If it's a nice day and you (or your kids) need to burn some energy, this is the place for you! I…read morehad never been here before, but my sister asked me if I wanted to go and take my kids for some fun. The entrance comes up quickly when you're driving, so make sure you don't miss it! We immediately went to the park, and my kids had an absolute blast. They're 3 and 1, but I saw plenty of older kids having fun as well. We checked out the lake, which was super pretty (watch out for goose poop!). I noticed some people fishing, and it looked like there were canoes around too! We then decided to have some lunch. There are plenty of picnic tables, so finding a spot to sit is not a problem. We ended the visit with one more trip to the park and then left. My kids were EXHAUSTED afterward, and I always appreciate a place that can tire them out. I'd like to visit again on a solo trip and walk a few miles around the lake next time!

There's a nearby park that has alot of activities for kids, decent restrooms and even canoe rentals. We hiked the entire trail around the pond and it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It can be really muddy depending on when you go. Structures are in solid standing. Trail features small slopes so it's not completely flat. Great place to visit.

I visited this park on a Sunday afternoon in May 2021 with my friend and fellow Yelper, Christina…read moreP. The park is located in Parma, Ohio and this was my first time there. TENNIS COURTS -- I arrived to play tennis. There are about 8 tennis courts which is plenty for a park. When I arrived around 4pm, there were people playing tennis and about 5 courts open. The tennis courts are all hard surface and it felt good to play on them. The nets seemed well kept as well. I have no complaints about the conditions of the court. The park itself has a big grassy field that sits on a hill just across from the tennis courts. I heard that there used to be a swimming pool here but that has since been removed. I didn't get to walk around the other side of the park. PROS -- Clean park with plenty of tennis courts. CONS -- There aren't many benches to sit on by the big grassy field and I didn't see any swings or play activities for kids. I don't have kids but I'm assuming that families with kids would prefer a park with swings or slides. Well, now that I think about it, there are benches by a big open structure in the ground which I hear will become a man-made pond soon. Be careful if you bring kids here because they may easily slide down and fall into it. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back to play tennis since I love tennis. **** - 34/100 total reviews in 2021 - 454 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 May 2021

It's one of my favorite local nature reserves. There are always a lot of groups in this area enjoying picnic tables and pavilion. The picnic area itself is well-kept and welcoming, with plenty of space to relax, enjoy a meal, or simply sit and take in nature. The meadow at the entrance has 2 convenient tables. The pavilion nestled more in the park has many picnic tables, grill, and fire place. It accommodates large parties. I have seen a lot of big groups have different holiday celebrations or just gather on a sunny day. What I enjoy the most is the space between picnic tables and inside the pavilion to offer privacy to various groups and a space to roam. The reservation also has a lot of great trails. They're far enough from the road to offer a serene experience. As I walked along the quiet paths and took in the scenic views around Strawberry Pond, I felt an immediate sense of calm. The sounds of birds calling and leaves rustling in the breeze added to the tranquil atmosphere. The bathrooms are conveniently available at the entrance. They are a little gross but available. The parking lot is pretty spacious. The picnic area is very easy to find, just follow the signage or your GPS. Whether you're walking the nearby trails or just lounging with family or friends, this place feels like a hidden gem. Overall, my time at Strawberry Picnic Area reminded me of the importance of reconnecting with nature and making space for simple, quiet moments. It's a place I'd return to in any season. I'll be back again in a few weeks.

To be honest I was petrified of losing one of the only three discs I own. Lots of ponds and water obstacles. I'm a casual disc golfer meaning that I go about twice a month at the most. This course seems to be set up a little more for the more avid disc golfers. Every time that I've gone, there has been quite a few avid players. I don't know if professional is the term for them but they are close to it. I usually feel a little out of my league when I play there. Two of the holes focus on a water hazard that for a casual disc golfer are a bit more challenging than I care to attempt. The first one angles across a decent size pond. The other one has the basket directly beside the pond. For me personally, I have no desire to get close to losing my disc in the water. If you want a challenging course, then this is a pretty good course. If you're a casual disc golfer, then I think there are some other courses in the area that might be a little more enjoyable. I'm just really not that big of a fan of the setup of the course. One cool thing about the course though is the fact that it does have 24 holes instead of the conventional 18 holes in case you want to skip the water hazard holes.
