I found Roscoe's at this year's Tennessee Hot Sauce Expo, and it did NOT disappoint! Fast and friendly service. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich on a potato bun with their hot sauce, and WOW. I'm a self-proclaimed barbecue snob, and this was incredible. Very tender and packed with flavor. The fries had just the right kick of spice too! Good food! As I often do when I visit a food truck (especially one ordering BBQ) I ordered too much food so I could try more flavors. I was impressed! The Roscoe's Big Boy Pulled Pork Sandwich was delicious. The pulled pork was tender and moist, with a bit of smoke flavor. It was pretty good on its own. The sandwich was fantastic though. The "Big Boy" version is a little bigger than their standard pulled pork sandwich, and it adds cole slaw which I enjoy. So you've got pulled pork, BBQ sauce, pickles, and cole slaw on a potato bun. Great combination of flavors, and I really enjoyed this sandwich. I may have made a huge mess, but it was worth it! The pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and full of flavor. I usually avoid pork ribs unless they're baby back ribs (yes, I'm a snob about my ribs), but I decided to give these a try. They were delicious. The rub was really tasty, and the flavor nice and smokey, super tender and juicy. The baked beans were really good, with a bit of sweetness, which I like. Good overall flavor. The potato salad was also really good. The staff (all family I believe) were all friendly and helpful. There was some confusion with the ordering process, which I was a little surprised with since this food truck has apparently been around for a while. But even with a little confusion I was able to place my order without difficulty and got my food quickly. I would most certainly enjoy running into this food truck again. I'd like to try the brisket next time, perhaps alongside another Big Boy Pulled Pork. ;-) read more

Amidst Covid-19, Roscoe's came to my neighborhood so decided to give them a try. Had the Brisket platter with fries. Served on a bun, Brisket was tender and flavorful but would've preferred my sauce on side. Online ordering made it easy, and the estimated wait times were pretty accurate which is a big plus in my book. Tip: Consider punching a hole on the fries side of the styrofoam container to allow fries to breathe and not get soggy. read more

I came across Roscoe's at a food truck festival and ordered the smoked wing basket. The food was served quickly and was hot. My fries were overly salted so I didn't eat them all. The smoked wings were over cooked and dry. Most of the wings I couldn't eat because the meat was too tough to chew. They tasted as if they were made earlier this week. They are covered in bbq sauce which I found odd. I've never had smoked wings with bbq sauce but I'm new to Tn so maybe that's how things are done in this state. Not good for a big group. Came unprepared to handle 65 people in a timely fashion. Ran out of the signature item (brisket). Limited people to one side item. It's good bbq but I would avoid the truck for large employee related functions. Now I have upset employees and a blown time table for the event. Hire someone who caters events and can handle people quickly if you need to stick to a time table. read more

We had the pulled chicken sandwich and the wings & fries today. They were both delicious. The pulled chicken was very tender and was smoked perfectly. The BBQ sauce on the sandwich was delicious as was the bun. The serving size was generous. The wings were also excellent. We tried their food today, their pulled pork was delicious, the brisket was good, but I preferred the pulled pork sandwich. It was packed with meat and it was a good size sandwich, glad I didn't get the bigger sandwich, wouldn't been able to finish it. read more

This food truck came to my work and I decided to give it a try. I got the bbq nachos which stated they had queso cheese for 9$. When I got back to work I opened the box only to realize I had a pile of round cheap stale tortilla chips with 3 small pieces of pork covered in nacho cheese (not queso) and bbq sauce. These guys were awesome! At a weekend outdoor fundraiser, they were quite popular with our families and sponsors. The pulled pork and baked beans were my selection, and they certainly satisfied the palate. The gentlemen inside the truck were most hospitable, and they expressed thanks for letting them be a part of the event. When staff were emptying trash cans later, we remarked on just how many empty Roscoe's food boats we noticed. Popular with the crowd, delicious to eat, and friendly.
