Most of the hotels in the area were booked and we were lucky to find a room at this inn for a moderate price. The amenities are bare minimum - no TV, wifi only downstairs in the common area. But the place is kept clean and tidy. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and probably spend most of your time exploring the area/boardwalk - this is a great option. For oct (off peak season) we paid ~$85 for the room with taxes. You can find metered parking on most streets and if you're lucky to find a spot - this hotel is on a street where there is free/no metered parking. They provide towels and soap - just pick them up in the corner area to the side on every staircase. We had room 17 which was perfect for 2-3 people (double and single bed) with an attached bathroom. I don't believe all units have attached bathrooms so be sure to ask for one if you don't want to use a communal bathroom/shower. The beds and linens were ok - not the most comfortable but for one night it didn't matter. For check in and check out - just go through the front door and ring the bell for assistance. The sweet elderly lady whom I assume owns the property was very accommodating and nice. She even offered for us to come back after checkout to use the facilities to shower/clean up if we wanted to after the marathon.

For bed and breakfast lovers, it is perfect. Our host Nick was very hospitable and gracious and an excellent chef in the kitchen. The inn is elegant with an early 1900's flair. The room was vey quaint with a large comfortable bed. The dining room was very spacious with large windows that flood the room with light. Breakfast was delicious, with sweet cake, muffin, fruit, your choice of beverage and the main breakfast entree which varies from day to day. And to top it off, the Plymouth Inn is only one block from the boardwalk! For an extraordinary place to stay in Ocean City, NJ, I recommend the Plymouth Inn!!

Pros: - The location of the Inn is wonderful with a less than 2 minute walk to the beach and boardwalk. - The Inn provided us with parking and beach tags. - The Inn and rooms are very well maintained and clean. - We had our own private bath, TV, and refrigerator. - Restaurants are located within a 5-15 minute walk depending on what you feel like eating. - On the day of checkout, we were allowed to keep our parking spots and beach badges for the duration of the day until we left. And there are even outside showers, you could use to clean up before sadly bidding adieu to Ocean City. Cons: - For the small room we had, the rate we paid seemed steep. But given that it is peak tourist season, it seemed to be the going rate at the other smaller motels in the area as well. - They accept check or cash only and a 50% deposit by check prior to arrival. - It's been a long time since I wrote out a check for anything, but I gladly obliged and mailed the check. Unfortunately, I made the check out to "Osborne's Inn" (which would be the obvious choice) and once we arrived, I was told the check needed to be made out to Peggy Ann Osborne. I found it strange they could not cash a check made out to the Inn. In any rate, we had to hunt down a bank and withdraw the funds to cover the deposit.

Sealark would be a 3 based on my other visits to other places. Regardless, I would definitely come back because the hotels in the area are too commercialized for me and there isn't a whole lot to choose from unless you score something on AirB&B. Sealark is much more like staying at home and in the neighborhood but still super close to the beach. Restaurants are in a blink of an eye driving distance. 96th street is about a 3-5 minute drive. I stayed in Loft number 8, which was the highest room in the house and attic style. Steep stairs all the way up but a great workout! The other rooms were sold out so this is was what I went for. I really didn't mind though. The loft shares a sun or picnic area styled deck and one layout chair (better if they had 2...could be a fire hazard?). It's really simple and a nice add-on to have easy access from the loft. The room was long and skinny with a living room area, HDTV, bedroom, mini kitchen and bathroom. AC was on full blast. Good for the husband, bad for the wife but an extra blanket really helped keep me cozy. The ability to cook and have privacy were the pluses for this room. The bedroom didn't have a tv, just the living room and there is great wifi access. There were plenty of windows, a wall full of basic artwork and it was a perfect size for 2 people to have space. The downfall was that it wasn't fancy by any means. I really didn't mind and that's why I would come back, however I could see how someone would be disappointed if they had much higher expectations. The room had a lot of original features since the house was old. I loved the wooden door with old school locks. A few dusty areas but nothing to gripe about. The breakfast was come and go starting at 9 am. It was perfect for us and saved on going out of our way to find a restaurant. My husband and I had the quiche, bread, fruit and the homemade cake. They also offer coffee, water, tea, and OJ. All of it was a treat! Kudos, to the chef for the quiche and cake. The porch out front was another plus. It wraps around and has a few glider chairs. We both loved talking outside and sharing a few drinks. At 11am check out the innkeeper said that we were welcome to come back and use the outdoor shower (post beach) and for a $25 cash deposit we could use the beach tags. Returnable: 90%

We stayed on the 1st floor and awoke to coffee and danish each morning always accompanied with smiles. Highly recommend this quaint, cozy, and comfortable establishment compared to the over-priced alternatives nearby. And so very close to the boardwalk and all of Ocean City's attractions. Jennifer, the Innkeeper, was so welcoming and she had never had a bunny stay but I must say she warmed up to him right away. Our bunny frolicked to his hearts content in the yard attached to our apartment. Our bed was fantastic...we slept better than ever. Then we had an awesome breakfast and, of course, we ate too much! We ended up staying an extra night and might have stayed another night but the Inn was booked for the weekend. Too bad for us. We are planning on a week stay this fall.
