The Copper Lantern is one of my favorite spots. Their Eggs Benedict is always delicious, and they offer it in a variety of ways. Their home fried potatoes never disappoint either. My friend got the raspberry cream cheese stuffed French Toast, which was also delicious. (I sampled!) They have homemade baked goods (breads, muffins, and a variety of donuts) that are to-die-for, too. I never leave without a few donuts to take home. It's quaint and small inside, but not uncomfortably so. You can either sit by a cozy, lit fireplace, or by a window. The staff here is always friendly and welcoming. Quaint little spot on the main drag with tables on the periphery, glass-covered baked goods in the center, and a fireplace warming things. The blueberry muffins would have caught my eye even if I hadn't come for one already. Blueberry Muffin: Dense, wobbly, moist but not saturated, light angel cake flavor, numerous blueberries of good size, but not bulbous. Crunch in the crown from just the right amount of coarse sugar sprinkles, but no crispness in the overhang. Uniform pillowy soft texture throughout. Very good muffin. Coffee: Hot, medium bold flavor, and refills from your server. Service: Exceptionally good. Outstanding first impression. My husband and I went for a mid morning breakfast on a sunny day last week, and ate on their outside deck area. I had a very good spinach and cheese omelet with hash browns and tried their cobble bread, which is so amazing we got a a loaf to take home. (It has raisins and pecans and is so good). My husband loved his eggs Benedict which he said was cooked perfectly, with a creamy hollandaise sauce. The server was attentive, even though we were the only table outside and very friendly. If you want fabulous baked goods, including home made donuts, you'll find an array of delectable items to eat there or take home. Stopped for breakfast on the way home from a Maine weekend. The menu when you arrive has lots of specials. So don't just look at what was on Yelp. Unfortunately for us we ordered ahead so we could pick up and keep driving. The fruit cup special was good. It came with a bagel and one egg. Corned beef hash and eggs were also good cooked over easy with an English muffin. The coffee and OJ were also good. The staff were very busy but efficient and nice. The fresh baked goods were nice. First off, the overall rating of this place on Yelp is way too high. We were not greeted when we walked in to stand and wait, were not given a wait time although it was a short wait. Coffee was terrible, the food was even worse and less than stellar service. I can understand being short staffed, but the decency of being courteous by the wait staff was not even extended to us. There were staples in my eggs. Yes, people real staples that were closed staples. Not one or two but 4-6 cooked in my eggs. We told the owner quietly not to cause a scene because the place was packed. We asked the young girl who was working there to get the owner and pointed the staples to her. The girl was shocked. The owner came to the table and asked what we wanted. My best friend pointed the staples in my dish to her. The owners' reaction was mild at best. She stuck her fingers in the eggs and then seemed semi-shocked. Of course, she told me my meal was not charged, gee thanks. I will never step foot in this place again. I should have taken a picture but I was still processing the staples. I had witnesses and the owner knows I'm not making this up. You can't remove this review. She never apologized but merely said she doesn't know how that happened. Happy 4th of July 2021. I can't give zero stars, but I would if I could. Yelp feel free to contact me. I'll give the names of the witnesses. The owner can then deny it and if they do SHAME ON THEM. Had they truly apologized I probably would not have written this review but because I had to experience and their reaction was neutral it really upset me and that is why I'm posting the truth. I got home and processed the experience and I'm very traumatized about the whole situation. read more

My fiancé andI visited based on all of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. He had Eggs Benedict and I had Stuffed Raspberry French Toast. What a wonderful and tasty way to end our vacation to NH. Our waitress was wonderful! Very welcoming and almost felt like family. The atmosphere is also warm and homey. The food truly could not have been any better and the service was fast yet friendly and in no way rushed. After having bread with our meals, we also got donuts and muffins to bring home.
