I was getting really fed up with the nail place I had been loyal to for over a year when a friend recommended Rose Beauty Nails. I am so happy with the service I've had! I have had one manicure and one pedicure (2 separate visits). Both services were great. The nail techs were both very kind and made sure things were how I wanted before proceeding. I got a regular polish pedicure for a trip 2+ weeks ago and they still look great. I got gel on my fingers and none of them have started to peel off like they did when I went to my precious nail salon. And the best part is how great of a massage they give your legs / hands when you get a service. I felt so pampered and it was worth every penny!! My old place would slap a hot towel on me for legitimately 15 seconds but here I get to enjoy the experience. And friendly reminder to bring cash to tip with when you can. Ok so I have been coming here for years. My staff (front line workers I might add) purchased a gift certificate for me in March21. While the gift card was for both a manicure and pedicure $50 and $25 respectfully. They initially were not going to accept it..... after putting up a fuss and mentioned that there is a law in Connecticut concerning gift certificates; they eventually took the gift certificate for a pedicure even though the pedicure was less than $50. And the other gift certificate and cross it out. They did a good job on my nails but was extremely disappointed as new owners they did not want to honor this. I really feel that I will need to find another place. Disappointed as I am a faithful customer who has spent lots of money over the years and has always tipped extremely well! I'm a senior citizen and find it hard to keep up with my nails, especially on my toes. It hasn't been my practice to have pedicures or manicures, except for special occasions. Today, I went to Rose Beauty Nails and had a wonderful spa experience. She did a beautiful job on my fingers and toenails. She was very sweet to help me choose my color. The services included exfoliation, lotion, massage and hot rock treatment. It was truly a pampering spa experience! My technician and all that I encountered were very nice. This is my best friends go to salon for mani/pedis and have been here twice since it's right near her house. There's nothing too terribly special about this place, as most nail salons are a carbon copy of the next. You walk in, you're greeted and asked what you want. You tell them what you want and they tell you to pick a colour. Ha! Box standard. I've gotten a mani, pedi and have had my eye brows waxed. I must say that the owner is the only one who should be waxing eye brows. She does them perfectly and takes her time to get every stray hair. My friend had another lady do hers and she barely touched her eye brows. The owner had to go over that was already done on my friend and redo them. All in all, not bad for a nail salon. I really enjoyed my experience here! I had to wait a few minutes since I walked in for a manicure and pedicure, but while I waited they gave me a heat pack over my shoulders to make me feel comfortable. First I had the pedicure and they went all out, hot stone massage and warm towels on my legs along with a massage and paraffin treatment on my heels. After the pedicure I had another woman do my manicure and I asked for a design. Her attention to detail with my nails was amazing and she was very thorough. In addition to the treatments I got for my pedicure, the same was given for my manicure. Hot stone massage and lotion on my hands and a neck massage as well as paraffin treatment. I paid $57 for both services and the design and thought it was well worth it with everything I got and what a good job they did. The spa pedicure($30) consists of a leg massage with and without a hot stone, paraffin wax, exfoliation, and the usual scrubbing and nail polish. Also, they replace their chairs about every other year! I went in on Saturday to new pedicure chairs complete with different massage options. Usually I don't like those chairs because the massaging hurts, but these ones are awesome! After going to Rose Nails for so long, they are truly like family to me. My good friend took me here for my belated birthday after the Reins Deli adventure and I have to say...very impressed! The pride of ownership shines in this salon and it shows in the customer service. With the amount of people waiting for services, things moved along quickly and the service was not skimped. I normally go to Red Carpet Nails in Enfield for the luxury services that are equal ( and pay 80 bucks!) but I got the red carpet treatment here and spent a fraction of the cost. This place is an hour from where we live. It is so worth the drive. They are very clean. They do not smell like a nail salon. They do not over book for appointments like lots of places do. They have a spa pedicure that is like no other pedicure. Massage chair, lotion, hot stone rub, parafin on you heels, shoulder rub while you dry a good 20 minute leg and foot rub. I went to get my nails done today with my sister, and this is her nail place of choice, so I decided I may as well give it another try even though after my last review I vowed I'd never show my face here again. Funny how that works. Anyway, this time I had a totally different experience. This time, the guy who did my nails took the time to shape my nails and painted them so very carefully. My nails look so much better than last time, and the color I picked (went with another light pink just to see) actually came out the same color of the swatch (a magical thing). Rose nails is within walking distance from my house so I have been there many times over the years although it is not my main nail salon. The pedicures are wonderful. They do hot stones and paraffin wax and an overall great job and I think it is around $35. Great deal for what you get. I haven't been too recently but the last few times I went I wasn't too impressed with the gel polish selection and the gel I did get didn't stay on as long as others. The inside of the salon could really use an update/renovation as it does look old and outdated. Decor won't stop me from a decent priced and very thorough pedicure though! read more

Terrible. I've never been there before. I decided to try somewhere new. I asked for acrylic and I didn't get that. Still not sure what is on my nails. I was there Tuesday. For a $30 pedicure they gave me just about the best foot massage I have ever had and attended to small creature comforts including hot paraffin on my heels, and a hot shoulder drape while I got my pedicure. The chairs were new and gave great massages. The place is impeccable clean. Very friendly and customer oriented staff. I brought my dad and boyfriend here too, and they loved the men's pedicure. I went to this salon on the basis of reviews I read on this site and I had a so/so experience. I'm wondering if it was the women I had? She cut my toenails so short and then proceeded to file them even shorter until I actually yelped in pain from the file cutting into the skin under when my nail should have been. This happened several times and I couldn't even enjoy my pedicure because I kept cringing and pulling away. She then pushes back and clipped my cuticles so short that a few I them bled. One of them was bleeding above the nail bed- meaning she had just cut skin from my toe that wasn't even part of the cuticle. During my manicure I was pulling back every time she touched me just because I was anticipating the pain. During my hand massage she scrapped the inside of my arm with her nails several times. The quality of the paint job was decent- but everything else was pretty bad. I get manis/pedis twice a month and never miss an appointment. But since I moved from New Jersey to Connecticut I've had nothing but bad experiences. It's getting pretty discouraging! read more

I loved the service I received. I come from out of state and every nail salon from there is overpriced for a lack of service. I used to pay $30 for just a clean up + 1 min hand massage for a gel manicure where I come from. However, after I moved here, I came to Rose Nails and was surprised at the quality service I received. I had yet to check out a salon in town and this was the only salon that could accommodate my mom and myself for mani-pedi's last minute. The salon is clean and aesthetically appealing. The staff during our visit was efficient and professional and did a great job. Now keeping in mind that this was my moms first mani-pedi. I went in for a dip manicure. Everything seemed to be ok but she finished my nails quickly and then touched them to make sure they were dry and sent me on my way. I got to my car and noticed big smudges on my left hand so I went back in. She apologized and re-did my left hand and I sat for 10 minutes (don't think I've ever had to dry that long after a dip manicure) and she touched them again and they smudged. She wasn't having it anymore so she put a gel topcoat on my nails and stuck my hand under the UV light. Well that seemed to work except now (3 days later) that super thin top coat of gel on top of the dip is now peeling! I have no desire to go back to this place. read more

Okay, one star for a decent pedi, but absolutely none for the overpriced and clumsy refill and gel mani. The lady (I think she was the owner) was rough, hurt my cuticles till they bled, didn't shape the nail tips well, didn't buff after abrading the surface, and blobbed on the polish quite thick in some spots while missing noticeable areas on the edges. Worst manicure of my life! Looked like a five year old had done it. Or worse. Went out this morning to another salon to have it completely redone. A waste of time and money. read more

I walked into my appointment thinking that it would be just like the other places that I have gone to. A pleasant surprise for my day when they placed a warm towel on my shoulders and neck! Conversation was friendly and my nails are nicely done. While my nails were drying another hot towel was placed on my shoulders with a short, but lovely message. This place rocks! Had I only been reviewing the pedicure I got my score would be higher, but the manicure I received was terrible. I showed the woman a picture of how I wanted my nails done with gel, a fade of white to my natural nail, and she proceeded to give me a French manicure because I was getting married and she said that's what everyone gets. When I brought it to her attention that this was not what I asked for she could not fix it and even tried to bring me other colors to paint my nail instead. Horrible Service! I've been here twice, both times to get a manicure and a pedicure. The service seems to be getting worse and worse by the day. I expected way better after reading the stellar reviews, however, the owner Lucy has absolutely no manners. The first time they were okay but the second time Lucy, the owner was unbelievably and inappropriately rude. I don't believe I have interacted with somebody as rude as Lucy. I had an appointment for 1:30 pm on July 2nd, which was just before the 4th of July holiday. I was there in time for my appointment. They appeared to be overbooked. They had more clients compared to the number of personnel. Hence, Lucy asked me to wait. It turned out I waited for a half hour before an employee named Amy started my pedicure. Amy did a spectacular job with the pedicure. However, when it was time for me to switch stations and get my manicure Lucy yelled at Amy and asked her to work on someone else's pedicure. Lucy asked me to wait. At this point, I was frustrated because I was getting late for another appointment. So I ended asking her how long I had to wait. Lucy told me about a half hour. I couldn't wait any longer because of my next appointment so I told her I had to leave. But Lucy ended up charging me for the pedicure as well as the manicure that I didn't end up getting. When I told her to refund the money I did n't end up getting the manicure, she refused to give me back my money. I asked her if I could come back the following day to get my manicure since I had already paid for it, she just kept yelling and said the manicure was only an additional $ 10. I don't believe a business should get away with treating a client this badly and charge them for a service they didn't provide. Needless to say, I will not go back to "Rose Beauty" Nails. read more

I tried most of the nail places in nearby area but this is the best, clean and neat you will find. It was my 1st time going to rose beauty nails. 1st impression was nice smiling nail artists, super clean environment. Marrisa did the regular manicure so wonderfully that I am not going to go anywhere else. She did a splendid job in cleaning the cuticles gently, giving a nice shape, putting warm shoulder bag for relaxation, hot lotion and hot stone massage as well. It took her and hour to just do a regular 12 dollars manicure. I am so impress with the service and the cleanliness. On top of that she gave my a shoulder massage while my nail color was drying. I've been going to Rose nails for about 4 years now. The inside is nothing fancy, but they always take their time and give the most thorough foot massages I've ever had getting a pedicure! This place is one of if not the BEST salon's I have been to in 20 years for acrylic nails. They did a beautiful job and are very reasonably priced. This nail salon is the best by all means! Not only are the prices wonderful, the customer service is excellent. I felt so welcomed by all the employees, and the worker who worked on me was so kind. Other nail salons just try to get you out as fast as they can and they don't think about interacting with the customers, but this nail salon cares about you as a person! I was so surprised at how wonderful and nice all the workers were to me. Not only that but they have so many wonderful services included in just a regular pedicure! They have a mud clay mask, scrub, hot lotion and hot stone, plus hot towel and a 5 minute massage and finally the paraffin wax which is so delightful!! They also put paraffin wax on your hands as a special service in the winter! Other nail salons only give you this service if you were to get a manicure or a nail service done, but this place gives it to you even if you just get a pedicure done. Their prices are $30 for a pedicure and $35 for manicure+pedicure. I highly recommend this place to everyone! This is a nail salon that is more than a nail salon.
