I generally like seeing the growth of businesses in the Roseville area & how the mall has changed over the years. Rosedale has a decent variety of stores, really something for everyone. Instead of a typical food court they have a food hall which has had some turnover over the last few years. There's a more ritzy side of the mall that used to have a ton of restaurants and shops that you could only access from the outside, like a strip mall connected to the mall, on the AMC side. The movie theater is also not connected to the mall but walkable. I love how they decorate during the holiday season (at least in the past). It's a decent mall to shop at if you prefer less crowded vibes. read more

I had such a fun time attending the New Foods Party at Potluck in Rosedale Center. Rosedale Center has been updated and it looks so modern and aesthetically pleasing; this is my go to because it has just enough for the whole family; stores in everyone's price range, fun activities for the family (indoor playground, Sandbox, AMC theatre, etc) and of course food. Plus, it's not to crowded or overwhelming. If you haven't been you need to go, you won't be disappointed. read more

Came here to take advantage of the indoor walking on a chilly day. I hadn't been to the mall in quite some time and it has changed! Still a decent amount of stores. The mall is great for walking but on this day, it really was very dirty! Lots of trash that wasn't picked up and the bathroom was in was truly disgusting. Such a great mall and one of the only great ones left in the town cities. The only thing I noticed, because I had to pee, was there was no bathroom to be found. Sadly some of the stores are poorly staffed but that foment stop the great service. I'm glad I was able to get a couple last minute Christmas gifts and visit this great mall. This review is based on "the Santa "experience"" not the mall itself. As someone that has been coming to Rosedale mall for over 20 years it's crazy to see all of the spectacular improvements, it's quite beautiful. Everything is always clean and I think it's safe to say Rosedale center probably has the best food court - it may now be the best mall in the twin cities. Anyway back to the Santa experience - years prior the line was always crazy to visit with Santa so now that you can pre book a time slot with Santa was great. Now prepare if you do this (book ahead) you have to pay regardless of if you wanted (5) digital photos or not. I have always done photos with Santa in November, we may have been a little earlier than usual but to my surprise there was no one there. While this display is quite beautiful it's not giving Santa's workshop (see below from previous years) there's just no music, it's not warm and inviting it's Elsa's ice castle, it's just that cold and icy. Granted it has been several years since we have seen Santa, Covid stopped our Santa visit tradition and kids got older, but the tradition lives on seeing I just had a baby and I want her to feel the magic of Christmas. After stewing on this I won't be taking her to the Rosedale Santa experience anymore. I selected the "basic package" which was $35+ mind you you're with Santa for 5 min and get 5 digital files sent to your phone and a print package is an additional cost of $10.99 - THATS CRAZY. The more I sit with this I can't believe I actually paid $40 for this whole mediocre experience. As someone with experience as a photographer, you're supposed to pay attention to detail, everyone looking good? Everyone in place? She didn't do that so I kindly asked to redo the photos and she obliged, I'm sure only because we were the only ones there. If I recall years ago you'd pay $15 tops and you'd get a print done immediately after the visit. It was like riding the wild thing you'd get the paper folded frame with a labeled Santa print hence the "experience". I know I know, things cost more these days but dude $40. Rarely do I go to any mall anymore. Many years ago I used to work at this mall, at the 9 West Shoe store, and it's changed and evolved tremendously over the years, and I'm glad it's still around. Recently I joined another who was going there for specific items and had invited me along. We had no trouble finding a parking spot near to the first destination shop - Williams Sonoma. It was an easy in to get the desired items there, and then out, to walk to the nearby mall entrance to search for the annual See's Candies kiosk. We found it on the main floor level, in the center, just a ways down to the right from the entrance. Wow! Do they have a selection of chocolates and candies! There were many people shopping for confections in that area and we found the desired items with no problem. Just down the way from the kiosk, I marveled at the huge glittery star set on the floor as a kind of "sculpture", in front of the Von Maur store. Many mall visitors were taking snapshots of each other and in groups with the star in the make-up. It was an impressive piece of twinkling light! read more

Would strongly reconsider shopping here. I've literally seen security defend scalpers and stand up for people taking limited items away from children. Never thought it would come down to this but watching the lead of their security team misgender and demean individuals over things that were important to them was pretty disappointing. Malls seem to be on the way out, but Rosedale shines in my book. Medium sized, lots of parking, adequate amount of stores, clean, newly refreshed / remodeled, Potluck food hall, local craft vendors/stores, Sandbox Virtual Reality and Becker Furniture all exist. Recently visited for the 2023 holiday season and you will find the legendary big light up moose and lots of holiday decor including a piano player inside Von Maur. Very festive indeed! read more

With all the modern updates Rosedale Center really is a beautiful and enjoyable place to shop. Unlike a lot of other malls it seems to be thriving rather than declining. The food court has a variety of fun places to eat and the mall is anchored by Macy's and JCPenny's. There's also an AMC movie theater and an aquarium attraction for families. read more

Personally a big fan of Rosesdale! Since the pandemic, I haven't been going to malls much lately however, when I went recently, I was reminded with how great this mall is. They have a variety of stores, and it really hits the highlights for my shopping taste. Additionally, I've found both the restaurants (Potluck) and experiences (AMC) to be intentional and make for a one stop shop. I also find the mall to be pretty approachable. It is easy to navigate and doesn't have an overwhelming amount of people typically. I find it a lot better to shop here than in the Mall of America. if you can go during the holiday season, they have a fun few light displays that are indoors. read more

I remember seeing Manson and McGowan on the red carpet back in the day. It was hot. Or rather, one of them was hot. Manson didn't do it for me, hopefully he didn't do it for you either. But I found out at the time, if Marilyn Manson doesn't do it for you... Roseville. This is an 80s style Mall in the north suburbs of Minneapolis which is pretty large (yes I'm still talking about the mall) and can be a pain to get in and out of (yes I'm still talking about the mall) with all of the traffic (yes I'm still talking about the Mall) around this area but at the same time can be pretty decent (yes I'm.. never mind). A whole bunch of stores in here, but not as busy as some of the other malls - especially the Mall of America, which obviously is a massive destination for everybody. The Victoria's Secret is pretty cool and the mall itself is spacious and a good shop to visit if you like sexy stuff at high prices. Rosedale Center is a quaint mall with many cool shops, and has a new food court addition called Potluck. I very much enjoyed my visit over the holidays and spent a lot of time around the food court :) This place can get busy and because of the set-up of the mall, it can be hard to get around people. There was a lot of seating in the food hall, but during a busy time it completely filled and there are not a lot of options to sit outside of that area. Otherwise, I liked the decorations and soft music over the speakers. read more

As a mother of small children, I absolutely LOVE that they have a mothers room. I can feed my child in peace and privacy. I'm so grateful for that! I love coming to this mall when I need something or want to just stroll around without being in the big mall of america. It's a smaller mall but it still has plenty of shops, dining options and things for my kids to do. I also like how I can get personal services like haircuts, eyebrows, waxing, and nails done all under the same roof. There's literally something for everyone. Just 2 years ago after moving nearby, i discovered Rosedale. Convenience convenience convenience! EASY parking!! Less GAS! The TOP BEST Apple Store Genius Bar in the Twin Cities! Right by Costco in Maplewood ( cheap gas today of just $2.29!), clean, and more relaxed shopping because of less crowds. And an excellent CORPORATE T Mobile store just down the Street outside the Mall ( best in the area beside the top floor location at MOA). If you are looking for modern edgy clothing go to MOA during the week to avoid the terrible weekend crowds. If you want designer couture head to Nordstroms in Ridgedale, MOA or Edina's Galleria. Rosedale is " motherhood and apple pie" basic steady real everyday clothing and styles. Things most folks want today for they never go out of style and have good construction. The owners are doing a good job with tenant selection and modernizing upgrading the " feel" of the mall. MUCH more spacious feeling which helps relax shoppers. They eliminated a convenient small food court which helps the restaurants. The tiny old DQ upstairs will too be leaving once her lease is up ( retiring). Tenant turn over here is not as severe as at MOA. The owners are very careful who they select. This entire shopping area has JUST about EVERYTHING you need ( the best blue cross blue shield retail store, a BRAND new elegant Von Maur, a giant Target and great Cub on Snelling) and within 3-6 square miles. Rosedale has made many changes over the years and all for the better! Interactive Sea Quest and animal experience interactions. It's light, bright easily accessible location with a variety of shops and restaurants as well as a movie theatre. Potluck in Rosedale is great for unique, quality bite and respite from the bustle of all day shopping. Von Maur is a beautiful shopping department store. You can catch a flick, grab an orange julius, shop at Sephora, meet a sloth, get dinner with a great steak or sushi at crave and finish with a Grand Ol' Creamery cone from Potluck. read more

As far as regional malls go, this is one of my favorites. I love going to the MOA, but that trip is generally full of hassle -- traffic, parking, people, etc. If you want a mall to visit that offers a quick in and out type shopping trip, this one is great. I like the selection of stores and also of restaurants. They've got Big Bowl and Potbelly's, both worth the trip. They've also got a really nice, big AMC movie theater, which is one of my go-to locations for seeing a film in comfy stadium-seating type digs. My one biggest complaint about this mall is the layout. They have a bizzaire one-way traffic pattern that drives me nuts ... it can take forever to navigate to your desired destination because you can only drive one way on the outer loop around the mall. And getting to some of the restaurants requires you to actually exit the mall and walk outside ... very counter-intuitive and it takes awhile to figure out the first time. All of that said, this mall is clean, bright, and well maintained. There are plenty of good stores and a nice mix for shoppers of all ages. I really love their Macy's (it's well stocked and I always find something fun there). And I just enjoy the general vibe of the place. Easy access off of Snelling, it's a quick hop from Saint Paul. read more

Brick & mortar mall shopping seems to be thriving at Rosedale Center! I hadn't been to Rosedale for a long time. But my wife and I stopped by to goof off, to eat, and to do a little shopping before Christmas. We really enjoyed ourselves. We had fun looking at all of the holiday decorations and clowning around taking photos. My wife particularly enjoyed shopping at Macy's! (I'm glad they're still there.) We also bought some shoes and we had a fantastic lunch at Crave. I particularly like how they tastefully disguise some of the empty tenant spaces here & there. My first job ever was at Rosedale Mall. Excuse me, Rosedale Center... Like so many other businesses trying to reinvent with a new name and face lift, this place will always be just Rosedale. I have seen this mall transform so many times. Stores come and go. My second or thrid job at the now defunct Natural Wonders is gone. Rain stick anyone or a Deep Forest CD? Memories.... Anyone remember that pepto bismal bathroom on the lower level by JCP? Like many have noted, the parking is a bit of a pain. The one way thing is no fun, but just figure out where the concentration of stores will be and park there so not to have to drive round and round. The new outdoor streets of woodfield feel is ok, but there doesn't seem to be any access to the mall from the inside which is fine in the warmer months, but sucks in the winter time. (The DSW, Rocco , Loft area) Lots of your typical mall stores, decent anchor stores and alright restaurants. Was surprised to see that they added a Chipotle. I guess I haven't been here in awhile. Mall is clean and well maintained. I don't get train. Maplewood Mall has one too, but hey, if the kiddos like it, why not. I would just hate to be trying to maneuver that thing through the mall on a busy weekend or around the holidays. Eek for mall walkers and train riders. read more

Having worked at the Mall of America myself, and at Sephora no less, I can definitely attest to the horrors of parking at the MOA and having to search for a parking specifically because I am going to WORK at the Mall, not there to have fun like everyone else who goes to the Mall. Having said that, I really like the Rosedale Center. I can tell that it's a bit old, but they have taken the time to upgrade it a little bit too. That's a big plus. I was extremely surprised to see not one, but two Sephora shops at the Rosedale. One is in JCPenney's and the other is free-standing, next to Macy's. I was very pleased with the size of the Sephora in JCP, because it is much bigger than say, the Sephora at the Eden Prairie Mall (bless them though - they also had a good little Sephora, small but cute). Nevertheless, I had to go into both Sephoras, because each one had slightly different merchandise, and I know my merchandise, being an ex-Sephorite. I did not like the Caribou Coffee's open roofed, free-standing store. It reminded me of the one at the Southdale Center (just not a fan, I enjoy the Caribous at MOA because they look more "attached" to the other stores. It just makes me happier. I have spacial anxieties. But despite that, I still had coffee there and sat in one of the chairs. Almost reminded me of a school cafeteria, or a work break room. Too open. The only other downsides to this mall: The fact that I could not find Potbelly sandwiches or Chipotle, and apparently I had to enter from the AMC's side, and I could not access it from the main mall enclosure. I was disappointed and hungry. The other one is the crazy parking lot which had me circling around for ages trying to get back onto the 35W so I could go home! I loved that they had Helzberg Diamonds (where we bought our wedding rings) but it didn't have a Zales (where he bought my engagement ring) and I need both jewellery stores to do my twice-yearly ring check-ups for the lifetime warranty to remain active. So I will still have to go to MOA at least twice a year. Oh I think I can manage that, despite the parking lot horrors! :) read more

I have frequented Rosedale for many years and even worked here for a few months. As life goes, malls change constantly. I am disappointed we have no book store here any more. A sad and silly move but I know the market and demand can't be helped. My other favorite stores no longer exist here but Rosedale is still a great place to shop. Many food options (food court and restaurants) If Rosedale doesn't have what you need you can always find it in the numerous shops in this area. read more

I'm lucky to have Rosedale be the closest mall to my house; it really is a pleasant mall! Especially after the remodel (ongoing as of October '18). It's beautiful, clean, and very Mommy friendly. Included is photos of their new nursing room near Von Maur (also new!). Speaking of Von Maur, it's big and fancy and basically Macy's on steroids. Come with money, lots of it. I just heard from Rosedale staff that VM has a really amazing lounge and Mothers room as well but I have yet to check it out. I'm excited for the new food court or rather, food hall, to open. I am also patiently waiting for them to open a newly remodeled kids play area (hopefully!). Parking as usual is still a shit show but I think the newer deck by Von Maur will help a bit. I hate how it's essentially a one way all around the mall so unless you really know your way around and the secret way around to mid exits you'll end up circling the mall just to get the hell out there and to the exit you want. read more

Nice easy in and out... good variety of department stores: Macy's, Penney's, and Herberger's and various major retail stores throughout the mall...a nice food court...and a good variety of restaurants. I noticed that there a few stores missing in this mall....like there's no bookstores, toy store, or eyeglass store...there's probably more if I really looked and thought about it. read more

When Rosedale Center was designed it was the standard oval shaped mall so that we could see most stores at the same time while standing in a large open space in the middle. Side corridors are more of a destination point, not so much impulse. Then in the eighties the trend went to making malls out of warehouses, depots, dark dreary buildings or even building new malls to look like a renovated warehouse and the experts predicted malls like the Dales would soon be gone-of course we know that Bandana Square, The Conservatory, Riverplace, St. Anthony main malls are long gone as the ancient rule of line of site is still important to shoppers. Rosedale has managed to evolve with society by keeping a dynamic business selection and then adding on with an non-enclosed area which I never thought would be a success. After losing some anchors the space was divided for more variety, without having to go to a food court. There are more restaurants but that is survival. Is it like other malls? Yes, being too different no longer works. Is it on the plain side? Yes, it does not have a discount look but is trying not to push people away by appearing too high fashioned. Irritation: The mall canned music is loud and echos throughout the concourses. Each store has their own music mix loud and standing outside of store we can hear mall music and store music blasting out and clashing. As others have mentioned the one way belt loop may be safer, (I remember when it was two way), but can be confusing to find the exit you need. read more

Mall of America is where you go for a leisurely shopping afternoon, Rosedale is where you go when you know what you want and just want to get in and get out! They have all the staple stores you need that are in most malls but they also have some more high end store like BEBE that not all malls have. This mall IMO is really for women. There not many stores here for men aside from the department stores anchoring the mall and herbergers is due to close any day. There is a Von Maur opening in the fall though. The food court is gone so there isn't much food options besides the restaurants attached to the mall if you were looking for a quick bite. They are remodeling however and opening different stores and food options. I'll come back once that's all complete. read more

I've been a frequent consumer of this mall and i appreciate the variety of options available. There are stores for clothing (Forever 21, Express, PacSun), home items (Bath & Body Works, LUSH), entertainment (AMC Theaters, Games by James), technology (Apple, multiple network carriers), as well as large department stores (JCPenney, Macy's, Herberger's). They have great hours, which helps to balance out the high traffic typically experienced by the mall, as it can be conveniently accessed by two major highways. Since last year (2017), they've been undergoing renovation, which is seeming to be a great addition to an already great mall. This has caused a reduction in parking and outlets available, but am very excited about what's to come! read more

I like coming to Rosedale Mall. It's like a in between of Maplewood Mall and MOA. It's not too far from me and this mall isn't too small nor big. I love that it has a lot of stores that Maplewood doesn't and has some stores that are at MOA. Recently they have been doing updates on the mall, which is great! I feel like it's time and it's slowly coming along. They seem to be expanding and adding some more parking ramps(?) In addition, I like how there is more restaurants right outside of the mall alongside AMC. Not only that, if you're not feeling any of those restaurants, there are some within driving distance. read more

Currently under renovation, but still-- I was expecting more. The entire mall isn't the cleanest (for example, the food court tables were really sticky), and the bathrooms are tiny. Everything in this mall just seems old and neglected. On the bright side, parking was a breeze, and the folks who work here seemed really friendly. I'd say come here if you have a vey specific goal in mind (e.g., buy foundation at Sephora), but if you want to browse and spend an entire afternoon shopping, look elsewhere. read more

Of all the malls in the Twin Cities, I can tolerate this one the best. Three goods: 1. BIGGEST. FOREVER 21. EVER. It's large and in charge... and kind of tucked away next to the Herberger's. I will have to review that later, since it is quite an awesome store in comparison to the other Forevs locations. 2. They have all the stores I'd want to go to at the Mall of America, without the horror of actually being at the Mall of America. Including, but not limited to... Aldo, Sephora, Bare Escentuals, Banana Republic, Old Navy, J. Crew, DSW, Ann Taylor LOFT, Lucy, etc. You'll also find most of the other usual suspects, a Macy's and some other department stores. 3. Nice movie theater, decent places to eat like Potbelly, etc. Everything may be a chain, but it's not all Orange Julius and there's no theme park in the middle. One bad: The parking lot here is a nightmare and a half. Everything is a one-way. If you end up exiting or entering in the wrong place you may have to circle around the whole place to get out. Back in the day when I was a mall rat, this place used to be my jam. It's changed a lot since the mid 00's but I would say it's the next best alternative to the Mall of America. There's a good variety of department and retail stores throughout the mall as well as entertainment and dining options. In general, the mall is clean and relatively safe. I usually don't see too many randos roaming the mall asking people for cash...it's located in a pretty suburban areas so it's what you would expect. My usual stops when I go here are Forever 21, Sephora, Macy's, DSW, and the Brow Studio. For dining/entertainment purposes, I actually like the AMC theater, Granite City, Ruby Tuesday, Big Bowl, and Panera Bread. I'd say if you are in a pickle and you need a last minute outfit or gift for someone, you are bound to find something here because of the number of solid retail options to choose from. read more

Hey I know! Lets build a bunch of malls in one place and have everyone come! This is the same thinking that built the Mall of America, but a couple decades before. Thus, there's Har Mar, Rosedale, Crossroads, and a cluster of smaller strip malls all in about the same place. Rosedale is where all the teens go to socialize, so ohmigawd that's what it's about. Nowai! He said what? Oh-no-he-did-unt! Basically it's where all the superultraburb citizens come when they want to mix around with the scary but hot "city boys." They all roll pretty hard in their fathers minivans out here, so make sure to pack your best dead rapper lyrics when you hang with the jailbait. read more

This is personally my favorite mall in the area. I'm a huge fan of forever 21. Although they don't have a huge selection for big girls like me.. there's usually something I find that I like. Not to mention it's two levels full of clothes, shoes and jewelry! Ummmm... YES PLEASE! Another hot-spot for me is the Caribou located smack dab in the middle of the mall on the lower level! Sparkling peach black tea "moosed" with mango is the BOMB! Another mentionable spot is Big Bowl.. Yummy yummy asian food for a reasonable price! Lot's to see but not overwhelming like the Mall of America can be! read more
