Jozef and his team were extremely attentive throughout the entire process, completed the work in a very reasonable time frame, and had competitive rates. Jozef even walked me through a couple of additional items that made a huge difference in the remodel including painting the cabinets instead of replacing (I don't know how they did it but they turned out perfectly), moving a cabinet for better sight lines, making a waterfall edge to update the counter, and putting a light in the newly installed stand up shower in the bathroom. All of the work is extremely high quality including some of the best tile work I have seen (and there was a lot of it). In the end I have an entirely new bathroom and kitchen in a place that now feels brand new. Thanks to Jozef and the entire VRC team!

We hated the drip, drip, drip of precious water. Danny fixed it in one short visit! Another plumber told us his repair was very involved with expensive custom parts, a building water shutoff, and with the daunting words, "it won't be cheap". Danny saved us from all of that. We will always go with Danny as our first choice. PS. He also repaired a loose bathroom tile, after fixing the shower.

I came across John and his team at Chicago Home Re/Vision after months thinking about a bathroom remodel and was close to giving up on finding a contractor. I'm glad that I didn't give up because (1) John responded within a day of outreach to come out and assess -- providing me a breath of fresh air, hope, and vigor for this project -- and (2) the final result was beyond my wildest dreams. From initial contact to end, John and his team were professional, communicative, flexible, and an absolute delight to work with. Prior to the project, John provided me a lot of advice on materials, aesthetics, and timeline -- which helped me mitigate some of the risks and what-ifs. Seriously, I wouldn't have installed a half shower door had he not advised that (1) it would be easier to install than a full shower door -- not that it would be a problem for me -- but as a result it would be easier to maintain, (2) it would look great with the vision I was going for, and (3) that it would be functional despite my first reaction. I had many travel plans during the summer, which made it difficult for me to say when exactly we could get started, however, Chicago Home Re/Vision was able to be flexible and accommodate a delayed start date. At every juncture of the project, John provided me many choices to make which helped me feel like I was an active participant in creating the end product and made sure that I would not be surprised by anything. The end result is so very impressive -- I some times do not believe that this is the same bathroom. They did such an amazing job. It is even more impressive when I say that their timeline and budget was exactly in line with their initial quotes, which were already incredibly fair. We're happy with the results and feel great. AC made lots of suggestions we hadn't considered which turned out to be very helpful. What should have been an exciting improvement to our home has instead turned into months of frustration, disruption, and stress. Communication from the owner has been extremely poor throughout the project. There has repeatedly been miscommunication between the owner, the workers, and what was actually agreed upon in our contract. I have constantly had to go behind the workers, remind them of what needed to be completed, point out mistakes, and address work that was rushed, sloppy, incomplete, or simply not done correctly. The company has also failed to provide a consistent, experienced crew. Workers frequently took days off or simply were not here, and different or inexperienced workers were sent to complete jobs they did not appear qualified to perform. Painting has been particularly disappointing, with sloppy workmanship and areas that have needed correction. Rather than completing each portion of the project properly, much of the work has felt rushed and half done. Another ongoing issue has been the complete lack of respect for our home. Massive amounts of construction debris and trash have repeatedly been left both inside and outside our property instead of being properly cleaned up and removed. Throughout all of this, I upheld my responsibility as the customer. I made every payment on time and many times earlier than required. I gave this company every opportunity to complete the work they were contracted and paid to perform. Looking back, I wish I had stopped the project much sooner. Unfortunately, we were under contract, had already invested significant time and money, and simply wanted the work finished. Instead, we have spent month after month living in a home where multiple rooms have remained unfinished, work has repeatedly needed to be corrected, and we have had to constantly supervise a project that we hired professionals to manage. The mental and emotional toll of living under these conditions for this length of time cannot be overstated. Having your home disrupted for months, never knowing whether workers are going to show up, repeatedly discovering mistakes, living around unfinished construction and debris, and constantly having to chase someone for communication is exhausting. All in all, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company. If you are considering hiring them, I strongly encourage you to carefully consider whether you are prepared for the possibility of spending many months living with unfinished work, inconsistent crews, poor communication, repeated mistakes, construction debris, and the stress of having to personally oversee work that you hired and paid a remodeling company to manage. After this experience, I believe we deserved far better communication, workmanship, project management, cleanliness, and professionalism especially considering that we consistently honored our financial obligations throughout the entire project.

It seems like they used our money to get their bigger clients' jobs done and not our job. The amount of work they have finish in the past five months could have been done in 4 or 5 weeks. There have not shown up to work for muliple weeks, and when the do show up it is one or two days and they only get one thing done. Don't fall for the "you need to pay us money at differen phases" and then they don't show up. They claim this doesn't usually happen but they are NOT doing anything to get things done any faster.
