Nancy did the homework to identify an alternative pilot assembly replacement for the discontinued one. Corey (clearly an experienced and skilled technician) came out to do the repair, worked around some problem issues, communicated well, and fixed it--all for a fair price. He was meticulous about cleanup leaving the fireplace and immediate surroundings cleaner than before. While their service backlog was a month, the knowledgeable, efficient service was well worth the wait.

I should say this seems indicative of a recent trend in advertising on the part of local retailers: send coupons or offers to someone's home only to have the customer find out upon arrival sorry we don't take that coupon or sorry that's out of stock or we don't carry that item etc the old bait and switch routine get someone in your store with a free offer or coupon offer and then offer up excuses when the customer wants to redeem the offer. Needless to say I did contact Ace's corporate offices as they're the ones who sent the coupon the local store didn't but they were no help they say store is independently owned and operated so they can make their own policies about whether or not they want to accept our coupons. I've had to run up here many times to grab a plumbing part or another piece of hardware. As far as their services, I've had keys made and paint mixed. We also purchase our lawn fertilizer here each year and bags of topsoil for any yard or lawn repairs along with grass seed etc. Their deck stains are another item we buy when it's time to spruce up the color of the deck. It's a handy store indeed and whether it's spring, summer, winter or fall- the nicely laid out aisles and seasonal department usually have what we need. From small items to large, they have you covered and if it saves a trip to the big box stores, then you've saved yourself some time as well. The store is always neat and clean which is always something I notice when entering any establishment and that speaks volumes that they care about their customers.
