I arrived at this hotel as my veterans organization picked it for our convention. Originally I had low expectations. Boy was I wrong. I have found the hotel a great place to stay. It is extremely clean, the staff is cordial and the offer many food choices. It is not a new hotel but it seems to me there must have been a major remodel in recent years. The room was very comfortable and had good lighting. The only slight complaint would be the size and layout of the bathroom. The other issue I found is the slow service at the lobby Starbucks. Unfortunately I have not experienced the best service at the Rosen Centre SPA! I had booked with a couple of friends a spa day, we have booked it through Groupons. We were super excited about the whole experience but one experience after the other made it disappointing. The lockers are nice, clean, they offer you a robe, towels and other amenities available in the locker room. When you have a treatment, you automatically have access to their steam room and their outdoor pool. I have added two enhancements to my treatment, the treatment is about 50-60 min. My massage therapist was very nice and informative but not the best massage I have had. The enhancements I added were done within the 50-60 min massage so imagine how the massage went, super fast! They squeeze the massage with the two additional adds on within the 50/60min. On our way out, one of our friends informed us to hurry up, empty your locker rooms and check out since they are closing early at 2pm, ON A SATURDAY! We wanted to enjoy the pool, relax have lunch, take a shower and get dressed before we leave. So that was a bit stressful for us. So we are us running to empty our locker room, and check out. While we were checking out, the spa manager tells us Oh we extended now till 3pm. Really? After we rushed right after our massage? We asked for the check, to our surprise we see a lot of charges that they were not addressed to us. We see a service charge of $27 plus two additional charges, we asked what they are and she tells us is an additional service charge on the enhancements. One it would be nice to ask if it's ok to charge the 20%. After asking why the service charge is too high for a $77 massage, she mentions that the service charge is based on the original price of the massage! WHAT! Never Have I heard that before!! (Btw I am hotelier for more than 15years) So why getting a discount on groupon?? When we asked the lady to remove those additional charges, she was offended and not nice about it at all. She was talking over us with a lot of attitude saying that she's the manager and she doesn't take the service charge. Overall a bad experience, the staff is nice but the Spa Manager just ruined our experience honestly. read more

When we head to Orlando we typically stay at a Disney hotel, but since we were there to attend Ice at the Gaylord Palms and we didn't want to spend a lot of hotels I went to hotwire and let them pick the hotel. The check in process is HORRIBLE! I am not sure if this is how it is all the time, but they had several large group events happening and the lobby was ridiculously packed. The managers were directing guests to various check in desks. This would make sense IF everyone's check in's were simple. The people who were in front of me in the larger line was done about 25 minutes before me. One of the managers basically blamed the hotel guests for not having all their documents ready. Seriously? How about create a queue line and take one person at a time as the reps finish instead of making people mad. The hotel is clean and they have a parking garage. The parking garage is FAR from the room so you have to walk through the ballrooms to get to the lobby and elevators (another negative). Of the 4 times we went through the security gate only ONCE did security ask us if we were checking in or staying at the hotel. ONCE. The elevators are segmented so they aren't crazy busy. Four cars for floors 1-15 and 4 for the remaining. (About the only plus). The coffee shop serves Starbucks and has almond, soy and coconut milk but will not put your sweetener in. He seemed like he was doing me a favor to even make me a coffee. They have a couple of restaurants and places to get snacks. The pizza was $17 for a small cheese pizza. While it smelled good I can understand why I say a lot of people walking in with Dominos. All in all the room was nice and very clean. The common areas and Public restrooms were clean as well. Would it be my first choice to stay there again? Nope. Would I hate it if Priceline or Hotwire gave me a great deal? I'd be okay with it. read more

I feel like I was made out to be the criminal and all I wanted was help that I never got. In town for a sporting event, and I have mixed reviews on the Rozen. I would say the rooms are modern and clean and kept up by the staff so that was a joy. Another positive note is the pool is huge and the grounds are kept up so it's a nice hotel overall. On the negative side they were overrun with three or four different conventioneers/events so I couldn't order any food on one of the nights from the main restaurant S&B so I was relegated to the other options which are niche and not he food I like to eat. Also there are no microwaves in the room so you're kinda screwed if you want to buy something and heat it up or heat up some leftovers. They had one Microwave on the first floor diner which didn't work very well and there was a line I stood in for 10 minutes so that was ridiculous. You also have to pay to print at a business center which I'm definitely not use to at other hotels. Can't say I would stay here again if it wasn't for the event so make sure it fits your needs and budget before booking. read more

This was our 2nd time this trip staying at a Rosen hotel and we had a good experience. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Carpet looked clean and bathrooom was also clean. Hotel lobby was big and we got checked in fairly quickly. Good amount of restaurants in and around the hotel. Hotel close to the convention center. Hotel had self parking which was convenient for us since we had a rental. Parking garage wasn't too far from the lobby. I had no complaints with our stay. This is very nice hotel. The room was super clean and spacious. The rest of the hotel was just as clean. They have several large convention sized ballrooms. There was also more then enough parking, which is usually a problem at many Orlando hotels. Here's the bad part. Check in was a nightmare. There were several large convention sized parties checking in at the same time. There was definitely not enough people to handle it and a lot of the rooms for them were not ready. Management did not do a good job managing the flow. Parking, while there was plenty of parking spaces available, they were very tight for someone with a full sized pickup or SUV. I moved to the top floor where I did not have to worry about being double parked. The other problem was the lack of security the two nights we parked. They never checked to see if we belonged there when we entered the parking area. The distance from the parking lot to the elevator was incredible. It was like we were being punished for not using valet parking The one restaurant we ate in was awful. The food was just okay and the service was some of the worst I've ever had. We would have tried some of the other restaurants, but a first impression is a lasting one. Only if I got another good deal I would stay here again. read more

I just want to start off by saying that my overall experience here has been very meh. You can't say this place is like Quality Inn, but it also certainly doesn't live up to the hype that it advertises itself to be. Right off the bat, the price per night is ridiculous because it's right next to the Orange Convention Center. Yes, there is a sky bridge that connects the hotel to the Convention Center, but is it worth the $250-$300 per night? Maybe, if the showers don't fluctuate in temperature, parking is free (it's actually $25 per night), AC is less noisy, and the food options in the hotel are actually decent quality. At that point, it probably IS better to just stay at a Quality Inn near the Convention Center instead. Also if you have to pay $25 per day for parking, at least have the parking garage in front of the entrance and not all the way in the back. The garage is directly opposite where the main entrance is, so it's actually somewhat of a walk from the garage to the elevators to go to your room. I broke 10,000 steps everyday while here and half of those steps are probably because of the fact that I had to walk back and forth between the parking garage and to my room. There are several food options in the hotel, but do yourself a favor eat elsewhere. Literally, there are several high quality restaurants pretty much within walking distance from Rosen Centre. All in all, I would not have picked to stay here if it wasn't for the fact I had a very busy event at the Orange Convention Center AND the fact that I had some financial support to stay here. read more

Signature Orlando hotel. You're not gonna find any Rosen hotel anywhere in the United States because it's an Orlando thing. So,, let's get started shall we. I like the massive lobby,, it's really nice to see stuff like that. Makes it feel like you're about to check in to a really nice hotel. There's a lounge area that's huge. There's also shops and restaurants in the hotel as well. The rooms are ok. There's a bed, there's a bathroom, there's a window, a desk with an office chair. It's alright, it's at least super complete. There's also restaurants around the area if you choose not to eat in the hotel. I guess this hotel fell in the category of "over hyped" type. I don't see it... I wish I did. But if I was a chicken fingers and fried potato stick eater, I guess I can see the appeal. Everything else fell hella short of expectations. This is a nice business hotel. The room was clean and well maintained. The hotel is well located and walking distance to several nice restaurants and entertainment areas. The area is touristy but pretty safe. I was there for work so I did not use the amenities. I was very disappointed to see a late charge added to my bill. This was for pallet charges related to an event at the hotel. A receipt should have been given to me for reimbursement. This really should have happened at the show not 3 days later. My Amex was charged without any notice at check out. I have never seen something like this. It was unprofessional. I did catch it on my Amex Summary and will eventually be able to get reimbursed. There has got to be a better way to handle these kind of charges... If you are going here for an event be sure to discuss all show charges and get a separate receipt. Otherwise you will be dealing with accounting at a later date... Good luck... read more

Dropped off my brand new car in the $38 daily valet, thinking it would be taken care of, and parked in a secure area, only to request the car and have the valet drive up with it with a misaligned, deeply scratched bumper, with missing paint. When you are paying for parking and even more for valet, there is an expectation that they will park your car in a secure location, and protect your vehicle, not just try to make money out of you. I can even understand that accidents happen, but no one took a second of their time to let me know beforehand that something had happened with the car. I was the one who had to point it out. To make matters worse, after pointing it out, another car was brought by the valet for another person, that was also severely damaged on their passenger's door. I spent over 3 hours of my vacation day waiting on managers to show up and resolving the issue. Not to mention that after all that, Felix, the Rosen Centre Hotel Manager didn't take any responsibility, and simply stated that the valet service is provided by a third party, and that they would process the claim. He didn't bother to show any customer appreciation whatsoever, or even attempt to compensate for the inconvenience, not even a gesture. The hotel itself is acceptable, maybe a bit expensive simply because of their location, as features are reasonable at best (extremely noisy AC), but their service leaves much to be desired. My vacation was ruined, and I spent much of it solving a problem they created, and did the bear minimum to resolve it. read more

The Rosen Centre Hotel is conveniently located across from the Orange County Convention Center and about 5 miles from Universal Orlando. We were visiting from Friday through Sunday, bid $89/night for a 4 star property on Priceline and were awarded this property. When we arrived we were told there was no place to park in front of the hotel while we checked in and unloaded our bags, and we were sent around the back to park in the garage. It's a bit odd when driving to the garage and not terribly welcoming as one must drive around the side of the hotel, pass trash dumpsters and loading and service areas, make a number of turns and finally come to the garage entrance. Once parked and we made our way inside, there was a long walk through the conference areas, past the restaurants, bar and entrance to the pool, but once we finally got to the front desk, check-in was fast and easy. This hotel contains a very large conference center, a few larger bars and restaurants, a tiny Mexican eatery and similar sized sushi place which were really just counter seating with a guy behind it taking orders, making food and serving. The only on-property restaurant we took advantage of was Harry's Poolside, where we had a few appetizers on Friday after we arrived here, and we also ordered from there while we lounged by the pool and took advantage of both the swimming pool and the hot tubs on Saturday. Everything we had from Harry's Poolside was good and unlike our experience with Universal Resort, the drinks from this poolside bar were well made. The room where we stayed was nicely appointed and looked as if it was recently updated. One oddity was that the sink was located outside the actual bathroom and was more or less open to the room. Perhaps that's convenient for some hotel guests, but it seemed a bit odd to have to exit the bathroom in order to shave or brush one's teeth, and to do it in view of others staying there. The channel selection on the TV was good and there was an in-room coffee maker. Wi-Fi was free and fast. The bed was comfortable and I slept well on both nights of our stay; The CVS that's adjacent to this hotel was also a bonus. Note that they normally charge I believe $15/night for guests to park overnight in the adjacent garage. Maybe we were lucky, or it was just because we tended to get back later at night after we'd visited the park and the gate for the garage was open, but we were fortunate enough to park free of charge all weekend. read more

I stayed her for a conference for a few nights. The hotel rooms and bathroom were very clean, as well as the conference rooms and areas around the hotel. The water in the shower was a little slow to drain, but I was staying in the room myself so I didn't have to worry about standing in someone else's shower puddle if I had to share. There are many options for dining, so you do not have to leave the hotel to eat. However, there are also wonderful places to dine along the strip, so venturing around the hotel would be worth your while. The hotel has a pool-no fancy slides or waterfalls, but it will keep you cool in the Florida sun. I was disappointed that the cost of the room did not include the use of the fitness center. This would have cost an additional fee and just didn't want to pay it out of principle. The fitness center is no more special than other hotel gyms I have used so I just didn't understand why they would require an extra fee to use it. read more

This is an independent hotel I stayed at for a conference. Overall a good hotel with big clean rooms and nice views of the area. The bed was very comfortable with good linens. The bathroom was a bit small with OK towels. On the downside, there was very few outlet for business travelers and the hairdryer was "el-cheapo"! In addition, the shower head was crappy and the water pressure was weak. Come on Rosen Centre, you can do better than that. There were plenty of places to eat and they have a great market with an abundance of food, snacks and drinks. The hotel is nice and it has many amenities. I was here for a couple days for a convention. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The only issue I had is they did not clean my room daily, and you have to request new towels if you should need additional towels. I am used to having my room clean daily after a long day of work. It was a little disappointing to come back to the hotel room to used towels still where you left it, and my trash not taken out of the room. No other issues and if I would stay here again- I would request my room be cleaned daily next time. read more

This was my second time staying at a Rosen hotel, and Priceline found me a great looking hotel room! The pool is big, and the hotel has tons of food options. You've got a deli, coffee shop, and some shwankier restaurants. All in the comfort of your hotel. When I stayed during Labor Day weekend there were a lot of kids church groups in town as well. This is a great place to stay with a group of people since they have so many rooms to accommodate everyone. You could also hold your own event in one of the many ballrooms, or always visit the convention center easily if that's what brings you to town. I ended up sleeping half the day away while I was here, so you can definitely count on some comfort and quiet. read more

I was here for a work event. Unfortunately, the customer service was a bit rough. I was charged for someone else's room service. When I inquired, the young lady at the front desk was helpful. But she could not provide proof that I would not be charged. A "manager" came to assist and was exceptionally rude. He used a passive-aggressive condescending tone and refused to provide any documentation that this charge was removed! He treated me like this was my error!! Now I find out it was charged to my bank card and now I have to wait for a refund to get my money back...over their error. Also, they refused to provide proof that the incidentals hold was taken off my account. They refused for many of us at this event. We must have those receipts to facilitate our record keeping! The room itself...the A\C was very loud. I had to wear earplugs to sleep. The A/C in the building and throughout was weak and inconsistent. The hallways and elevator are like hot boxes and extremely uncomfortable. Most staff walking around are not friendly, at all. I know customer service is a tough job, especially at a huge tourist location. But you still need to treat people with respect. One of those days, your sweet little Kyle will mouth-off to the wrong person. Please handle your employees. This incident could have easily been resolved with no issue, had this overgrown child handled the situation with a gram of professionalism. read more

I live in Orlando and our house was hit by Hurricane Irma and besides a little bit of damage to the house we lost our electricity and we had no running water. The first day was OK there was a nice wind outside and the temperature was in the low 80s and we were able to sleep OK that night the next day the temperature was up in the high 80s and it was very very uncomfortable very hard to sleep plus we were feeling grungy. I was getting depressed, starting to feel sorry for myself! A friend who live in NY heard about the Rosen hotel Hurricane Irma Special. There were no rooms available but then I called Tues and was able to book a room for two nights. When we arrived, tired, hungry, sweaty, and depressed and with our senior citizen twelve year old golden retriever we were greeted as if we were old friends who they were happy to see. Everybody was smiling, asking how we, are escorting us to the room, wishing we will enjoy our stay, etc. and the hot shower was amazing, great water pressure! The bed was very comfortable! There was a special dog walking area with poop bags and everyone walking their dogs was friendly. There were ice machines on every floor and washers and dryers on every other floor. It's really like a home away from home. I did not want to leave!!! Thank you so much to Mr. Harris Rosen for being such a generous and thoughtful man , I can tell you really care about the people in Orlando and all of Florida to do such a nice thing for us when we are just feeling like the world has beaten us up! Dirty, rusty and cracked tub, I had to clean it before taking a shower, tissue holder broken, sink stopper broken, AC not working properly, no cable TV to watch NBA game and no one answers the phone to reorder towels!! The Rosen will nickel and dime you to death. $15 a day for gym use. I've never encountered a hotel that charged to use the gym. They wouldn't even allow me to see the gym before paying. I was happy to get this booking because of the proximity to the Orange County Convention Center. The check in process was long, only three attendants were working the desk. The room was very underwhelming, one drawer, nine hangers and a chair that you could not sit in because it was between the bed and air conditioning unit. Night Five we found we had visitors in our room. Bed Bugs! The manager on duty was not happy to be called to our room. He would not acknowledge the bed bug we captured for him. We had to pack and move to another room. We were told we would get an update on the situation the following day and some type of refund after a pest control company went through the room. The pillows are terrible, the hallways are depressing and my room smelled like cigarettes. Seems the bathrooms are setup for sharing (a bit odd if you're all alone) with the vanity outside and makes for a bit awkward experience getting in the shower behind the door. Stayed for a conference so it wasn't my choice. Overall the staff was very kind and receptive to my needs. Quick when I needed a new key and kept my initial requests in mind for room placement. Highlight of the hotel was the little cafe at the front that serves Starbucks products - not just the brewed hotel version, but actual lattes and teas. They're not an official store though so don't expect all items and you can't use your app to order or pay. The maids were very curtios and the bell man picked up my manyyyy pieces of luggage and happily :) packed my car at checkout even though I was not leaving until later. They had a DJ at night who pumped up all us zumba Instructors to party and dance till midnight. The food is always great at any restaurant on the premise. We had an awesome experience here! We booked a blind Priceline deal and this is the hotel we got. We booked "any room available" and upon check-in requested a king sized bed on a high floor. They had one king sized bed left on the 21st floor. It was perfect! I check every hotel I stay in for bed bugs (if you don't, please consider checking, it's not worth the risk!) Our room was spotless. There was not one stain, mark, or discoloring on the mattress. No bugs here. The hotel has a big pool and multiple bar and food options which is super cool. Additionally, the location is amazing. It's near everything you want to see in Orlando: Disney, Universal, museums, malls, etc. Two things that could've been better: 1) We forgot our room number (goofy, I know!) and the parking attendant told us to go to the front desk, get the number, and drive back to her. Weird! The person at the front desk told us she could've looked it up by our last name as they normally do. I feel like they should know what to do and at the very least, not sell each other out lol. No big deal though. 2) If you don't use valet, they make you walk through the back entrance which means walking through the gathering area between conference rooms. This is just uncomfortable as we were clearly on vacation in a room full of businessmen.
