This place was regrettably recommended to us by an acquaintance that I, for one, will NEVER get recommendations from again. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. Yes, I'm yelling but I need to explain why. Let me start by giving the pros because that's probably fair. The location is located in Riverview, which was convenient. The staff INSIDE the building were very kind. The gentleman that I did the MRI's with was funny, personable and put me at ease. The office itself is slightly small but there weren't many people there any of the times I went. (I understand why - NOW.) They were also able to get me multiple appointments very quickly. Now, here's my story, along with the cons and how they can and unfortunately will destroy someone's life one day if these practices are not fixed. I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis since 2016. I have approximately 20 lesions in my brain so annually, I am required to get MRI's on my brain, c-spine, thoracic spine and my lumbar spine. With and without contrast for all of them. Any other office that I've ever been to for the scans, to include hospitals, Florida Medical Clinic, Tower Radiology, etc, have taken approximately 4 hours for all the MRI's, spread over multiple days. My entire spine has been clear of lesions, and I have not had any new or active lesions in my brain for years. I have a high sensitivity to MS drugs, so I am on the least dangerous one out there since it basically doesn't have any side effects. If I were to have new lesions, I would be subjected to trying 1 of 3 different MS drugs that would suppress my immune system and potentially cause irreversible damage, not limited to death. Now, the cons. First, when you call them at any time, you get a call center and most of the time, the representatives don't understand what you're asking, what you need or even who you are. One representative thought that I was a physician from my insurance company calling for a peer-to-peer conversation to approve the MRI's. Another time the person thought that I was calling to cancel my MRI that was the same day. I understand that it's cheaper to hire call center reps from other countries, however, with regards to medical services, patients don't want to have to repeat what they need over and over and argue with reps to get the information correct. Secondly, during my first MRI there, which was for my entire spine, I was in the machine for close to 2 hours. When I got out, I went to the dressing room to get dressed and collect my things. As I'm about to leave, the gentleman tells me that he must retake the thoracic spine MRI because "the machine didn't get it," and "that happens sometimes." I was a nervous wreck to begin with being in the machine for that long but then I had to do it again for part of the images. I was annoyed, not at him, but at the facility for having a machine that "sometimes acts up" and doesn't take the images. Then, when I went back the following week for my brain MRI that typically takes at least an hour any other time I've had it done, I was done in less than 30 mins. Now, I'm sure people would love that, however I was immediately concerned because I did not feel that the images would show what they needed. Apparently, it wasn't the images that I needed to be concerned with. It was the radiologist that read the MRI's. When my doctor received the reports, the brain MRI simply stated, "scattered lesions in the brain." We rely on the radiologists to actually count how many lesions there are to see if I've had any new ones pop up over the past year. THEN came the c-spine report. The radiologist listed that I had a lesion on my c-spine. That meant that I would now have to decide which medicine I wanted to switch to. Each one with varying degrees of potential negative impacts to my health and to my life. My doctor sent me home and stated that she would have her radiologist review the discs to get a more accurate idea of what we are dealing with. I went home and researched and had multiple discussions with family about the medications. We came up with an idea of what we wanted to try but I was heartbroken because my MS was considered unstable again and who knows what type of damage had occurred to my body this time and what rollercoaster I was about to be on with a medication change. A few days later my doctor called me and stated that nothing had changed in my brain and that I in fact did not have any new lesions on my spine. My spine was clear of any lesions. I was so thankful yet so furious that this whole time I was thinking that I was dealing with a new lesion, and my life was going to change drastically because of an inept radiologist. This whole experience screamed "bad news" from the very beginning. I should have listened to my intuition. Beware to anyone that still chooses to use this location for MRI imaging. I truly hope that my experience was a "one off," but I fear that it wasn't. If you choose to still get your images here read more

I have serious mixed emotions. They fit me in anytime I have needed them. The staff is kind, the self pay prices are reasonable. However, after receiving a mammogram with some very concerning results, a tumor with a 95% chance of being cancer, they sent me a letter congratulating me on my clear mammogram. The letter goes on to say that I don't need to do anything, just come back next year for my annual mammogram. I had a biopsy of the mass yesterday. I still do not know if it's cancer, but I do know they put lives at serious risk with what I assume is a potentially fatal clerical error. I have informed corporate and tweeted at them. Who likes having Ct scans? Or mri's? Or mammograms? None of those are on my favorite list; however, Rose Radiology in Riverview can make it tolerable, not fun, easier than you thought. Very clean office, state of the art equipment and extremely nice staff that truly cares about the patients. My veins are tiny, rolling and usually make the phlebotomist and me very uneasy. This young lady was incredible! I usually look like a bad junkie after a procedure that involves vein, but not this time! You can't even see where the needle went in! She's careful, kind and explains every single step of what she is doing. Would I go back? If I have to, yes. read more

Thanks God I was able to schedule my mammogram for next week with another provider so I won't lose my yearly screening. Had to schedule prenatal ultrasound here per the request of my midwives. Was told I had to show up alone, couldn't have my husband, but when I arrived there were multiple people that were accompanied by someone else and a woman who had her husband and her awful smelling dog in a stroller. Confused as to why a dog was allowed? My appointment was 12:45 and I wasn't called back til after 1:30. Was also required to wear a mask, yet none of their front desk staff had one on. The waiting room was super crowded, didn't seem to have any social distancing guidelines in affect other than a mask. The restroom was dingy at best. I unfortunately have 3 more of these same appointments scheduled in the next three weeks and will certainly ask my dr for alternatives. read more

Rose Radiology Center - Smelly dog in waiting room - Radiologists Near Me - Riverview, Florida

I had a 4pm appointment and showed up 15 minutes early. Did my paper work and sat down. 2 people came in after me and were seen BEFORE me. When I acquired what was taking so long, ideas told that my appointment was at 440 pm. Then ,when I showed the receptionist my appointment card that clearly say 4pm, I get this dumbfounded look of her not knowing what to say. What is the point of making an appointment if the are just going to see you when ever they want any way? Is my time not important? This is completely unprofessional and no one should have to endure the disrespect that this place shows to someone. They did nothing what so ever to rectify this situation. Its 500pm right now and I am STILL sitting in this cold ass lobby!! If you like not being cared about and having your time not matter then this is the place for you. If I could give no stars I would. Rose radiology has been great for me! Easy to schedule and reschedule. They have been super sweet to me despite my constant rescheduling. I have been in twice and they are prompt and everyone there is sweet. Only issue is that they give you images on a cd, but I don't have a computer with a cd holder. Soooo I don't know how to get my images. A digital file would be much better. read more

We went to Rose Radiology located in Riverview, FL. It was a horrible experience. The CT technician failed to give ear plugs for the CT scan that caused exacerbation of disabilities. He said that we had to deal with it [noise] even though the facility was put on notice of disabilities. In violation of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), they failed to provide reasonable accommodations for the CT scan. The front office told us we had to complete forms standing in front of them, so they "can see us fill them out and sign them", but this location did not give these orders to the other patients who were allowed to peacefully sit down and fill out forms. Then, front office failed to return our IDs so we had to travel back to have them finally return our IDs. We emailed Dr. Rose about our shocking experience with the location in Riverview, FL, but to date Dr. Rose has not replied to our email. read more

I have been to other diagnostic centers but this was my first trip here because my new primary care physician recommended them for an MRI. From my first phone call to schedule my appointment I could sense high customer service. I arrived right on time due to some traffic problems I encountered and they were very understanding as I needed to fill out a bunch of paperwork. The changing areas afforded you locked lockers for your personal items and the rooms were clean. The MRI tech was very friendly and explained the procedure well. The MRI machine is so noisy they give you headphones but the sound level was so low you couldn't hear the music and the MRI noise was pretty annoying. Not much can be done I am sure but the headphones could have been turned up more. All in all I would definitely use this diagnostic testing center again compared to the others I have used this one is way better. read more

I didn't not like the way the mammogram tech behaved. She cared more about insurance coverage than doing her job and refused to contact my drs office when I pointed out that I should have a diagnostic test to look at a spot that had been found. I had a CT scan of the face back in October 23 at the Wesley chapel office. On the day of they insisted I pay $50 when I knew it's covered at a 100%. My insurance did cover it at a 100% but It's been 2 months now and I still haven't gotten a refund for my money. I called 8 days ago and they said yes they owe me a refund and will process it. I called again today and billing tells me it takes 4 to 8 weeks to process a refund. It's already been over 8 weeks and they were so fast at demanding their money but there's no rush paying people back their money. read more

I want to say the technicians are great, but the inconsiderate person who was almost one hour late for their appointment should have been made to reschedule. It threw every appointment off by over an hour. Sitting in a confined space waiting with several other patients who were inconvenienced by this person, especially during a time when we have to wear a mask was wrong. My family of 4 have been going to Rose Radiology for tests for more than 20 times for past few years, never waited extremely long time with appointments, usually 30 minutes to an hours we were able to get out of the door, I had couple times with Tower Radiology, never get out of the door without waiting 2 to 3 hours after appointment times. I've been to Rose Radiology a couple of times and honestly I never really had any issues here. First and foremost I chose this place and location because it is literally 2 mins. from my house. The convenience was and still is, key. I've had x-rays before in my day, started out with x-rays here. Fast forward a couple of months and my chiropractor office ordered an MRI at my request (long story). Both times I have been here I was able to get an appointment the same day I called, they squeezed me in. Office staff seems nice, not as pleasant over the phone as they are in person but definitely not rude or anything. Waiting rooms seems to have plenty of seating. Wait wasn't that long even though there were a lot of people there. Changing rooms have lockers with keys that you can put everything in. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms are convenient to the changing rooms and some bathrooms are the changing rooms. Both the x-ray tech and MRI tech were very kind. Explained everything well. MRI machine is horribly loud-annoying and nerve wrecking. Maybe that's how they al are, not sure as this was my first MRI. They offer some crappy headphones to help tune out the sound but unfortunately the sound the machine makes drowns the music out when it should be the other way around. The MRI tech was nice enough to ask me if I wanted a towel over my eyes so I do not have to stare at the machine-of course I said yes. The MRI tech kept me updated during testing, made me internally chuckle because he sounded like a fair ride operator lol. Results do not take long, some docs can access them online and order/pick up of the results was extremely prompt (for this I went to the South Tampa location). The only thing I didn't care for was the billing department. I handed over my insurance info and they still directly billed me when it should've gone to USAA (motor vehicle accident)-every doctor I've seen has sent it directly to them except Rose. Not sure why. Overall there's really not much to complain about here. It's a radiology place, the people are nice and it doesn't take a million years to be seen or get results. read more

Made an appointment for my wife and myself the same day. Claimed my appointment was for the following day but they said they would work me in. Four hours later they claimed the were too busy. Manager was rude and employees were not helpful at all. It's just a typical accident case slum shop wanting to make a buck. They facility was not sanitary, lobby was like a 3rd world country. This place is totally INCOMPETENT! I was supposed to have a mammogram and ultrasound months ago and they had no ultrasound tech and rescheduled me twice for ultrasound portion of the test. They lost my script for ultrasound and I had my doctor refax it to them. They had my script for ultrasound for at least a month before my appointment and when I show up they say there's a problem with it. Well I was 9 mins late for appt and it took them 20 mins to figure it out and blame me for being late after I accommodated them for months to reschedule me an appointment because they have no staff available. At this point, Yolanda (the manager) told me I could wait until they can "squeeze me in" and meanwhile there were only 2 people in the entire office waiting and doubtful both there for ultrasound! I have been to this location other tomesand the actual mammogram techs were nice but I will never go here again because of the poor customer service and totally incompetence. read more

I had to visit Rose Radiology this morning for a CT scan. I was thoroughly impressed. The front office staff was awesome. They were pretty busy but they got patients taken care of right away. The associate helping me was very friendly. I had never had any types of scans before so she explained everything. She also noticed there was another test on the order from my doctor that I had overlooked. She immediately got me scheduled for that test too. I was very nervous. The staff member who took me to the back helped ease my nerves. She made small talk and told me not to worry. I only had to wait a few minutes for the tech. She was also very nice and explained to me exactly what was going to happen. She got me all set and I was in and out of the machine in a just a few minutes. She even told me she would make me a copy of the scan if I wanted one. If you have to have any kind of scans done I highly recommend Rose Radiology. They made a scary situation for me not so scary. I am giving only "2 " stars because of a racist comment from a member of the staff in the Riverview location. The staff at the front office was very good and professional, even the staff member who took me to the back. When the technician was ready for me explained everything to me, he was very professional. When I walked out of the room, I had to wait a little bit because somebody was in the dressing room and I needed to change clothes. Here comes another technician calling for "Ms. Ramirez" for her test...nobody answered...but because I am Hispanic and I was standing there he assumed that I was "Ms. Ramirez"... even though I told him that I was not "Ms. Ramirez"...he started to tried to speak Spanish to me (very badly). Finally, Ms. Ramirez got out of the dressing room...Oh, there is Ms. Ramirez..and he said "THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME". I went to the front office to let them know about the racist comment from this employee that is working there. Later on I realized that he was the" Lead Technician"..... PLEASE, JOHN you need to keep your racist comments inside you and not show them to patients or customers. He probably assumed that I would not understand what he was saying. Learn to respect people and keep your nasty comments for yourself. He should not have contact with people...very, very unprofessional....what a shame that we still have people with such a mentality. read more
