It's a pretty wide open park, where you could run with a kite or play some ball. There's also a bike and jogging trail that runs around the park that runs about a half mile or so. There's some good sized trees around the perimeter of the park for shade, and a big shade over a playground. There are certainly places to get out of the sun around here. It's a nice park, with lots of parking. It's a family friendly place, but is only outfitted with port-a-potties. The park is lit at night, but they turn off the lights around 9:30p or so.

I've walked around a few times and the people are friendly, lots of trash cans and people seem to do a good job with cleaning up after their pets. Watch out after it rains, the dirt turns into clay and is real hard to get off your shoes.

This is also a great destination to view the sunrise or sunset skies and it is colorful with lots of nature. Lots of runners and walkers meet in the area in the mornings to do their daily miles. Bring a flashlight and a buddy if you workout in the earlier hours of the day or towards sunset. But great for families or your furry friends. One of which I had a run-in concerning his dog, which wasn't on a leash. This was in clear violation with posted rules and an infraction of city ordinance. Realizing I wasn't messing around, he quickly placed the dog on the bench next to him. Wise choice! One lady, who had her kids out playing in the kid's area, quickly thanked me. Beyond the incident, I actually enjoyed the park. It is bigger than it looks and offers quite a bit for those who choose to come out here. Other than needing a mowing, I thought the park was well-maintained and fairly clean. Definitely a win for me as I take on the day.

Bleh... what a gross park. (see pics)…read more Where do I begin? Most of the equipment is broken and/or has been basically abandoned and left to the ravages of elements. There's vulgar graffiti all over the playground equipment (which is apparently next to a hazardous area), lots of broken glass in the parking areas, people who just seem to randomly drive here and park....and you can tell that other then a quick mowing there is little in the way of landscaping. They've converted a large gated area of the park from two baseball areas (one at one time use to be a baseball field - I imagine) to a handful of small soccer areas (that's the only thing I think they could be, since there are bleachers in the outfield area facing each other). If they ever get the funding to repair this park, here are 3 suggested solutions that I think they need to consider. First, build pathways within the park (it seems to be keeping the vandalism down at Haltom Road Park - which is mere blocks away). Second, move the playground area away from the creek (aka Hazardous Area). And finally, consider your areas needs. The Asian and Hispanic population is growing around this park, see what they would use it for. I don't know what else to say other then recommending that (for now) you find another park then this one (Rosebud, Broadway and Oakhurst Park are far better for kids).

The City of Bedford has made a number of somewhat odd decisions lately in regards to their parks,…read moreincluding but not limited to the renaming of the Bedford Boys Ranch to Generations Park (a terrible name), going forward with a 70 million dollar park renovation project in the midst of a pandemic that has surely decreased city revenues, and putting in this tiny music park in front of the Old Bedford School. It looks like "Sparkling Ice" in some way sponsored this project, but in the end I think the money could have probably be better spent. The idea is cute: a park with musical instruments that are fun for kids to play but don't offend the parent's ear. Bicentennial Park in Southlake previously did a great job with this. The instruments at both parks have a nice sound - low chimes and soft drums that are actually quite soothing to listen to. The difference between Bicentennial Park and the Musical Pocket Playground is that Bicentennial Park has a traditional park surrounding the music area with slides, swings, etc. The musical instruments are fun and the kids do love them, but it can only hold their attention for so long. There needs to be something else available for play if the park is going to be a repeat destination for young families. What the Musical Pocket Playground does have in close proximity is the library, but with no walkway connecting the library to the music playground, people may not think to stop by when they are picking up their books. If you live in the area, it's worth stopping by to take a look, but I wouldn't plan on spending more than 15 minutes and I certainly wouldn't drive from another city.

I was impressed with the amount of shade provided by the trees. As hot as it has been lately, it was a relief to escape the rays of the sun. There is a children's playground and tables for the adults to use. Overall, I enjoyed walking around the park. If it was located a little more conveniently to where I lived, of course I would come out here more often. Come check it out!

There is also an unpaved area of the trail the goes along the north side of the creek that is quite beautiful. The play structures are pretty pathetic. Definitely for the 2 and under crowd. There is one near the parking lot and one at the end of the Trailwood park trail. Both are underwhelming. There are outhouses by the parking lot and a bare-bones, one-stall bathroom near the tennis courts. I am thankful for all parks with trails - what a great way to get out and get exercise - but I think there are better trails in the area.

They've got volleyball courts, tennis courts, playgrounds, fields, and bathrooms. All of Euless parks are connected by the trail and the city has done a phenomenal job.
