In a state where just about everything closes at 8pm this place is open late! (Well until 9pm). Placed a late order with them and they were kind enough to fill it. Got orange chicken, pad Thai and drunken noodle. Finding the spot isn't difficult. Parking behind it is a bit strange but offers a way into the restaurant from the back which is great. Staff, only met 1 fella who was very nice. Food was ready in about 15min which was awesome. Orange chicken - sauce is delicious and addictive. Chicken itself was a bit lacking in flavor. The amount of veggies and sauce was great. Pad Thai - while it didn't look very eye catching the flavor is what really jumped out. Having had Thai from many places, this one stood out. This place has it all! I travel for a living and enjoy eating at Thai food restaurants and I can confidently say Kennebunk Rice and Noodle is the best Thai food I have had in the State of Maine. The menu is diverse and full of traditional Vietnamese Dishs and Cuisnes including but not limited to Pad Thai, Pho, Vietnamese Sandwich's and so much more. I ordered a chicken pad Thai and the chicken was savory and well cooked. The noodles were not overly soggy or undercooked like a lot of places in Maine and was tasty overall. The only thing I would change with that pad Thai was the sauce it came with. It was a bit tart but not too over powering and still enjoyable. If you're really hungry and desperate for anything Thai or Vietnamese, then eat at KB Rice and Noodles. There's not much Thai/Vietnam atmosphere and the service was like, "I'll check on you in a minute; can't you see I'm busy on my phone and talking with my co-workers." I did my first ever order by take out. Was house sitting for my son. The food was very good and VERY generous portions. Eggs rolls are huge, but do lack flavor. Soup was great. Can't recommend based on deceptive pricing which seems borderline illegal. Slimey and nasty business practice. The food is fine, but I was confused as to why my take-out bill came out to $40 after ordering $25 worth of stuff. The owner ran to the back while all of this happened and left an employee to explain that they have a "new menu with new prices". KBK Rice and Noodles is hands down the best Vietnamese food in the area. The Phô is homemade and is like a hug to the soul. I order from here anytime I'm not feeling well or have tummy issues and the phô has some magic powers I think! It's really tasty and super authentic! I've also tried the bǔn cã (pork salad) and it's so fresh and refreshing on the hot days. The veggie fried rice is also to die for! Not only is the food delicious, but the service is always amazing! We had high hopes based on the ratings of this place. The summer rolls were good. The drunken noodle and pad Thai were incredibly sweet. The pad Thai was too sweet I couldn't eat it and had to send it back. They offered to make me something else or fix it but I wasn't feeling it. The drunken noodle wasn't spicy. There's potential. The drunken noodle tasted fresh but the lack of spice and over powering sweetness took away from the dish. Maybe the chefs are catering to the "American" palette by sweetening everything up. The service wasn't great. Our dirty dishes stayed on the table for a while. My wife's food was brought out 5-10 minutes before mine. They didn't ask us if we wanted desert or anything else. This is a great addition to the upper village dining scene in Kennebunk!! We haven't eaten there, but have gotten takeout on a number of occasions. Their pho is very tasty and so are the vermicelli bowls. We also like their crab rangoons and pad thai (though I prefer the Vietnamese options on the menu overall). The banh mi was very light on fillings so I would not order that again. The surprise hit was their Brussels sprouts, I'd definitely recommend adding them to your order!! Bubble tea was okayyy. Can't expect much and compare to an actual bubble shop though. I got brown sugar milk tea with boba and crystallized boba, which I never heard of. My wife and I went for dinner. This is a wonderful family owned restaurant. We started with the pan fried dumplings and veggie egg rolls which were excellent. We then had the rare beef pho. But I recently ordered Vietnamese items from KR&N. While not up to my Boston-Dorchester Vietnamese standards, it is the best pho in this area. The Crispy Lo Mein was delicious, this is just my leftovers! They gave me great portions and were super sweet! I prefer my tea to be sweeter and the boba chewier but that is me being picky. Spot on Thai food in downtown Kennebunk. I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai with a heat index of 3-out-of-5, and it was the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, tangy, and nutty. Ever since Thai Rose closed, Kennebunk has been in dire need of a new Thai restaurant. At long last, KRN has arrived to fill that long-empty void, offering not just Thai food but Vietnamese cuisine as well! My wife and I got takeout for dinner tonight and this was easily the best bun bowl I've ever had!
