This is a small little shop. It's about bedroom size. It's packed though.all kinds of small stuff. Most of it Is rose themed. They have rose tea yes and other rose foodstuffs. They also have stuff with roses on them. Things like tea cups and mugs. There are thirst and umbrellas and hats. All with roses. There are decorations for your garden. All of my his is presided over by volunteers. They are always friendly. They offer you a small cup of the rose tea when you enter. They will hold people's choices at the desk so they can continue to browse. Yes people find that much. At least my mom does. I like to think I could get though any shop this size in just a couple of minutes. My mother takes about half an hour. Pouring over all the inventory. There is not many shops so perfectly stocked for her. She goes for the pastels and passes the stronger colors. Getting cards to Sind her sister and a new thirty for around the house... In the end she walks away happy. There is always a big smile on her face. Even if it is to early in the season or to wet to wander the garden. For her the little shop is draw enough. The garden would be to on a nice summer day. Today though the roses were not yet blooming though the camellias were, huge shrubs the size of trees covered in blooms of while, red and pink. The flowering cherry trees were also blooming, but today we stayed up top. A few pics, we saw the daffodils and other bulbs. We took som pictures. The main thing was the shop. She would give it 5 stars and want a sixth star to give it. We will be back. When the roses are in bloom. Then, once again she will explore the store all over again.

Perfect location for souvenirs between the Japanese Rose Garden and the International Rose Test Garden! Great little shop that had what I was looking for: a unique item that screams Portland. What is this item, you ask? A Portland, Oregon coffee mug in the shape of a flower pot with a rose on it. Score!! I also picked up a magnet cause I do that sort of thing when I travel. I'd definitely check this place out on your way out.

While this was a very tiny store, they did supply plenty of rose related items. Of course outside they had potted roses, fakes roses and rose growing kits. Inside they had a nice variety of touristy type gifts. Perfumes, candles, soaps, shirts, hats, umbrellas, books, and food items. All with roses. I ended up getting a lovely candle, rose of course, some taffy with roses on it, but didn't taste like roses, and the cutest baby onesie with roses on it. All moderately priced too!

One of the best places to experience beauty, wonderful smells and inner peace. The different kinds, smells and colors are an artwork in each rose itself. I simply cannot take a bad picture here: it's impossible. The view of Portland is magnificent from the top stairs as well. And the store has a great selection of touristy (but different) stuff to take home, and the prices vary. The location of the Rose Garden in the middle of Washington Park gives the feeling of being in Italy, or France, from the drive up to the huge, ancient pines right before you enter. Today we are blessed with a harpist, who adds a flavor of medieval enjoyment and music as an extra layer. Parking is ample but difficult on the weekends--all Portlandian tourists are hanging out here.

Your purchase will probably come in this bag.

This store could be a lot bigger and have actual flower supplies, seeds, etc like a few people mentioned, but I think it's completely fine. They have the usual magnets/postcards/etc at a high but not incredibly terrible price. And I don't mind paying more because the place is completely staffed by volunteers. Their shirts could be cooler but come on, it's a rose garden. My only hope is that most of their supplies/little kinck knacks are local.

Love the Rose Gardens! Such a lovely place to meander around, enjoying the lovely roses and greenery.

My husband proposed here, so this will always be a special spot for us. We love coming here and enjoy meandering around the gardens and will sometimes bring a lunch to have a picnic.

Great little store! Portland themed ephemera and a squished penny machine too! Lovely place to visit and grab a postcard or some rose scented treasures.

The old lady at the cashier were extremely rude. She seems to be still struggling with her teenage type anger management...

I know it's on a street of great…read morebougie shops but this one is charm upon charm: it's like walking into a grown-up candy store and finding wrapped bonbons that you want to try -- chocolates that are milk and dark -- all kinds of extraordinary flavors wrapped like truffles. Cherry cordials, pear cordials, apple cordials in chocolates. Caramel chocolates, chocolate caramels. Thing is it's hard for not to love the store because it has three of my favorite things: 1. chocolate: shelves and shelves of unique artisan chocolates made with skill and care from all over the world. 2. And salt -- am a VERY big fan of picking up local salts whenever one is traveling -- including actual blocks and blocks of Himalayan salt stacked. Not imitation but the real stuff. They even have fresh popcorn for you to taste the truffle salt with. 3. Lastly they have fresh cut flowers. It's like a florist and you can create your own bouquets. Beautiful specimens with structure and freshness. I have to say they also have bottles and bottles of bitters -- crafted bitters. King Floyd chief among them. The staff person was super helpful. She was kind and educational about many things.

Smaller selection of pantry items, small bags of pasta with their name, and hot sauces. Also a few books books, focusing on salts, bitters and cocktails, of course! I've purchased some of the Maldonado finishing salt, and it absolutely makes a difference. Never use these salts as an ingredient, it's used to sprinkle on meats, veggies, potatoes, right before serving. Awesome on chocolate cookies. They even sell small containers for salt, known as salt cellars, so you can keep your favorite salt in your purse in case your restaurant meal is lacking that little something extra. They refill for life, for the tiny ones only. I enjoy checking out this store when I'm in the area or when looking for a gift for one of my foodie friends. I'd buy more, but the prices are very high, especially the pasta and chocolate. I can't rationalize $12-15 for a chocolate bar that I'll eat in one sitting. Maybe I'm the problem, maybe one bar is supposed to last for many servings!

One of Portland's home decor/gift stores, you'll find a lot of unique crafted concoctions such as their hand-made pillows, socks, baby unis, gift mugs, books, and other interesting collectibles. We bought a couple stickers here to commerorate our time visiting Portland. My girlfriend also bought a children's forest book for her nephew who enjoyed it. He mentioned he wants to visit Portland with us next time and I concur. Worth a visit due to the unique items, cleanliness, and welcoming vibes. Keeping Portland weird, yet interesting!

While I didn't purchase anything form the store, it is cute and if you are looking for local unique (both fun and practical) items as gift for someone while visiting Portland or a gift to bring back home to someone or to ship something from home, this is a great little store. They have a number of Pacific North West, Oregon and National Park themed items available. They had pillows, games, books, candles, glasses and a variety of adult and PNW branded children / babies clothes as well. What I found most appealing was the local card and unique wrapping paper section, which I will definitely come back, browse and purchase from myself. Oh - I am also a fan of stickers and they had the best selection I've seen here in Portland to date! After I did a bit more research on the store when I got home, I discovered that the store was named after the owners two (2) rescue dogs ~ "they represent to use that essence of comfortable den home, not too fussy and full of life!" I am a huge rescue dog fan and this made me smile and have even a great affinity for making recommendations to friends, near or far, to check them out. The website describes the store as "the ideal shop should offer unique nad well-designed products at affordable prices - in an inviting, approachable, relaxed atmosphere.."

Fabulous gift shop selling good from local artists…read more I have to admit I underestimated this shop from the outside. I had walked past it countless times walking up and down 23rd, but finally decided to stop in when I was looking for a gift for my partner's mom. I was not disappointed, and this shop has something for everyone, not just middle aged moms. Not only did I find the perfect gift and card, I bought a few things to take home for myself. The quality and craftsmanship of the items here is really impressive. From the paper quilled greeting cards, to the pottery, to the hand carved wooded fountain pens, I was in awe at the level of talent displayed in this store. It's really well decorated (with emphasis on the current season) and there is eye candy everywhere you look. I really wish I had taken more pictures because the two I took just do not do this place justice. My favorite part of the store was the "toppings bar", a cute little nook filled with ribbons and cute gift tags to add the perfect finishing touch to any wrap job. Bottom line: If you are looking for a gift, or just something festive for your holiday decor or table setting, this is a great place to consider.
