I stumbled into this place one rainy Saturday evening, looking for a hot drink and a warm place to escape the rain. Firstly I love the concept of having a cafe inside a flower shop. It was so cozy! Space has some comfy seating that is just so inviting. I ordered a single person teapot with a cookie shaped like a bear (so cute). The tea was lovely. Hot and perfectly brewed. This place is everythingggg I wanted a coffee shop to be - plants, comfy furniture, and good coffee - snacks. My friend recommended stopping for some matcha and pastries before continuing on our journey for the day. We settled in a cozy corner for some good conversation, as this shop is a laptop free zone. We got matcha made with rose water and oat milk, a cranberry Danish and almond croissant, all of which I would recommend to anyone who comes here. All the plants are on display for purchase, and they have a large variety of options. The plants are well taken care of by the staff. read more

We stumbled upon this coffee shop while walking around West Village. At first, we thought it was a plant shop but we saw some chairs outside and realized there was a coffee shop towards the back. Probably the cutest coffee shop I've ever been in, if I wasn't flying, I would've taken a plant too! Pre COVID times I used to pass by this place on my way to work and I always wanted to stop by and pick up some coffee. However, I always woke up late and couldn't add this stop to my morning schedule. Just a couple of weeks ago, I was finally able to stop by this place and ordered a oat milk latte and it did not disappoint. This flower shop and coffee shop that also serves pastries and baked goods is the perfect place to grab coffee with a friend and chat. The service there is always so friendly and the flowers they have are so beautiful. Rosecrans definitely does not disappoint and I love coming here for the entire vibes. read more

This review is for my visit yesterday, but goes back a year ago when I came in for coffee at 9:05 (opened at 9). There was one person working, not wearing a mask, and I tried to get merely a drip coffee to-go but there wasn't any coffee (???). She said to return in 20 minutes. I went somewhere else. Yesterday: Nice-looking place and great location, but do not order food. I love that you can scan a QR code right at the table outside but after that there was a lot of confusion and kind of a bizarre manner of choosing items, prohibiting you from knowing what you're really selecting. After I paid, I had to go inside to clarify the order. The server later came out to say that no order had come through, so I checked that I indeed did get the confirmation after paying. I got one of the many versions of avocado toast and when it arrived it was in a box and inside the box was a tiny 3"x3" piece of bread with 4-5 small slices of avocado. Worse than "mediocre" as another reviewer has stated. My friend had a similar experience and the server dismissed it all with "I just work here." No need to bother coming here again. read more

One of my favorite coffee shops in the city that doubles as something else (e.g. Book Club, Hi Collar)! Always puts me in a good mood when I go here. Their coffee and teas are solid, can't go wrong with anything honestly. The area around it itself is super cute, so it's perfect for picking up some drinks and plants to later walk around with. It's just outdoor seating for now, so it might be hard to sit through during the winter. read more

Had a great time at this cafe with my friends. They have small tables outside for outdoor seating. The inside is beautiful, full of plants and a small cafe in the back. There isn't much variety to the drinks, but I would recommend going for the vibe. The tables were not super socially distanced, and they're right beside the sidewalk and close to the road, so people seem to be very close to you when walking. read more

A cozy green haven in Greenwich Village! I went to Rosecrans recently with a group of four, and we had such a nice time sipping tea and watching the florists at work. My sister and I tried the hojicha latte and the matcha latte with rose water. Both were lovely with oat milk. My SO and hers had coffee and tea respectively. I also had a vegan muffin which was sizable and yummy. We sat on one of the couches directly against the glass floral display, so we had fun looking at and trying to identify the flowers by name (they have quite an assortment so this was harder than we thought it would be). In addition to the enclosed case housing loose flowers, the place is also decorated with bouquets and potted plants. It feels like you're lounging in a green house. All of the drinks and snacks were wonderful, and prices were very reasonable for the area. I'm excited to come back again soon! read more

The place is so beautiful. I could not wait to come downstairs from my nieces apartment where I am staying for a week and work in this gorgeous flower shop coffee house. I put my bag down, ordered pistachio milk two shot latte with vanilla. So excited and delighted for what was about to happen and then they told me I am not allowed to sit inside And work on my laptop. I have 20 to 40 emails that have to go out and so I had to cancel the coffee and now I'm looking for somewhere else. It's fine to have a laptop policy, but it's not fine to not have a sign on the front of the place. I'm 54 years old and there's no chance I would've seen the tiny little gift on the miniature floral arrangement on the table. The two lovely girls who work here were so sweet and sympathetic. It's a lovely policy because it leaves room for conversation and an appreciation of the beautiful space. But I'm leaving disappointed and apparently lots of people coming here disappointed that they can't stay to get their work done in this spot. I hope they put a sign on the front door. read more

My friends and I visit rosecrans daily for our morning coffee. Unfortunately today we witnessed the florist being extremely rude and unhelpful to an African American male customer. The owner was called but she failed or refused to understand the bigger issue. It wasn't about whether the demands of the customer were able to be met , it was about the treatment that he received from the florist. Wife said she wanted coffee and led me to this place. When we walked in I thought she went in the wrong door as the place looks like a plant shop. However coffee bar is near back. Coolest coffee shop I've been too. Very unique. If you like plants and coffee then you have to stop in and walk out with a latte and plant of your choice. Rosecrans has completely enhanced the corner of Greenwich and Christopher and offers a truly magical experience for coffee/tea/hanging with friends while they inspire with their gorgeous floral creations. When my friends from out of town ask for must-visit-places while in the City, I always include Rosecrans. This place is a true gem and the owner is super sweet and creative. A wonderful addition to the Greenwich Village community, this cafe, florist and gift shop is an oasis (opposite another at the Jefferson Market Garden). This corner needed a shop that exuded love and now it has one. As you walk in all your senses are engaged, from beautiful arrangements too the flowers, plants, tables, pillows, comfy chairs, gifts and pastries (some from Balthazar's). I went to order flowers for my wife's birthday. I said I wanted something nice, spring flowers, but they could choose which. They proposed $ 150, which ended up costing $200. On top of that they charged $ 50 to deliver to midtown (an Uber would have cost half of this!). The flowers which came were rather ordinary, disappointing and not of generous size. The evening after delivery, half of the flowers had died and had to be thrown away. Not to be recommended AT ALL. read more

Visited the West Village for the first time, Rosecrans has the best coffee and pastries! Why do you that is? It is the sister company of Adhoc Collective!
