THIS IS THE PLACE!!! I canNOT say enough positive things about this place and the guys that work there. My car left us stranded at the restaurant. I had no idea what service to call, and permission was obtained to leave my car there overnight. I asked a few people and read reviews. I had my car towed here. Classic mom & pop gas station. Actually, it's more like a Daryl & Daryl operation, but you get the point. More often than not, these guys have the cheapest gas prices in town where you can still use a debit/credit card (as opposed to cash-only discount stations). This may be because they are battling it out pricewise with the gargantuan 24 hour gas and deli chain down the street. The upside here is FULL SERVICE pumps if you prefer to stay in your car, rarely ever any long lines at the pump, easier in and out onto Rosemont, and a certified mechanic on duty during the week if you need any vehicle repairs. They always have some sort of wild novelty lighter for sale on the counter inside -- they make perfect gifts for the cigar smoker or pyromaniac in your life! Plus basic soft drinks, packaged snacks, and ultra cheap cups of grease monkey java in the morning! The only downside I can think of is that you cannot pay at the pump, but it doesn't seem to slow me down that much to pay at the counter. But it is easy to forget you have to pay afterwards and I've almost driven away w/o paying twice! Doh! read more

I am a long time customer. I love the small business going head to head with the behemoth down the street. The mechanics (Steve almost always handles my cars) are honest, fast and reasonable priced. The owner is almost always on the premises and the gas prices are the best in town. Happy to spend money with a good ol American Gas Station! This place is right near the Sheetz in Frederick near the entry to the 15. The prices are consistently the same or slightly lower than the Sheetz card price, but you don't have to have the card, and there is almost always less traffic in there. The people that work there are extra helpful and nice, go out of their way to be helpful really. When I was commuting from Frederick-Wheaton, I always got my gas there and now whenever I go visit my mom, I get my gas there. I am happy to go out of my way to get service done there when I next need service. I recommend Rosemont Service Station, fo' sho. read more

Over $1600 later I have been stranded three times in less than three weeks immediately following paying almost $2000 to Rosemont service station to safety inspector car. Worst part about this, is that I scheduled ahead of time with the mechanic that I thought I trusted... And he just pawned me off to a new person who obviously wasn't good enough to keep me safe for the three times I've been on the side of the road stranded. read more

I have been going there for over a year to get gas. The other day I needed air in my tires, so I went inside to have them turn on the machine. The lady told me it's only for regular customers, which I told her that I was and she had the nerve to say that she worked there for over 30 years and never once saw me. If I always use my card how would she know that I go there all the time. And if you have so many people coming thru there, how are you going to remember every faces. Maybe they should have cards for customers now. My opinion, don't think it should matter weather regular customer or not, you should be able to put air in your tires if necessary. The way she acted was like I was going to steal the whole pump or something. She basically called me a liar. Will never go there again. Treat people with "RESPECT". read more

I have to first echo the statement of "Candi" it IS like a station in Montana. I recently had a repair that would have taken other ships s week to attend to. Steve called me about what he diagnosed and even after saying I could easily wait a week since I had other means of transportation, I got a voicemail after work telling me it was ready for pickup. The work was done perfect and I could not be happier. The price was also spot on. I'd come to RSC for other things like tires etc but this was very nice work on a suspension related area. Well done! Truck handles great! There is simply nothing but good from Steve's shop and the fuel stop. No! I'm not a hundred years old, I just like to say fuel stop! read more

I have been coming here for over 17 years and love it. And I come all the way from northern Virginia (Crystal City) because I don't trust anybody but Steve to work on my car. We've been using this place since we first moved to Frederick in 2010 at the recommendation of my husband's coworker. We've always been very pleased with the work they've done and confident that they know what they're doing and not ripping us off (which is so often the case with auto service centers!) We feel that their prices are reasonable, especially when we had compared them with other places. I'd really recommend trying them. read more

I went to Rosemont service station because they are a local small business and figured they would have better prices than the dealerships. After I had the work done, I called the dealership to find out the cost of the part that was installed. To my surprise I was charged 33% over what it would've cost me if I bought the part myself and I am a consumer not a business which Im sure the business gets even better prices. Also, the dealership would've charged me 20% less for the same work. I never thought the a dealership would be cheaper than a local mom and pop type place. I called the service center and explained what I had found out and was told I don't understand the cost of doing business. He made the comparison that Walmart or Toyota wouldn't give it to you at cost, no business would. Sure but they are buying in bulk and the Rosemont station is not. They are providing a service and are not a retailer. I will make a more accurate comparison, I bought my tires online and had them sent to Mr. Tire they charged me for the service they performed and didn't up charge me on the product. I would've understood a 10% mark up or maybe a 15% but a 33% markup on a part is not what in my mind a mom and pop place would do. I believe that $80 dollars for less than an hours work is a fair price and the extra $45 dollars is not. Its my own fault for not shopping around and trusting that I was getting a good price. If you think thats the cost of doing business then by all means return there but if you want the same quality of work for less money this is not the place for you. read more
