice little place. I think it's worth a check out. It's always nice to support the community. I'll most likely be coming back to check out the rest of the stuff. Also to add it's not too pricey either. This is one of those delicious hole in the wall authentic Mexican spots, and they also serve Peruvian food as well! My boyfriend finally took me here after I barely knew it existed. We ordered the tallarines saltados (some Peruvian dish with noodles and your choice of meat.. it's DELICIOUS!!!) and the arroz chaufa (Peruvian as well, very similar to fried rice) and both were to die for. I'm sitting waiting for my to go order on the tallarines saltados right now and I'm so excited. Would love to try other food here but i can't get over how good the noodles are. So much flavor! The workers here are very nice and the inside is nice and clean and has comfortable booths. Portions are huge for a great price. Salsa bar as well. On 06/24/2022 around 1:30 we had the worst experience at this restaurant the cashier working there was extremely unprofessional rude and even tried fighting by pulling her hair up because I asked for a refund on a drink that tasted spoiled. I had returned back after 4 months because I had a previous great experience with the manager and overall the food was great. Unfortunately an employee can ruin it just like that. I asked for the manager and even the lady cleaning was rude and talking back . I don't recommend this place because of the horrible service avoid a headache and unpleasant time while trying to have a meal . This place is such a gem! It's a Peruvian and Mexican restaurant with a decent amount of seating. It looks small from the outside, but can definitely accommodate a crowd. From all the times I've stopped by, it seems like this is a mama papa type of shop - which is always a plus! I have never been disappointed by the food here. My favorite thing to get is their Chicken Chimichanga. The shredded chicken it comes with is delicious! It's superr soft and has the melt in your mouth type of feel. Also comes with guac, pico, and sour cream on the side. It's a decent portion and quality is worth the price (maybe even exceeds it a bit). This place is definitely on my list of top Mexican food places in SCV. Give them a try next time you catch yourself craving some Mexican or Peruvian or just feel like trying out a new place! read more

I found this place by luck on my daily lunch walk. I wondered in and Checked the menu. I decided on a Double cheese burger. Crazy you might say to order that here. Well I have to say when it came I was shocked it was so good. I now eat lunch there every day. The owners are the nicest folks and the food rocks. Place is super clean.
