They then said it needed a steering gear and that would be another $1500.00. They charged me $2400.00 to replace the steeing pump. My daughter has been helping me get in touch with the owner. That was a week ago - she has tried calling back into the store and he is always "out":...but they said he is working on it. I diagnose your car and let you know how many things are wrong. They said I needed a new battery - my battery wasn't only 6 months old. They lie and take advantage of people and do not stand behind their work or the lack there of!! After I left the tire shop, there was a clanking noise coming from one of tires. The tire shop couldn't find anything wrong and said there was probably something else loose in the car from hitting the water main so hard. My car is a VW and replacement parts are expensive, so another VW owner highly recommended Luis Alvarez Auto Repair cause they were local, honest, and fixed things right away. I called the shop at 1:30pm, they got me in at 2pm, and I was done by 3pm. Before he took it out, Luis showed me the small rock that was wedged down by the brake caliper.
