Our condo association wants to use Rose to eradicate a rodent issue in my unit. The rodent is in the ceiling of my unit and is active only when it's very cold outside. Rose wants to set a trap now (in July) and come back and check it twice, which to me makes no sense. Also, it's very unclear if sealing up the rodent entry point is included in Rose's proposal. Rose's manager was extremely rude and condescending when I tried to get clarification from him. He just kept berating me and said he was going to close out the work order and tell the condo association that I refused to have the work done, all because I wanted to know what the work entailed. I don't want our condo association and co-owners to waste money. Based on the other review (by Stephanie D.) about the squirrel in the ceiling, I think I dodged a bullet. read more

They service the apartment building I live in. (Woodcraft Square) They also are sincerely the worst part of living here. They always want us waiting at 10:00 am for them. They're normally late today they weren't in the building till 10:06. It's now 10:45 and they haven't reached my apt. This isn't uncommon at all. Just an all around tedious and inconvenient. They put no effort into punctuality at all, and then they invade your personal space. read more

I purchased a business from another owner and it just happened that their service person came in on the day we were remodeling and all of our merchandise was away from the Floor so there was no way for the guy to basically spray the area because our flooring was getting done, we asked them to come back and they said he would have to call his manager so he did. We asked him if we can. Please have the service guy come back because it's impossible for us to have them spray the floors are going to be Grinding cause we are playing Epoxy Flooring so the manager says no you still have to pay for the service call and as a new owner I was very disappointed and thought that they should've compromised once since I was not aware of them even servicing the account so I was not happy with their management I won't blame that on the service person but definitely management is terrible. read more

Amazing in every respect! The only business we called that didn't wayyy over-quote amount of treatment and cost -- they scaled it to exactly what we needed for a very minor infestation. Yes, Virginia -- there IS such a thing as a minor bedbug infestation. No, you do not need to heat up your entire residence to a million degrees the moment you find a single bedbug. Rose's went to great lengths to calm us down, providing plenty of factual info about how bedbugs behave and how to get rid of them, and proceeded to do so in 2 quick visits involving only minor spot treatment with some minor decluttering prep and the pricing was reasonable. I had Rose Pest come out today through a complaint I sent into my condo association about some carpenter ants. They gave me a window initially, but Paige texted me the night before letting me know she would be here around 10, which gate me a great indicator of when to expect them. She arrived right on time the next time, too! She was super thorough, walked through and examined all areas of our basement + main floor where I was seeing the ants. Paige was super friendly and informative, and fast! The inside took maybe 15 minutes, and she went outside to finish the job. She sprayed everywhere and saturated all areas to prevent future bugs. We were concerned about the chemicals with our pest and she informed us of all safety precautions. Within a half hour, she was done! Super nice, awesome service. Will definitely tell others about Rose + request Paige again in the future! read more

Great communication, did a good job assisting in identifying pest issues and how to correct them on the initial visit. On the application visit again great communication, well informed and did a thorough walk through and discussion of access points and types of pests. Applied primarily outside treatments with some in crawl spaces and rodent bait traps in house. Very reasonable price, we've subscribed for the annual treatment. read more

I had a squirrel in my house that had taken up residence in my basement ceiling. Rose came right away and set a couple large "mouse" traps which the squirrel set off and made off with the bait almost immediately after they left. They came back a few days later with the same actions and result. They set some traps, as soon as they left, the squirrel ate their bait and hid. The next day I chased the squirrel down myself, threw a blanket over him and trapped him with a plastic bin. I got the top on it and transported him outside and let him go. Rose won't stop billing me the $214 for this service. You'd think I'd get a discount for doing ALL the work??? read more

I worked with Justin at Rose Pest to block squirrels from getting in through the roof and various holes in this 90 year old house. Justin was attentive, polite, honest, and communicative. He saw that we had already set traps so instead of trying to sell us more traps, he provided advice on the best bait to use and where to place the traps we had. Once he found holes in the house, he plugged them and then texted a few days later and then once a week for a few weeks to see if we were hearing anymore scratching noises. It's been 4 months and so far, no scratching and sign of squirrels. I would definitely ask Justin and Rose Pest back again. read more

OUTSTANDING SERVICE! I work for a builder and we had to have a termite bait system put in on one of our new construction homes. I called EVERY pest company in the metro Detroit area and further to find someone who could help (Orkin, terminix wouldn't). Then finally I found them. Right off the bat, they were very knowledgeable about the process and what needed to be done. They got the job done within a couple days (had to wait for Miss-dig) as soon as they got clearance from miss dig they were out the next day and finished the job! The office staff was quick to answer any questions or emails and got me all the documents right after service. I like this company. In the spring we had ants in the house and in a hollow tree. Kelly came out, assessed the house, and presented the options for spraying. In the end, we only sprayed the house from the outside. The problem resolved. Fast forward to this summer, when I noticed some wood coming out from around 2 windows. I was worried that we had a resurgence of carpenter ants, now with wood damage. Kelly's partner came out and assessed & it is water damage, not ants. There was no charge for the visit even though we are not on a plan but pay-as-you-go. I am happy and would recommend the company based on my experience. We will use them as needed! read more

I'm pretty certain that this company is not educated in pest management. They miss appointments, make high estimates for essentially what anyone can do on their own by purchasing some spray at a hardware store, and charge absurd amounts. They also describe the exact same form of treatment for any pest - that which is most expensive. I had a terrible smell coming from walls/attic and suspected a dead animal so wanted Rose's to take a look. The older gentleman did a quick walk around the property and said everything was in order. I was exasperated as I had waited four hours for him and he didn't even mention the two holes I had noticed where critters were coming and going. I asked him if he would like to take a look at the attic and he replied, "I really don't like to go in attics." After he left and did nothing, I called Rose's to speak to a supervisor. I own a number or rental houses, so that's how this review is based off of. One of our houses has been rented out to the same tenant for the past 6+ years without issues relating to bugs or pests. Recently, this tenant mentioned that they have bed bugs in one bedroom and asked for advise on who to contact. I noticed Rose Pest Solutions had some issues with scheduling conflicts and mix-ups, so I gave them a pass and decided to use them. When the rep showed up at this rental, he provided legal advise to this tenant and told her, "it's the landlord's responsibility to eliminate bed bugs". If this tenant has been living in said house for the past 6+ years, and bed bugs suddenly show up inside the house, how or why is it the landlord's responsibility?!?! Furthermore, he queried whether or not the landlord had been in the house recently for any reason (I was---to fix a small paint stain on the living rooms ceiling). The nerve of this guy to automatically assume that the landlord is the one at fault and should take care of everything. If this was an apartment complex, I may understand if neighboring rooms may have had bed bugs that moved into someone's apartment, but this is a single family housing unit (one house). If you own buildings, I'd recommend that you keep away from this company and work with one that has ethical values! read more
