Nurses were not attentive. They had only one CNA doing all the work for the patients. Very disorganized.

I was so grateful because I was in great pain. All levels of staff were so kind and helpful. I got 3 nice meals a day, showers, plus nursing care checking surgical woulds. There were nurses, social workers and physical therapists. I was truly impressed. Rooms nice and comfortable, with nice beds anf television. I went to hospital unable to walk. The Physical and Occupational therapist spent time with me daily, and was able to walk by the time I left. They had a doctor there I really liked. I was pain-free as my hip healed. The doctor was so nice and did all he could to make me well. The CNA 's were number one key to helping me, giving me encouragement and made me feel better each day. If it hadn't been for nurse Anna who did daily help for me each day. I would have had a harder time to go on to learn to walk again. I was impressed with this nursing facility. I would go there again if I have anither surgery. Nice place for healing and rest. Loved the staff. I highly recommend this place to get good care and heal.

Deanna and the ladies are so caring and very compassionate, they really care about the residents. My mom passed away this morning after 4 years and if it wasn't for the consistency of Deanna and her team I would have moved my mother to another facility long ago because of the rent increases imposed by the head office, but I didn't want my mom to lose Deanna and her team because they make it a loving, caring environment. They are also professional, empathetic and available, (they are totally relatable) which is so important when your loved one is going through something like this. A special thanks to all of you at Generations at Bellemar.

I spent over three weeks there. The Pros: Every patient has their own room. Super friendly and helpful staff. Physical and Occupational therapy were available and I credit the physical therapist with getting me up and walking again. They helped manage my pain, not just by giving medicine I didn't want but by giving me hot and cold compresses. A nurse and CNA were assigned to each shift. On the wall was a dry erase board that displayed where you were, the names of the nurse and CNA , and the day and date. The staff put on fresh gloves every time they entered the room. I was offered three showers a week but told I could have more if I wanted them. The Cons: You cannot turn on or off the light - you have to call staff. In an institutional setting people often have problems with the food. This was a problem for me - probably more than others because of food allergies and foods I just won't eat. They have a menu and they offer alternatives to the menu. That said, they need their cooking staff to have more training on different kinds of diets, ie diabetic, fat free, low sodium etc. I had it in my records that I am allergic to all fruit. Right up till I left there was fruit at every meal, either in the food or the drink. They would come in, almost every day, to discuss the offerings for the day. They did try to comply with my needs and wants but they were limited to the food on hand. My husband often brought me lunch. I could not find any food establishments that would deliver that far out although I did get Amazon to deliver.

He is friendly, caring and actually wants you happy and healthy. I never feel rushed and he is a great listener. In 2009 I obtained APL Leukemia. I was transferred to Kaiser Sunset and was assigned to Dr Roberto Rodriguez. I couldn't have gotten a better oncologist!! I actually got a second opinion from outside Kaiser. And that doctor who I saw looked puzzled and asked why I was seeing her. I simply said, well it's a terrible illness and would just like a second opinion to make sure I am getting the best care possible. She smiled and told me that she has already dug through all my treatment notes and assured me that I was getting the best care possible. Then added, the reason why I was confused was because Dr Rodriguez was my teacher oncologist!! And she also added that he is "the go to doctor for all leukemia cancer questions. Not just California but in the entire United States. There is nobody better than he!" Wow! That made me feel a lot better!! Lancaster Community Hospital (closed now-it's now Palmdale Regional) doctors told me that I "had only a 30-40% chance of surviving. That's before I was transferred to Kaiser Sunset and was seen and hospitalized by Dr Rodriguez. When I told him what the other doctor said from Lancaster Community, he was shocked and disappointed that these doctors told me that. Dr Rodriguez said, "Kevin, I can assure you that you will be walking out of this hospital on your own free well and you will be either completely in remission or on your way there!" And he was correct! I was hospitalized for three months and got an infection. This caused me to return back and had to stay for another two months. But I have been in remission since 2010. Just like he said, I walked out in remission!! I say all this to tell you that the front line of doctor's can be difficult to find one that works well with you. But keep trying. But the second line which I refer to them as are the specialists and I have found that each one is really good at what they specialize in. I have had PPO's as well as HMO's... and I wouldn't want to have any other medical insurance. They can be pushy about the flu shot and other vaccines. But they have even gotten better at the high pressure with that now. So I would recommend Kaiser to someone that was looking for a health care provider.
