This hotel is big! Attached to the convention center and close to universal studios - so it was very busy! But it's easy to navigate, there were never long waits for the elevator, lots of food options and a great pool. Staff didn't seem to go out of their way to be friendly, so that's my only complaint! read more

The hotel is fine. The conference ballroom is nice with really good acoustics but they didn't make adjustments needed so people in the back of the ballroom could hear the speakers. The beds are comfortable and the restaurants serve decent food. Pool area is nice. My problem is that I went to the sushi restaurant at 9:30 and they told me they were closed despite the fact that it's published that they are open until 10. Me and another guy pressed them about the early close and then the two employees quickly adjusted and threw a sushi roll together for me. When I called to get a late checkout so I could finish a Teams meeting in my room I was told flatly that they don't do late checkouts! Our group has 800 people in their facility - I bet they could accommodate one late checkout if they cared. Finally, despite the fact that I had the do not disturb thing hanging on my door housekeeping was knocking on my door and yelling "housekeeping!" at 9:30 am! When I opened the door half-dressed to ask whats up? while pointing to the do not disturb sign hanging there the woman just shrugged and walked away. read more

Visiting Orlando for a short stay and I was looking for a hotel near the Convention Center. Came across Rosen Centre Hotel on Booking.com and figured it was wonderful choice due to proximity, and the photos show on the website that the rooms were updated and modern. Well!! I am not sure what happened but that is not what we got. Check out my pictures, and you see the modern photos of room are from the hotels posting on Booking.com, and then you'll see the photos of the room we were actually given on our stay from 3/4/23 to 3/5/23. The bed was a Murphy bed (not even a regular bed with height), room was not updated as expected, carpet smelled, the bathroom shower is very small. I'm a small guy, and it was small for me. The shower head was not working properly, which I shared with staff on 3/5/23, so hopefully they fix that for the next guest. Also, so you are aware, the gym is part of the Spa and the Spa I believe is ran by another company, so they will charge you $15 a day if you want to work out and stay healthy. I have never seen that; usually guests at hotels have access to simple amenities as this. Just in a nutshell, I am very disappointed with my stay here mostly for the bait and switch on the quality of the room I thought I was getting. I don't know how they are posting pictures of modern rooms (maybe some are, it's a big hotel), but the room I was assigned (Suite 735) is old and nothing like what they are marketing on booking.com. This is strictly based on my experience and the room I was provided. I will not stay here again and would rather choose a hotel that provides rooms as they look online and priced. I came here for business but I can honestly say Rosen center is an all-encompassing location. Anything that you really need is here without having to venture too far outside. But just in case, there is a Walgreens within walking distance to quickly stock the fridge in your room. There are restaurants and shopping on site. There's a spa and gym that you can pay for for the duration of your stay. To my knowledge it's a flat fee of $15 that gets you 24 hour access. There is a strip of trendy restaurants within walking/ scooter distance or a short taxi/ uber ride. There are restaurants like Hooters, Bahama, breeze, Cuba, libre, senor, frogs and much more. To knowledge there is a bus line that will also take you directly to SeaWorld if you are so inclined. Overall my stay here is great and I highly recommend if you're in the area. read more

I stayed here for about 4 nights for a work conference at the Orange County convention center next door. I was very pleased with my stay. The room was clean, check in was easy, parking for my rental car was safe and secure and the location of the hotel in general was super convenient. Regarding the food, there isn't any free breakfast buffet or anything but this is a huge hotel so it makes sense that they can't offer that kind of service here. Instead there was plenty of options for food downstairs on the lobby floor but I mainly went down to the Smooth Java cafe for a coffee in the morning (which they use starbucks coffee) and drove to get dinner and lunch elsewhere. They had a deli too that sold a bunch of snacks and pre-made sandwiches, etc. I did try the sandwich though and I wasn't a fan. Again, there is a walgreens, dennys, mcdonalds right across the street if you're not feeling the food at the hotel. To get to the convention center was super easy, I took the elevator down to the skywalk and walked there within 5 minutes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has a work conference at the convention center nearby for sure. read more

I can't honestly in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone... I came here for a one-week stay this past summer as part of a convention I was attending. However, I ran into a few different issues along the way, mainly because their spaces weren't as accessible as I had thought for blind people. The worst of them all was when, on the very last night of my stay, my room key was deactivated and when I got a new one, I was told to go upstairs to meet security outside my room so they could make sure I could get in. What ended up happening was I couldn't get on the elevator, then when I asked the front desk for help, they straight up told me that "since your name isn't on the room, we can't help you." I then spoke to a member of security, who basically told me he couldn't even let me upstairs because I "wasn't a guest at the hotel." I didn't pay for the room myself (everything was booked for me on my behalf), but I nearly got locked out of my room with less than seven hours before I had to leave for the airport, and since I wasn't fully packed yet they couldn't even go upstairs and bring me my stuff. In all my years of traveling, whether alone or with others, this is the worst hotel I've stayed at since 2015 when I tried an absolutely horrendous "hotel" in California (it was more of a glorified "motel" by LAX). I'm absolutely NEVER staying here again... next time, I'll just go to a Disney Wolrd property instead. When it comes to their accessibility for disabled guests, they could also do a lot better with this. I was originally told their staff was specifically being trained how to handle our group, since a majority of us were blind, but either I didn't see what they trained them in or how it made a difference, especially for a blind person that had never been there before. I also specifically asked for an accessible room, but did not receive one (didn't confirm if this was because of unavailability or because I didn't make the reservation). I only met maybe two or three staff members throughout the entire building who actually seemed to give a damn and actually provided pretty good service. Horrible... just horrible. read more

The positives; Room was good and was clean Harry's Bar and Grille- food and drink was good an reasonably priced Spa- signed up for a foot massage after golf. It was expensive but was very good. Masseuse gave 100% effort Most employees were very cordial and helpful The negatives: Pool is small for the qty of guest rooms. Most food and drink outside of Harry's was expensive; My ice cream bar was $7.87 and another guest said that she paid $17+ for a cup of ice cream. Lastly, a significant one. I joined a UF Pike Fraternity Golf Outing at the last minute and made my own reservation for 2 nites. During the outing , one of my friends said something about "the special rate " which turned out to be $100/nite less than what I was given. That afternoon I went to the front desk and asked for and adjustment. The desk clerk said she would check with the manager. Manager came out and said they "dont give credits" and "they cant adjust my rate for nite #2 because it was after 3pm" on that day. I said that's preposterous of course they can give a credit and of course they can adjust the rate ...what does time of day have to do with it? I refused to give up and we went back and forth....until the real manager came out and adjusted my rate for the second nite but would not adjust the rate for the first nite because "I yelled and screamed" at her employees....BS. I suppose logically defending my request and not backing down equates to screaming. Anyway...for now I am "punished" and I wouldn't go back there because of this. read more

Stayed here for work as part of the graduation weekend for Western Governors University. Tried checking in early on a Thursday but they were fully booked so I had to wait until 3. The room was clean and mostly quiet for a large hotel next to the convention center. Ate at Red's deli which was okay but a little overpriced (then again most hotel eateries are), had coffee and a muffin one morning, and had a beer from the lobby bar the next night. It's a great location for the convention center, and I got out and walked around the area -- mostly hotels and restaurants with shopping further along the street. Stayed here for three nights to visit Disney Land. The room was cheap and looked nice from the photo, but it was underwhelming to say the least. The first night we got here I found small dotted blood stains and other stains on the comforter and the pillowcase. It was too late to get the bedding changed so I slept on top of the cover. Not to mention the bedding all felt super cheap and it's not even tucked in the mattress. If you're not a restful sleeper the sheet will be rolled up and reveal the mattress. Also, I've never been to a hotel who doesn't take Uber eats delivery or allow the driver to go up to your hotel room to deliver food. Wouldn't stay here again. read more

I was looking forward to staying at this hotel next week for a major dog competition in Orlando. My dog has become seriously ill and we can not attend. I did not realize there was a 7 day cancellation deadline because the AKC gave a reduced rate ( Still $161 plus fees per night), I just had her to a specialist on Dec 4th which was within the 7 days of cancellation so I will be charged one night. I should have called immediately on Wednesday but it would have made no difference since it was still within 7 days. I tried to appeal to their compassion but they have none. Dogs get sick and they get sick fast- they don't alway conveniently get sick more than 7 days from a deadline. I am losing my entry fees by cancelling but the worst thing is possibly losing my dog. Thanks big corporation. I won't be staying there if I ever get a chance to enter this competition again. read more

My family had an awful experience at the Rossen Center in Orlando, Florida. Our stay was from 11/27/24-11/29/24. We stayed in a single king, room 1438. When we arrived, our key didn't work, and we had to wait for maintenance to come fix the door. Once inside, we noticed the bathtub was clogged, and the water wouldn't drain properly. But the real issue came when my wife and I started itching the morning of the 29th and we soon noticed bites that looked consistent with bedbugs. We searched the room and, to our horror, found multiple bedbugs under the bed sheets. We immediately went to the front desk, and when we showed the staff, they didn't seem concerned. The manager offered us a 25% discount on one night's stay (like 25 dollars), which we found completely unacceptable, given the severity of the situation. I told her that wasn't good enough and left. She did offered to have our belongings cleaned but said it would take several hours. We couldn't wait because we had to travel back home. To make matters worse, we had our 11-month-old baby with us. Even after I showed the manager a bedbug that I had trapped in a plastic bag, she refused to confirm it was a bedbug, stating that a third-party company would need to come out next week to assess the situation. I'm appalled by the lack of urgency and the way we were treated. I will never stay here again and strongly advise others to avoid this place. It is a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities, but is it worth the bedbugs? read more

Attended a conference at the Rosen Centre Hotel last week, but didn't actually stay there. I would have loved to have stayed at the hotel, but it was so overpriced; and what I hear from the guests is that they charge you for lots of extras. So this review is primarily based on hotel and not room. First off, it's a beautiful hotel. From walking into the hotel you enter a beautiful lobby and realize the place is huge with shops, restaurants, and even a car rental area. It's like walking into a small shopping arena. The hotel also had a beautiful pool and a couple of hot tubs (not sure if they were time machines). And the hotel was kept very clean, everywhere I went I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. Next the service at the hotel was awesome! From the valet greeting me at my Uber each morning to the waitstaff who made sure all of the attendees were satisfied with breakfasts and lunches. They worked their butt off for us. The Rosen Center is a nice hotel and would probably be an awesome place to stay; maybe next conference I'll stay. read more

Really a great conference hotel. Lots of accessible conference rooms, and a walkway to the Orlando Convention Center. They have a variety of restaurants on the lobby level, and a deli that remains open 24 hours a day. Still, it is old. While they try to keep up the rooms are noticeably out dates. The air conditioner in mine and my colleagues was criticized and struggled to keep up. My room felt very humid and the thermostat was in Celsius. I probably could have googled a solution but wasn't there to tinker with it. Unfortunately, the customer service just wasn't there either. This last straw sealed the deal on their rating. Didn't honor a request for a king bed made 6 weeks before check in. Parking attendant harassed entrance as a result of their poor QR parking system. It was hard for him to know, but harassing the guests seems like a poor way of intervention. No late checkout on the day of departure. First time I have ever been told when requesting an extra hour. Not terrible, but pretty surprising for a hotel like this. read more

Work summoned me to Orlando again, but instead of going directly to the Rosen Shingle Creek we came to the Rosen Centre first instead. I'll start with the rooms. They are about what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Room itself was neither too small nor too big. Comfortable beds, a bit of a small bathroom, good selection of TV channels (although I was a bit nonplussed about the built-in Chromecast not working). Bathroom is a bit odd as the sink was outside the actual room with the shower and the toilet, but it didn't really affect me too much. Hotel is definitely good for conferences, although nowhere near the size of what the Shingle Creek can offer. Decent food selection was to be had here though for the catered meals, especially compared to the Shingle Creek. Staff here were great, no complaints from me. Location was really good too. It's not as isolated as the Shingle Creek. In fact, it was pretty close to one of my favorite steakhouses in the area. Decent stay here, especially since I didn't pay. I think I'll stick with my Marriotts though. read more

Would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. My husband and I made a reservation via Priceline with this hotel for a weekend getaway in Orlando. Unfortunately my husband had a medical emergency and needed to be rushed to the hospital the night before our reservation. I called Priceline who tried to help and tried to get an exception from the hotel for a refund. I found out today (5 days later) that the hotel refused the refund exception even though I had also purchased trip insurance. read more

We stayed here a couple nights on our last trip to Universal and enjoyed the lucky budget rate we snagged, combined with excellent service and comfy rooms. Our first criteria in finding a place to stay on this trip, was somewhere that was less than 10 minutes from the park. Rosen was close and permitted us to easily Uber back and forth. We additionally wanted a nice place at a reasonable rate and were very excited when this hotel came up as a deal on my hotel finder app. Our checkin was easy as was our checking out process. The room was nice with a beautiful city view which was gorgeous all lit up at night. The beds and pillows were fluffy and clean and the provided toiletries had pleasant scents. The bathroom was a bit small and the towels slightly scratchy, but overall it was a nice room. The hotel also has a gym and pool as well as a restaurant we weren't able to utilize, but it was great to have all the options. Overall, it's a comfortable stay and convenient location for park visitors. read more

Avery and Michelle are true assets of this campus. Very professional and have walked me through until the day of the event. The whole team in this hotel has been amazing. From Banquet Manager Milo (I hope I got his name right) the Bellman, Valet have given an exceptional service to our whole guests. Kudos to the chef! Our food was delicious and all my guest was raving about it. Our VIP suite was also amazing! The view is really beautiful. My family had so much fun staying in this property. Not impressed at all with my stay or the property. Check in parking is almost non existent your lucky to grab a curb spot to go inside. The girl at check in was pleasant but the hotel didn't have a room available for me as per my reservation so they did upgrade me to a VIP suite with a pull down bed. The room was ok but dated with older beat up furniture and totally unnecessary for my needs. If you're expecting hot water in the shower turn it on go out for breakfast and head back, might be warm by then? The parking garage is a mess and finding a spot at times like the mall at Christmas. The garage is totally inconvenient as to location vs. accessibility to the lobby and elevators.It's also not constructive to charge a guest outrageous parking fees when staying on property. Too add insult to the parking fees nice that the elevators didn't work so you had to haul your luggage up to the 3rd deck. All in all it will be my last time utilizing the hotel and won't be recommending it to anyone else. Side Note you can skip your boiler plate responses to negative feedback. We accidentally booked the wrong night and asked for it to be changed only a few hits too late and the customer service was non existent. I will no longer choose to stay here should something similar happen again. It was our accident and they could not help when the hotel is not even remotely fully booked. My daughter and I stayed here for a volleyball tournament and I thought the hotel was nice. It was super convenient to the Orange County Convention Center. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. This is the first hotel I have stayed at since pre pandemic that cleaned the room each day. Housekeeping was great. The pool was nice. Parking prices were obscene and resulted in my decision to not rent a car. This saved me a lot of money. While I would have liked to have a car. We car pooled with teammates, used the trolley and Ubered. I would stay here if I had something at the convention center. If I was going to Orlando to go to Disney or Orlando I would stay elsewhere. read more

After spending the better part of a week here, I have to say, this is a very good hotel. The rooms themselves are decently nice, with a fridge, large TV, comfy beds, plenty of outlets and lights, and strong AC, though again, nothing to make you go wow. What did make me go wow was the fact that despite the amount of people here for multiple different conventions, the entire hotel, including rooms, remained spotless throughout my stay, and never seemed overcrowded. Really, the hotel and accommodations itself, for the price and excellent location, were worth roughly four stars. The fifth star comes from the staff here, I interacted with plenty of them, and all of them were incredible. Wendy specially is one of the nicest people I've ever gotten to meet and is definitely in the right industry. Overall, if you need a hotel near the Orange County Convention Center (attached to the west concourse), I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

I recently had a wonderful stay here. I arrived on a Saturday and stayed until Monday. Upon arriving, I was able to check in early which was nice! Unfortunately, on Monday I wasn't able to secure a late checkout but concierge was able to hold on to my bags. All of the staff I encountered were very helpful and courteous. My room was a gorgeous VIP suite that I absolutely adored. The bathroom was sort of an odd shape and shower was kind of small but overall the suite was beautiful and spacious! One night I needed an extra blanket and the hotel staff brought it to my room so quickly! Literally within 10 minutes I had an additional blanket. I would love to stay here again and in this exact room! The hotel has some nice restaurants on the premises, and my favorite one was by the outdoor pool. Harry's Poolside restaurant was fantastic and in the evenings they had live music which made for great ambience. All of the food and drinks I had there were great. I especially enjoyed the island coconut shrimp and the toasted coconut colada! If you visit Orlando, this is an awesome place to stay! read more

If your favorite place to eat and drink is Hooters, then you'll love this hotel. It basically is geared towards the crowd that seeks out sports bars, the noisier the better. Sitting in my room on the 6th floor, it's hard to think, since the music is so loud. The best way to entertain the crowd in the swimming pool, according to the management, is to put on some canned disco music, and to turn it up to Extra Loud. Arghh. But even eating is difficult. They have at least 6 restaurants, but the only ones open before 5 pm are a horrific deli grill and a pathetic buffet (plus an espresso stand, but that has very little food). So this is the epitome of a low-class place. But the reduced-price conference rate for a room is $279. Very big disconnect between price and value. The rooms themselves are similar to what you'd find at a Comfort Inn. Decent condition, but certainly nothing upscale about them. Also, a bathroom that is sized for midgets, not normal folks. Apart from noisy sports fans, nobody should come here. Of course, if your conference organizer has picked this hotel (like mine did), then grin and bear it. FYI, for your food needs, there is a McDonald's, Red Lobster, Dunkin', and Denny's within a 5 minute walk. The hotel itself does have an espresso stand. This one is surprisingly decent and not crazy prices. But you cannot get breakfast there, unless a muffin is all you need. There is also a 7-11 about 6-min walk away. Do NOT think you will get better food or better prices if you walk over to the Convention Center. Espresso drinks there are actually pricier than at the hotel. And the food assortment is what you'd find at a ball park, but before they upgraded food at some of the ball parks. The food literally looks disgusting at the OCCC. So if you're staying at the hotel and going to a meeting at the Convention Center, your best choice is to eat at Denny's or Red Lobster outside. But it's still not as bad to eat at the hotel as at the OCCC. It's not clear to me why so much of Orlando views their visitors as did P.T. Barnum: "There's a sucker born every minute." Every time that I have had to visit Orlando, I am grateful... grateful when I get on the plane that's heading back home. read more

Last month I stayed at this hotel for a conference I was attending. it was my first time not only attending the conference but also visiting. As someone who works in the Hospitality industry, I was disappointed with the lack of customer service. This also went into when I called to arrange something special for myself to commemorate the event. The person I had talked to on the phone had seem to have a lack of interest in answering my questions. As well as not providing any other solutions or explaining on how the process works. On my day of arrival, I arrived at 1 am not expecting full spirits at check-in due to the early hours. However, I did not receive an acknowledgment regarding hello or welcome from the front desk agents. Walking into the room it was clean with updating the clocks and charging ports. However, there was a lack of in-room dining with the food options in the hotel. The only in-room dining option was just for breakfast, which I must give thanks to as for the quick delivery to my room including the amount that was sent. With that being said I cannot say the same for the bathroom. It was very much out of date with the rest of the room including the faucet on the bathtub was starting to have the the seal around it coming off. In conclusion this hotel does seem to be updated all around. There were a few good points though I would not stay here in the near future. read more

It was a very underwhelming experience. My husband and I were here for a conference. I agree with many of these posts by saying that it doesn't live up to it's "hype" as it is advertised. I think it gets the job done for being a place to sleep and is reasonably clean. We stayed for 5 nights and with just two people in a standard 2 Queen bed room, there was only *ONE* drawer and a closet. It was a bit hard to unpack our clothes and no space to leave out our luggages. The bathroom is also quite tiny. It is a constant revolving door (which is fine) since many events/conferences occur at the conference center or nearby. I like its location relative to the restaurants on I-drive (a good 15-20 minute walk, depends on how fast you walk) and about 15-20 minutes drive/taxi ride to Disney Springs. They have a small little "cafe" inside the hotel, which is equipped with a lot of items ranging from home stuff to snacks to hot food and cold sandwiches. The cheese pizza is overcooked and barely had any cheese on it! They also have a breakfast grab and go cafe that serves some Starbucks items and prepackaged bagels, muffins, and bananas. For the length of your stay, regardless if you're staying for 1 or 5 nights, if you want to use their very small gym, it's $15!! It's not even complimentary for hotel guests. Overall, the people we encountered were pleasant and they get the job done, but I wouldn't say I had a memorable experience here. Would I come back again for the next conference? Probably not - I'll do a bit more research for different hotels just because I think I expected a bit more in a hotel for the price we paid ($$$) in January. read more

Clean rooms, friendly staff, decent food. All at reasonable prices. One of the best places to stay in Orlando. All attractions are a short Uber ride away. It is connected to the convention center via a bridge on the 2nd floor. Many different options for dining. Steak house, buffet, deli, sushi, taco bar. There is a "Starbucks" like coffee place in the lobby. I would definitely stay here again. read more
