My Mom was a resident at Prestige Assisted living until her death in 2021 . Since then I have been volunteering and giving back to a place that was so wonderful to my Mom . Recently it has changed hands and is now called Bellamar . I have watched the easy transition and I am very happy to see the same loving and efficient care to all the residents. The staff is caring and devoted to making the residents feel loved and at home . The decision to move to assisted living is very hard . The staff and atmosphere help in this transition. My family realized that although our parents were very healthy and living independently in their rural mountain home of 30 years; it was becoming too much for them to care for. We wanted to move them to a place that was closer to us and where they could still feel they were living independently but have help with daily care, if they needed it. My parents were in their 90's!! As the years they lived at the assisted living facility went by, they needed more and more care. (Prestige) now BELLAMAR adjusted to their level of care needs seamlessly. What we liked mostly was that the staff genuinely loved our parents. Our parents loved them back!!! One year ago my mom suddenly passed away. Now, a year later at age 97 my dad passed. Our last years with our folks were wonderful because we knew they were well taken care of by competent care givers who REALLY cared!! The facility was clean, the food was delicious, and they helped out medical appointments and transportation. They have fun social gatherings where my parents met new friends. Sadly, my dad's last days were in hospice care. He could not make his rounds at social events. The Staff checked on him and truly cared for him hourly before he left this Earth. I can't say enough great things about BELLAMAR!! I highly recommend this assisted living facility!! read more

I wish I could give them a zero star rating. Legal papers in hand stop my aunt from having contact with my grandmother, these people not only allowed my aunt into a supposed locked facility for dementia patients but released my grandmother to my aunt This cased financial cost as everyone's lawyers had to be involved again. I wish I could have brought charges up against these people but all my money went to my lawyers. Thanks to the stress you caused my mother has had medical issues. Never leave a loved one with this group of fake individuals who pretend to care but are just after your money. read more

I can't stress enough how exceptional the staff is at this facility. Through all the stress of not being able to visit our mom due to the COVID 19 quarantine, they have kept us informed almost daily as things are changing so rapidly, via personal phone calls and their website. They are doing way more than the expected safety and cleaning - keeping track of our grocery deliveries for mom, helping her change a battery in a device, collecting her mail and sending it to me, communicating with doctors to reschedule appointments, providing phone accessibility for residents without landlines to communicate with loved ones, buying games and puzzles for residents to help ease the boredom since they cannot have outside entertainment at this time, and I'm guessing so much more! Thank you, thank you for making my mom and our family feel like she is the only resident you have with your special care! read more

I'm giving them two stars only because the staff that took care of my mother were good to her and were doing the best they can. My 97 year old mother was at Prestige for almost one year. We thought that she was well taken care of, but have found out that was not the case. We went in to move her home recently. This is what we found. Her hair was a mess. It was tangled and in huge knots in the back. It had not been washed in weeks, at least. Supposedly they cleaned her single apartment weekly. When we went in to move her back home we found many things that were disgusting. She had a Keurig coffee maker that had never been cleaned. The water reservoir had black slime growing in it. The drip tray was full of some kind of slime and mold. She had a blender there that was filthy. Her refrigerator had numerous cartons of milk that were dated back to before Covid started. A carton of milk was in the freezer and was so covered in ice that you couldn't tell what it was. Her toilet chair was filthy, and the clothes she was wearing were filthy and covered in stains. I attribute most of this to them not having enough staff on duty. There are more management people during the day than people there to care for their residents. From what I could tell they only had two aides there at a time during the day, and one aide at night to care for them. When you pay them to care for a family member they should actually care for them. When you pay for house cleaning they should actually clean and not just vacuum the floor and leave. My mother said she would call for help and most of the time no one came. At one point she was able to pack a bag, take her walker, and escape out a door. No one noticed that she was gone until she was quite a few blocks away and a man saw her and came to her aid. If he hadn't called who knows what could have happened to her. The aides try to do what they can, but they have cut their staff so much that they don't have time to actually do much for the residents. We paid for her to be cared for, but that didn't happen. I worry about the residents who are still there. read more

We placed my grandmother of 97 years old at the Lancaster facility. The staff was very welcoming. The staff really made her feel special too. I would have given another star except for the final closing of her time there. She was only 2 full days into the month of October 2016 and was taken to the emergency room that next morning. Sadly with her age and the test results she was not going to make it out. The staff was sooo understanding (We thought) and told us "Not to worry about hurrying over" to move out her belongings. Three of the nurses that took great care of her even came over to see her. Amazing! Sadly it was almost 5 days before she passed and on that day I went right over to pack her things to move out. They gave us a bill of almost $1100....For 2 DAYS!!?? Charging us for 7 days of care and 9 days of rent at Prestige!? I questioned the amount and told them that we were told "NOT TO WORRY" about rushing over!! It did not matter. I have called corporate to file a complaint too. Just a heads up if you have a loved one in Prestige in Lancaster Ca to NOT believe them if they tell you the same thing when going through a death. I am very sad that the closing of our relationship with this local facility had such a negative experience. read more
