Superb homemade ice cream from a connoisseur. Not overly sweet or heavy and a deep color for black raspberry.

A very sketchy looking place, inside and out. Busted rails, dirty floors. I got an ice cream to be polite, but I won't be back.

Last Friday we showed up for breakfast. There were two waitresses. The older blonde hair lady was so rude. Not once but 3 times.

Talk about a misleading yelp rating. This review is for the breakfast, 3 Stars at best. When we arrived we were not greeted. We watched as a 10 year old bused tables while cute that she is helping with the family business it did not equate to fast service on a busy breakfast time on a Sunday morning. The restaurant is clean but has a very strange decor thing going on. The food was fresh, well priced, large servings but generally kind of bland and left something to be desired. This review is based on the ice cream. Roselynn's is a good place to grab ice cream, located close to the New England Dragway. This country roadside ice cream parlor and restaurant serves up breakfast and lunch until 2PM and ice cream until 9PM. The atmosphere inside is very casual which features an ice cream/takeout counter and a full service dining room with table seating. The shiny finished wood walls in the dining room have a few antique tools hanging up. There's also picnic table seating out front. You can hear the roaring engines coming from the nearby speedway and dragway. The ice cream is homemade and there are around 30 flavors to choose from including black raspberry, red raspberry chip, purple cow, toffee butter crunch, butter pecan, cappucino chip, pistachio nut, M&M, cookies & cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, thin mint crunch, ginger, rum raisin, Almond Joy, samoa, and more. Cones, cups, waffle cones, sundaes, and frappes are offered. The prices here seem a bit high for the small/kiddie sizes but the prices seem pretty fair as the sizes get larger. Ice cream cones/cups: Kiddie ($3.45), Small ($3.75), Large ($4.50). Sundaes: 2 Scoop ($3.95), 3 Scoop ($4.45), 5 Scoop ($4.95), Frappes ($3.95). I ordered a 3 Scoop Sundae ($4.85 with tax) with scoops of toffee butter crunch, cappucino chip, and vegan coconut chip topped with peanut butter sauce and whipped cream. The sundae was a good sized and a bit messy to eat. The peanut butter sauce was good and smooth. The ice cream had a frozen ice milk texture. The cappucino chip had a nice flavor. The flavors of the coconut chip and toffee butter crunch seemed a bit muted, but refreshing. The ice cream sundae was good. As for the food menu offerings, the breakfast menu includes eggs, omelets, French toast, Belgian waffles, pancakes, and breakfast sides. The lunch menu offerings include burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, chicken fingers, fries, onion rings, cole slaw, and cottage cheese. The menu prices are reasonable, most items $2.99-$6.99. If I'm in the area, I will keep this place on my list for a breakfast stop, as it is very close to NH Route 101 Exit 8. read more

My husband and I love going to Roselynn's for breakfast and enjoy taking anyone who visits us from out of town as well. If you love homemade, made to order, fresh food especially at a reasonable price, you will love this restaurant. Homemade breads, muffins, fluffy pancakes, delicious waffles with all kinds of fresh toppings along with eggs any style, hash browns, bacon, etc. Breakfast hours are 7 Days from 7-2 not what is written on website. This is the best breakfast place along the Rte 125 corridor (on Rte 27), bar none! Their homemade bread is delicious, and their servers greet you with a genuine smile. The atmosphere is quaint and country. My order was fulfilled in less than 5 minutes. Glad I found this little gem, which is just a stone's throw off the beaten path. You cannot get a cheaper breakfast anywhere in the area. Add to that the food is good, fresh, made and served by a friendly staff, and it's kind of amazing that there isn't a line out the door at this place. Their always baked-fresh breads and muffins are fantastic. Coffee is good. And there's a Galaga machine by the front door. What isn't to love? Okay, so there's a hole-in-the-wall vibe that won't appeal to all. There's stuff kind of piled on shelves and behind the ice-cream counters, and the front steps could use a refreshing... but all of that fades to the background when you get the bill and realize you've eaten one heck of a decent meal for what seem like prices from 25 years ago. read more

Power outages everywhere. Normally their slow day. But they made sure everyone was well fed and got the long awaited coffee. Best breakfast, pancakes unbelievable. Service was fantastic. Prices to low. For real. Fo 20$ we got a veggie omelet with fried potatoes, toast n coffee. Plus 2 eggs, fried potatoes, kielbasa,grilled pumpkin bread, two blueberry pancakes not to forget our coffee. They did this by running a generator. Thank you soooo much. read more

Amazing Ice Cream! My husband and I both agree that this is the best ice cream we've ever had and that is saying something since we've got a place local to us that makes their own ice cream and Roselynn tops them! We stumbled upon this Gem while visiting New England Dragway and we're so glad we stopped. The staff was really nice. You can tell they really enjoy what they do and take great pride in the ice cream they make. The ice cream was to die for and they give you a generous portion. We been here quite a few times. We absolutely love the food- great quality and very consistent. The reason we come back is for the food however we think twice every time we come. The reason for this is the wait staff. While they're pleasant we have found a consistent lack of urgency in getting to tables, refilling coffee and clearing tables for people waiting in line. There are only 8 tables it shouldn't be so hard to provide good customer service. read more

Let me first say that their ice cream is not very tasty, it seems like they keep it to cold. However, I love everything else about this place. Their food is properly proceed, and is always very good. The owner makes his own breads and muffins and are always delicious. I've made it a habit to buy a loaf of their bread every holiday. I would absolutely recommend for breakfast. Simple breakfast for a bargain! The owner is a believer of wholesome & homemade including some specialty breads. This small spot in Epping on Rt 27 has an old fashioned country home feel and is never crowded so we always get a table right away. The ice cream is hand crafted on site (not in winter) using only fresh ingredients and not any mixes like the majority of ice cream shops these days. Our favorite is raspberry chocolate sorbet. This is a weekend staple for my wife and I when we are not traveling and I can't say anything bad about how great the food and people are here! You do not find many local places in New Hampshire like this. They always seem to go above and beyond to make sure you are all set. The owners are not just sitting in an office they are front and center to help you and even cook the amazing food! Find me another restaurant where the cook/owner will come out to your table not to just make sure your food is good but to see how your week was and just talk about life in general. They make you feel like you are part of the family each and every time you walk through the front doors. My only food for thought would be ice cream all year round but I understand there is cost in doing that and it's not really a winter treat. The home made bread makes up for it 110%. Keep up the good work and cant wait till our next visit. read more

This review is for three parts of this business. The food, the ice cram, and the fire wood they sell on the side. I will start with the bad and most disappointing. I am a new neighbor of this business of 2 years. I have tried their food and ice cream which I will get to in a moment but recently bought firewood from them. This was premium priced no deals and stack your own for supposedly 2 season dry wood . $425/ cord ! I can get guaranteed dry wood delivered and stacked for less than this but thought I would support a neighbor- wood is mostly green and either smokes us out or doesn't burn. This has made me not only angry but I also can't trust any other part of a business that would do this so I will not be eating there again. Like I said, I have only been in here a few times due to the small menu and terrible coffee(the worst coffee I have ever had watery tasteless ) the food seems fresh and cooked to order and great for a quick bite but not something I would travel for. The ice cream is good but inconsistent sometimes containing ice chunks. Overall I would recommend the restaurant only for a quick sandwhich for simple tastes but thanks goodness there have been more restaurants opening in Epping. Truly disappointed . read more

Excellent innovative home cooking. The owner cooks for the love of it and it shows. His homebaked breads are fabulous, especially the cinnamon raisin. Cozy no frills ambiance. I just wish they served honest sausage patties instead of the preformed links. I keep going back because the rest of it is so real and good. In the winter they light the fireplace! Not sure how large a group they could accomodate, but with notice I bet they'd rise to the occasion. Very inexpensive. read more

Delicious home made ice cream, how often do you find that? Well, every trip to Roselynn if you go. My Husband is an ice cream addict. (He once drove me over 1000 miles for ice cream- seriously) The first time we went, I had the samoa, which is coconut ice cream with chunks of chocolate, caramel and nuts. The texture and flavors were outstanding. My Husband had chocolate peanut butter ice cream which was fabulous. Rich dark chocolate with real peanut butter in it. The next time my Husband had the black raspberry which was so intensely flavored, it was hard to believe. I had the ginger ice cream which had chunks of real ginger in it. Again, outstanding. We met the owner and ice cream maker, who is clearly very excited about ice cream and truly loves what he does. This is not cheap ice cream, but it is worth every penny if you like really good ice cream. They also have a cement pad for motorcycle parking, which is extremely nice if you are riding. read more
