The service today was really bad today, it seems like the waitress keep changing and it's been going downhill ever since! I often frequent this establishment often but after 2 different visits where the services was horrible! I think like I'm going to look for another Sushi restaurant. On more comment the appetizer's came out cold and I ordered a large hot saki and there was none ready, I had to wait a good 15 min for it to arrive, then I had to remind her I was waiting for it. When it shows up it was not the usual amount that I have received before. And likewise the plumb wine was wrong the first time I had to explain to the waitress what plumb wine was, and again it was less than a half a glass!. Not what is usually served here!. I will no later visit this place!. And I recommend you don't either!. read more

Service is horrible if you are African American. The Asian woman that has recently started showing up and working is rude towards African American customers. I am an African American woman and I have been going to this place and had been treated very well until the Asian woman showed up. I went in with my family and unlike all the other times when we select our own seat, this woman tries to sit us at the back near the register and the restroom. I don't let her select my seat. I select myself, and I seated my family in the front near the sushi bar. This woman comes to my table at least a half a dozen times while I'm eating asking are you OK? Are you done? Are you OK? Are you done? I felt so rushed and unwelcome at this place that on my first visit with her, l left her a good tip and I tried to brush it off and assume it was her culture. I came back a couple of weeks later and it was the same thing. I don't understand people if you don't want to have a restaurant that is open to all people then do not open a restaurant in the United States. because of this woman's rude treatment of making me feel like I was unwelcome and rushed me and my family out of the establishment. I watched this woman. She did not approach no one else's table as many times as she kept approaching me and asking are you done? Are you OK? Are you done? Are you OK? I felt unwelcome. I did not feel that my business was welcomed and because of her actions, I will never frequent or give my money to The, Love sushi location in the canyon country area of Santa Clarita ever again. read more

We moved to Santa Clarita a little more than 3 years ago from Encino. We had a wide selection of places to go there and developed many go to's for our spots. We love sushi and after trying a few of the highly recommended spots out here, we werent impressed. Love Sushi Canyon Country is very good. It has become one of our new go to's since we relocated. The food is good, always fresh and the staff is very friendly. The dining in experience is quaint and comfortable. They even know my order just by my name When I call for take out.. Gotta love that. This was the worst experience I've had here. I've ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl before, and it was always good, but this time it was made horribly and didn't taste anything like it usually does. They also only gave me a very small amount of teriyaki sauce. To make matters worse, the lady working there was very rude. Oh, this place is underrated. The green tea is a must as well as the won ton soup for starters. Soft shell crab is delicious. Yellowtail is tender and flavorful. Baked rolls are sooooo good. The staff is accommodating and courteous. Beat the dinner crowd like we did, 3-4 pm is a prime time to get a fresh, filling sushi experience. The lighting is low, which I really love. Came on a Friday night about an hour before closing and the food and service were amazing! I was seated right away. Parking was no issue, plenty spaces large parking lot. Servers were very nice, professional, and efficient. My water was never empty. Sushi chefs were friendly and welcoming. Everything that was ordered tasted delicious. The premium fishes tasted fresh and were well prepared -- especially the nigiri. I really enjoyed the way the sushi chef, Jason, prepared the nigiri with the garnishes. One item, called the spoon, was a tasty bite of blue fin toro, uni, and tobiko and was probably my favorite of the night. Uni is definitely an acquired taste but if you like eating sea urchin, you will enjoy this "spoon". haha. And don't want to forget to mention the green mussels, honestly I didn't have much expectation but wow whatever sauce they make was actually really good, I'll definitely be ordering that again. Side note, I also really liked how they cut the mussel in half which helped make eating it easier, I never received mussels prepared that way before. Horrible experience, the server wasn't paying attention or listening. I asked for cooked rolls since I can not eat anything raw and I wanted to verify the rolls I ordered were cooked, she said yes. Now let me say the server was very friendly, but when we came in, he kept playing in his hair. I was hoping that when i saw it once, i was going to let it go, but after the 10th time throughout the nite i had a bad taste in my mouth since he handled people food. I couldn't even enjoy the food. He may be new, so i was going to tell him in a friendly manner, but my bf didn't want me to say anything, but that is very, very bad when it's sushi or whatever type of food. I kept thinking his hair or something may get in my food, maybe it's me, but i never saw that at any establishment that served food.
