We were staying for 4 nights. There was a desk with an uncomfortable chair and a bench. No place to put ones luggage. No place to sit comfortably. When I asked for a chair i was told i could sit outside in the 95 degree heat. When they brought a chair it was another uncomfortable one. I asked again and the brought me yet another uncomfortable one. When i asked for a place to put our luggage they brought another bench. That was no where near big enough for our 2 suitcases. We asked for a refrigerator 4 times before one was brought. When I went to the 6 to 9 pizza party at 8:30 I was told I there was no pizza. In other reviews you here about noise or veiw, neither of this things were the case for me. The bed was comfortable the ac adequate and quiet. And yet every interaction I had with the staff was awful. There are a lot better places to be in Loreto.

Because the hotel is located right in the plaza of a 300 year old church, the church bells ring every 15 to 30 minutes, ALL night long. Also, as animals roam freely in the area, the resident Tom cat meowed in the middle of the night too. There's also a beautiful rooftop pool and patio area. If it weren't for the noise of the church and the unreliability of the water, I'd go back.

Our room got checked daily, bed made and garbage taken out with full service half way through our stay. Daily full service can be requested as desired. The hotel has free WiFi, a book sharing area, 2 pools (1 heated, the other not), 2 bbq areas with outdoor eating areas, and pool are towels provided. The rooms also have TV with DVD players and CDs to check out from the office. We met great people here, many of them were repeat customers and we felt like we had joined an ongoing party. It was lovely having our morning coffee outside in the courtyard and with a heated pool you could swim at any time of the day. With a well stocked library and movies if you just wanted to stay at the casitas and relax you need not look anywhere else. Close by the town square and the marina, everything was within walking distance. We have already booked a 2 week stay next year we were so impressed with the service and room. It costs more than many of the hotels we've stayed in on Baja, but Loreto is a tourist town and it has much nicer amenities than most of the places we've stayed. If you like high end hotels and expect the four seasons, yes, you won't be satisfied. Our room was huge and comfortable. The inner courtyard with the pool is beautifully landscaped. We visited in early October and many people were using the pool and hot tub in the early evening. It closed by 9pm. The restaurant was a little pricey but still not bad. It's the best pasta I've had in Baja. Our stay included breakfast with three simple options. We chose the scrambled eggs, small pancake and fresh fruit. We felt safe with our car in the parking lot next to security. All in all an enjoyable experience.

It's not actually private, but it's right there and it's very beautiful. We watched sunsets, sunrises, moon rises, and went tidepooling right out the door. It's also located at the end of the town's "malecón" and is easy to get into the heart of Loreto on foot - Rooms. I found the rooms totally suitable. While they are not glamorously decorated, I felt they had everything we needed (dresser, closet, hangers, safe). The rooms were clean and housekeeping could be seen daily. The beds are on the harder side. Shampoo and conditioner provided. Hot water was abundant, wifi was sufficient for casual needs, and each room had TV and air-conditioning (yay) - Staff/service. We received excellent care from all the staff members (reception, restaurant, housekeeping). Most spoke very good English and did their best to meet our group's requests - Amenities. The pool is great and they have a gigantic hot tub that was very hot - Breakfast. Included, buffet style with good variety for our group, they kept the coffee refills coming - Culture. The owners and their staff really try to bring some of Mexico's culture to their guests. This is a family-owned operation and they're passionate about hospitality and tradition. They gave us room number 130, the bathrooms floor were was wet from the running toilet water in the bathroom, we also saw rat droppings in our room. I asked for the manager (Claudia) to let her know, after letting one of the staff members at the counter know about the problems, I was told she's busy in a meeting. Our room was changed to room number 107, when we walked in it had a musty smell. After a couple of hours, we realize big bubbles on the ceiling and the and dripping water from the second floor room into our room (see pictures). When we told the counter again about the problem, they gave us our third room in two days. This was supposed to be a four day vacation. It turned into a four day disaster. Regarding the restaurant, they have limited breakfast, three items on the menu. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, the only one good thing they have is the beach, and nothing else.
