Was in the area and starving so I decided to pop in. It was clean, staff was friendly. Food was quick, hot and delicious. Menu was totally redone from the old pics I saw on here. I will definitely be back!

I had dined here regularly before they sold the place and they had a GREAT SALSA BAR. Now... the salsa bar is GONE. No pickled carrots & jalapeños to liven-up your meal. Without it...BLAND. They only give watery salsa that has no flavor to it. Not even a lime to add a pungent kick at all. Like dining out of the regular white food truck at work. No different. The only saving grace is that they still sell INCA KOLA. THE SALSA BAR IS TERRIBLY MISSED and doesn't make going here really worth it anymore. Its just BLAND FOOD NOW. PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR SALSA BAR! OR AT LEAST OFFER YOUR GUESTS LIMES, OR VERDE SALSA. DISAPPOINTED. The young person behind the register was more interested in the small group of young men to FLIRT AWAY instead of doing her job. HIRE MORE RESPONSIBILE PEOPLE WITH BETTER WORK ETHICS instead of allowing their ghetto friends to hang out and use up all her time while they ordered NOTHING!

This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem! They are under new ownership and the inside looks completely different not to mention the customer service. I got the lomo saltado and the meat had a really good flavor and i also got a pineapple drink as well. It has a nice vibe i'd come here again.

This little mom & pop Mexican-Peruvian gem is friendly and wholesome. Don't go expecting fancy décor though because you won't find it. But what you will find is good food at very affordable prices. They passed our chips and salsa test with flying colors; freshly made chips that are still warm when brought to your table and salsa from the small salsa bar that's very satisfying. Jackie thought her combo order of beef taco, chili relleno and cheese enchilada with brown rice and vegetarian refried beans was decent. But she thought the beef taco was the real standout, while the rest was just passable. I was totally satisfied with my taco salad with beef that was grilled to perfection and very tender. And the vegetables were fresh and crisp. We'd gladly return for a sampling of other menu items.

One of Canyon Country's gems! I'm sure the Mexican food is good but I've never tried it because their Peruvian food is so good you'll be making inappropriate groaning and sighing noises. I'm not a Peruvian food pro but their Lomo Saltado is insane! It's a great place to bring your meat-and-potatoes-only friends. It's exotic enough that adventuresome eaters will be happy and familiar enough that your non-adventuresome friends will like it too. For about $10 how can you go wrong??!!

Parking can be a little tricky since it's on a busy street, but it's definitely not something that should stop you from visiting. Our server was attentive, and our order arrived quickly. We ordered two appetizers. Unfortunately, the papa rellena arrived sitting in a pool of oil, which was a major turnoff, so we sent it back. The tamal was a little dry for my taste, although my wife enjoyed it. The chicha morada was very good. The lomo saltado arrived first and was served a bit cold. Unfortunately, it did not compare to the lomo saltado at Misky Misky, which is one of our favorites. This one was somewhat disappointing. My wife's bistec apanado was also lacking in flavor, although the pesto was decent. Overall, the service was great and the ambiance was very pleasant. However, the food has significant room for improvement. With better execution and more attention to flavor and presentation, this could be a much stronger dining experience.

I had the sangria and my girlfriend tried the mojito passion. Both drinks are refreshing. For appetizers, I tried the mussels with corn and onions. It's good. For entree, I tried the Lomo Saltado. The sautee beef has onions and tomatoes. The flavor is good and goes well with the rice. Dessert is not included in the Dine LA menu, but we wanted to try a Peruvian ice cream. The Lucum ice cream tastes good, it's buttery and has caramel and maple syrup flavor. It's a special Peruvian fruit. It's a good wrap for our dinner. We will like to come back to try more dishes.

We visited this restaurant at the beginning of Dine LA for lunch ($35)…read more When we arrived, the door was locked and had to be let in by the staff though there were at least 5 other parties dining there. I thought that was a bit odd, but I guess it was to detract from unwelcomed guests (i.e. homless people)? Anyhow, we were seated right away and sat by the window which was nice! We were given the menus, but I had to specifically ask for the DineLA menu which I also thought was a bit odd since it seemed like they wanted us to order off their regular menu. Perhaps this was just an oversight. For starters, we ordered 1 of each that was offered: Ceviche Carretillero - Refreshing and brought me back to time spent in Peru! I preferred this option Salpicon - This was also refreshing and reminded me of chicken salad mix in a bowl though not sure I would order it without it being a part of a prix fixe. For the main course, we ordered: Saltado Salad - This had minimal protein and was not so satisfying when compared to a traditional lomo saltado, but the protein that was there was yummy. Aji Gallina - I really was excited to see this on their menu since I love this dish so much and don't see it offered too often at Peruvian restaurants. Though the sauce was good, the chicken was VERY dry and hard to chew (overcooked) so it took a while to finish this. In lieu of desserts, they offered Maracuya (passion fruit) and Chicha Morada (purple corn) juices which were yummy but the star of the show was their sangria which was delicious especially on a hot day. My only complaint about the sangria was that we were charged for 3 carafes when we only got 2. Once we identified this, we brought it up and just went ahead and enjoyed the 3rd one since we had already settled the bill. That being said, always double check your receipt!
