Impeccable service, fantastic nigiri and rolls, well made drinks. The ambiance is sophisticated without being pretentious in any way. The miso soup is earthy, creamy and rich, and the spicy cucumber salad is a masterclass in texture. We will be back SOON!

Wow! This is some of the best service I have had in a long time. Everything from the people who brought us drinks to the people behind the bar describing the dishes were fantastic. We had probably 4 people waiting on us and it felt like Michelin star. And then the food was fantastic, some of the best sushi I have ever had. I had the spicy tuna roll and the spicy cucumber salad and both were amazing. My favorite though was the big fin tuna sashimi bite was melt in your mouth. This place is great!

Highly recommend making a reservation. I think we got there early enough they let us in without one. However, we saw them Turn people away because they were fully booked. Our waitress, Stacy, was amazing and so sweet! I loved that the spicy tuna was big chunks of tuna. All of the food had wonderful flavor! The chef did and incredible job with the nigiri with the little toppings to enhance the fish!

OMG! This place is amazing. We're traveling from out of town and have good sushi locally but having the local Maine fish was incredible. The Nigiri was out of this world, so impressed. The Dragonfly Salad was so fresh and delicious and you have to get the Miso!!! It was nice inside and really great vibes. Cherie was so incredible, gave amazing recommendations and such a joy to chat with. Amazing experience and highly recommend!

Fantastic meal as always! Service was impeccable. The spicy cucumbers are to die for and so is the mushroom udon. Do not sleep on dessert as their miso carrot cake is fire.

Insane meal all around! So glad they have a location here in NYC. Probably the best sushi meal I've had in the US. Next time I'd get a different cocktail or a glass of wine, my cocktail was just okay. Also important to note that 20% gratuity is added automatically no matter how big your party is (and on the receipt there is space for an additional tip on top of that). Never seen that anywhere so buyer beware!

Just had one of the most thoughtfully curated and professionally (yet casually) served meals of my life. After deciding on a couple dishes (the spicy cucumbers and the ceviche) Genevieve helped round out my meal with the perfect nigiri additions (smoked steelhead trout, black seabass and lean bluefin tuna). Also took the staff's recommendation of finishing off my meal with the coconut milk sorbet, and glad I did! It was perfectly sweet, bright and herbaceous. I lucked into a moment where Chris had just opened a bottle of sake that wouldn't have been offered by the glass otherwise (Brooklyn Kura #14) and it paired perfectly with my meal. He also poured me a taste of the Brooklyn Kura Dry Hopped sake which was so different and delicious! Loved dining at this intimate (and perfectly lit) bar. Genuinely enjoyed the quality (and quantity) of small talk with the staff. Wish I hadn't eaten my food too fast to take more photos!

Our first visit was a birthday special occasion so we had the $150/pp omikase. Even while devouring the 13 courses (plus dessert) we were planning to make it a regular stop and figuring out we could eat well for a third the cost. (But the omikase is a great splurge.) Exquisite food - and we eat a lot of sushi. Not traditional but impeccable.

Colin the best Sushi chef in the world!!!!!!

i can't express how much this was my best meal ever. Colin was an amazing chef, we did the omakase and he chose the most amazing dishes and it was actually the most delicious dinner i have had in a long long time.

    Nigiri, miso soup, local beer

This was my favorite sushi ever. My chefs recommended some items on the menu and they did not disappoint! My nigiri was Lean Bluefin Tuna and Amberjack. Oyster shooter was unique and different, and the soup was phenomenal.

The service was very good and she was extremely accommodating with any requests. The Kobe Punch was yummy and we had no complaints about the food. Although we don't like sushi, it's very cool to have the sushi bar available for people to watch the chefs make it! Kobe is a good option for food and there's nothing wrong with it, but I don't think this is our top pick for hibachi.

We came in for a little celebration with our daughter. We were greeted at the door and promptly sat, party of 8. We ordered our food and drinks, some alcoholic. Soon after, we noticed staff was starting to mop and clean the floors. After finishing our first round of drinks they cut us off 9:17, because they said they close at 9:30. No heads up. We also didn't get soup that was supposed to go with our meals because ' they weren't available ' !? Anyways, I suggested that if they have no intention on giving a good service, to just not seat people. It's disappointing to spend a lot of money in this economy for meh service. The waitress however was super nice and tried her hardest given the circumstances she was given by management.
