Let me tell you...we were legit surprised and very excited we found our new taco spot. The place itself is a small location but don't let size fool you. The flavor is there. From the salsas, to the main entres to the frijoles!!! We liked it so much we ordered a second plate of the Aguachiles. The chorizo tacos were my favorite with the green avocado looking salsa. 10/10 food, service, portions, price. Stumbled upon this place via a community post suggestion and my life is better for it! Been craving fresh ceviche but haven't been able to drive to Baja...now I don't need to! Order the fish & shrimp ceviche. It comes in a generous sized tub and (2) tostadas. (which is not enough) The ceviche is outstanding and the perfect amount to serve. I've been here twice this week and ordered the same except more tacos the second time. Their Birria tacos are FIRE! I brought 2 home for my husband this time, he immediately said he's going back for dinner. lol. Their green salsa is liquid gold! Creamy and flavorful. The Pickled veggies are perfect. Ok Santa Clarita Yelpers, so after visiting Hilarios Tacos for the first time yesterday, I come to find out that they have / had a local Taco Truck out here in SC. Talk about supporting a local, up and coming business. In the past, this location was ran by another Mexican Enterprise which failed the neighborhood, Hilarios Tacos took it over and it's a complete 180 degrees from what it was. That being said, I ordered a shrimp burrito, a Carnitas wet burrito and a shredded beef taco and they were outstanding. Not only was everything in the burrito flavorful but the taco was excellent as well. There's nothing better when everything has flavor and you don't bite into something that has no seasoning. I'm looking forward to a return visit very soon. The portions are perfect and the prices are on point and average for Santa Clarita, however the flavors will stand out. The people that run the place come across very nice and are appreciative of customers. When you walk in don't be spooked about those big monitors not having a menu, hopefully they get that fixed soon but they will hand you a paper menu and there are lots of yummy options! Stopped here after a hike. Had 3 chicken tacos with avocado and 4 kinds of salsa. The food was so good that we then ordered fries. The fries were crispy and just awesome. We've been going to Hilario's since we discovered their food truck last year, and we rarely miss a week without stopping in. They are family owned and operated, and the quality of their food and service is always excellent. In my humble opinion, they have the best street tacos in town. The birria (with consommé) is delicious; the carnitas are insanely juicy with perfect crisp edges; their carne asada is tender and flavorful, and the breaded fish tacos are crispy goodness, and my personal favorite. They also have some of the yummiest salsas, so don't miss out on those. Hilaria's has had a food truck cruising around the SCV for quite awhile now, Now, they've opened up a brick and mortar location (where Jazmin's used to be). We went in just a few days after opening. Build-out is plain, but clean. They have a small service counter and a number of tables for in-house dining. Walls are white, but barren of any decorations. Hopefully, there is a plan to make the place a little less sterile. The person at the counter was very friendly, and made several recommendations. I ordered their shrimp cocktail, which was tasty, and a chicken taco. My wife ordered a couple of chicken tacos. These are "street taco" style, with small corn tortillas, chicken and pico de gallo. They sell bottled drinks from a cooler and have a small drink bar. Tortilla chips were house-made, and there is a salsa bar. Salsas have a kick to them. Food was good and everyone was very nice.
